I'm glad I met Ben when I did because without him I wouldn't have ever conquered my fear of going to the gym. Lifting weights was a completely new thing to me, but Ben has shown and educated me a lot so far since I began training with him. I also got 1-on-1 nutritional advice and knowledge of what to eat and what not to eat. He's also former military which makes scheduling easy to deal with as my schedule changes a lot. I have been working with Christine for a couple years now. First off, let me just say that her professionalism and friendliness is a breath of fresh air over the big box gym trainers I've tried in the past. Her gym is a private gym with everything, I mean everything, you need to get the job done. It's in Kakaako and even has free parking! Christine always come on time, prepared and ready to train me for each session. She keeps the workouts interesting and different so that the routine doesn't become routine. As a hard gainer (naturally skinny) she understands what I need to grow. I like to be pushed hard and knowing she has my spot when we go heavy is a very secure feeling which is important. Christine also knows her nutrition very well. Nutrition is such a huge part of fitness and my diet was off. With her guidance she helped me clean up my diet and I'm happy to say the results are showing! Lastly, I definitely recommend Fit Form Hawaii if your looking to get back in shape or if you want to take your training to the next level. Christine is great for both!

What can I say, other than Christine is the best trainer on island. Christine is attentive to your mental and physical well being and actually adjusts your workouts to fit your needs for that day. This is a skill that you cannot find in just any trainer. I feel like I have her full attention to our training time and that this is money well spent. Christine will push you, but knows when you need a little break. After 3 months with Christine and her coaching on food intake and working out, I feel 10 years younger. My work schedule is crazy and I needed someone flexible. Also, someone pleasant I want to see at the end of my busy work day. The thought of paying someone to exercise me sounded crazy. My first training session went excellent!! Christine has a plethora of knowledge to bestow on me including the importance of my diet and of course my form during each exercise. She had me sweating much more than I have in the past on my own. The exercises we started with seemed rudimentary which will be great if you're a beginner but the intensity was high to keep my heart rate up. Christine added this small touch where she gently placed a couple fingers on the muscle the exercise was working which helped me focus on the contraction of it. It's the little things that count.

Having hit mid-life I went for the 'usual tests' and was told I have osteopenia in my lower back as well as higher than normal cholesterol. Everything I've read says diet and exercise is the answer. I liked his approach and problem understanding and felt this is the trainer for me. I am updating my review now that it’s been about six months since I’ve been training with Dru. I train with Dru four times a week and I do believe he’s worth every penny. I have lost 20 pounds so far and continue to not only shred fat but also get stronger. When I first started with Dru I could barely do one push up. With hard work and dedication I am now able to not only do more than 50 push-ups without rest but I continue to see progress in my form and strength. Dru dedicates his time to each of his clients. He’s committed,focused,and professional. If you have a goal you’d want to hit he will without a doubt help you achieve it as long as you meet him half way. I love swimming with fins and i did a lot of free style with the habit of only breathing on one side. I suddently got my left shoulder frozen. I decided to train with a coach that would know exactly how to help me recover complete range of motion so i can move and swim again. I started to learn how to stretch and work with elastic bands and light weights to regain flexibility and strength. And then i progressed toward kettle bell and TRX training. Carson has the gift to listen and understand your needs and being very grounded and perfectionnist, he would go the extra mile to give you the workout that suits you! My shoulder completely recovered and i can swim both sides now. He also made me aware of tightness in my neck and right shoulder slightly more elevated while carring my purse! Carson tought me also how to squat properly and my right knee is no longer cracking... Professional, caring, genuine and straighforward! It's extemely rare nowadays! He wanted me to be able to continue on my own that training so i can swim without injuring myself again. I feel much stronger now. I also liked the combination of pilates and yoga to strenghten my core. And training with my own body weight with the TRX and kettle bell was a fantastic way to gain balance, strength and mobility. Carson obviously loves people and wants you to feel good about yourself and succeed! I can't thank him enough! You have your perfect trainer right there:))

Tony is a very knowledgeable trainer, fitness and nutrition. He challenges you and pushes you to do things you never thought you could do! I learned a lot of new things all the time with Tony. He definitely practices what he preaches. He is also very accommodating to reschedule when I can't attend a workout session. The workouts aren't the same thing over and over. Typically it's specific workouts for 4-5 weeks but there's progression throughout the time you do it, then the workouts change. I like the idea that you can see the progression in the weights or reps/sets from what you first started off as. If you're looking to start working on your fitness or maybe you're already advanced and feel like you want a challenge...then I recommend Tony. He will without a doubt help you start your fitness journey if you're a beginner or give you that tough challenge, if you're more experienced!
