Personal Training

It is very hard to find a good personal trainer in Kailua. Dan and Cody are great trainers. It's very rare to get the benefit of doing personal training with someone that is also a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Cody is outstanding! He is very knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to interact with. Cody creates programs that not only meet your goals, but are also varied, challenging and innovative. He explains the reasons behind exercises and makes sure that you are performing them with proper form. I find his physical therapy expertise, as well as his insights into biomechanics and physiology to be invaluable in helping me regain my mobility and improving my fitness level. I highly recommend Cody - he will make you look forward to your next training session!

Cody is an excellent personal trainer. He was recommended to me by my previous trainer at the Northeastern University gym, who was leaving the job. I liked Cody's training even better than the first trainer's. Perhaps the thing that stood out most was the enormous variety of exercises/routines that Cody put me through. Many of these exercises are not the standard things you usually see guys doing at the gym, so I'm sure I would never have discovered them on my own. And the routines challenged my body in ways I hadn't experienced before. Even though I told Cody from our first session what my fitness priorities were, he never stopped designing new varieties to the workouts. I was sold on just letting him challenge me in ways that he thought were important for my overall health and fitness. Cody was great at explaining the reasons behind what we were doing, describing the physiological and biomechanical details. On a more personal level, he was always entertaining, cheerful, and fun to talk to. Good times!

I have been training with Cody for over a year now. He is incredibly personable as well as knowledgeable in his field. He has always listened to my goals and tailored the style of training toward helping me achieve them. When I was focusing on building muscle, he created workouts for me around lifting weights, however when I deciding to start marathon training, he shifted my program to work targeted muscle groups for injury prevention. He always offers advice on nutrition to supplement my training. I really love how Cody provides insight about why certain exercises are better than others, what muscles groups are being worked while performing exercises, and he focuses heavily on form, posture, and how to prevent injury. He emphasizes pushing yourself to new limits while also stressing the importance of listening to your body. Not only is Cody a great trainer but he is incredibly outgoing and easy to talk to. I would strongly recommend Cody to anyone looking for a personal trainer.

    We are focused on making fitness a convenient option for your busy lifestyle. We develop personalized training packages to suit your schedule. Our pricing is competitive with the current fitness market, and we're confident your experience will exceed expectations.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    We offer a one-hour assessment with an in-depth interview where we will have time to discuss past medical history, any injuries, and potential concerns. During the assessment, we will perform a thorough biomechanical assessment to see your movement biases or restrictions. This time will be used to establish a solid plan moving forward so you can reach your goals.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    All coaches at InspireMVMT are licensed Physical Therapists holding Doctoral degrees in their field of study. We are also licensed with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) with the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification. All CSCS certified coaches must hold a bachelor's degree in an exercise-related field. Extensive academic and clinical backgrounds in the realms of human movement, exercise science, and rehabilitation provide extra layers of depth to our program design.
