On Saturday, Eugene with Focus On Video Studios came to do the videography for my wedding/reception. Eugene was very mannerable and professional. Eugene moved through the crowd, to capture every moment, without distracting the flow of events. I look forward to seeing the finished products. I will update my review to include my feedback on the videos

Focus on Video captured my daughter's wedding in video. They were inconspicuous during the ceremony and reception, but the videos were beautifully done! Can't say enough about the quality of their work and their reasonable price.

Initially, Bernard was great. He offered an affordable price, was friendly, I liked the samples of his work that I found online, and he was willing to do a couple interview prior to our wedding. The day of, Bernard was great too. On time, friendly, professional, and seemed to work well with the photographer we had hired. Afterward is when things got sketchy. The video was not ready when he said it would be, with no communication to that effect. When I emailed him to inquire, he apologized and said it would be ready the following week. No problem. When I got the video, I really liked the way he had put the different segments together, but, although he had asked me for my song selections, he had used remixes of the songs I had requested, and one of the songs was completely wrong. In addition, the volume of the music was so high that it really competed with our interview sections, with the speeches during dinner, etc. I called Bernard and asked him to fix the video and remove the wrong song that he used-- it was the "International Players Anthem" by UGK-- who wants that in their wedding video?? Anyway, he was friendly and willing to make the change. He asked me for another song selection-- I gave it to him. On this revision, he used the wrong song again, and turned the volume down so much you could hear all of the ambient noises occurring in the event. In addition, the video was choppier and there were portions with no background music at all. The revision was worse than the original. I told him this, and just asked him to send me the video without music, and I would just do the music myself. He declined and said that the video was property of the studio. He said he could not continue to re-edit the video without additional cost. Why should I pay you more money to do what you said you would do originally? The final version is again worse than the first and each time the video was received late. I'm so disappointed. You get what you pay for I guess. I would not use him again. I will say, that I have seen some of his work that was great, so I guess it's just the luck of the draw.

Focus on Video & Photography responded with the following comments: In response the this review, my company went over and above to satisfy this customer. As a business owner with many satisfied clients , there are client that no matter much value you add to their wedding ($450) they are never satisfied. In our defense we did not pick the music, we allowed the customer to choose. They did not specify which version. Also customer requested I remove baby crying repeatedly, not possible without compromising ambient audio. Is this our fault too? This customer received additional hours; Love story at Piedmont Park, Ceremony, Reception and a beautiful crafted highlight video outlining their romance leading up to the wedding day. Lastly, if she was truly unsatisfied with the finished product why not ask for a refund. My point taken.

I would highly recommend Focus on Video. Bernard is so gifted and talented -- we LOVE the end result of his highlight video of my daughter's wedding and everyone who has viewed the video has been very impressed. I didn't think we could even afford a video, but I took a shot at posting an offering for what we COULD afford and feel so blessed that Focus On Video answered -- they came a long distance to film, were at the wedding early and stayed late. The end result is a treasure -- a film which perfectly captured the feeling of the day, preserves one of our most precious memories and, I feel, is one of the best wedding decisions we made. As they say, "thanks for the memories," Bernard, and may God bless you greatly as you have blessed us! Sandi Mc.

We filmed our Love Story video with Mr. McRae yesterday afternoon, and we had an awesome time! We were very impressed with Mr. McRae's professionalism and how easy it was to work with him. He used a variety of cameras and video equipment to ensure that he captured our moments from different views, and he allowed us to select the background scenes at our film site that we wanted to feature in our video. We can't wait to see the final product!
