I hired Josh for tutoring while I'm going through an undergrad college business statistics course and have received above and beyond what I payed for. I have had several successful sessions over the past 4 weeks and I plan to schedule another tutoring session before the class is up. I would not hesitate to hire him for other tutoring if I end up needing more assistance in his areas of expertise. Josh has an easy going personality which is very conducive to establishing good communication. Sometimes tutoring can be awkward and slow moving since you're meeting with a complete stranger but his enthusiasm and laid back demeanor make it quite easy to utilize the time you pay him for. As far as his education and experience he is more than qualified to tutor statistics as well as his other areas of proficiency. With all of those impressive degrees under his belt I assure you his knowledge base makes him considerably proficient a tutoring. Josh is flexible and easily able to meet the needs of his students and offers a well rounded set of services which even includes proofreading papers after the tutoring sessions at no extra cost. He charges a great price for services which is sometimes difficult to find here on Thumbtack. For my project there were many who offered rates that were completely out of the realm of reasonable. Lastly, and most importantly, the sessions are the only reason why I grasp any of the material at all. If I ever hear of someone needing tutoring or consulting I will definitely refer them to Josh. He provides an astounding high quality service and I appreciate it. Do not hesitate to book a session with him! http://www.aspireedcoach.com/
Jeannie is a very knowledgeable tutor with strength in English, Writing, Literature, Business, Science, Civics, History, and many other subjects. She has worked with my children from elementary into high school. I've watch my children blossom as she expands on ideas they are covering in school and make connections to other aspects of life. Jeannie's approach has helped my children improve their grades and succeed in learning. She understands the adolescent mind set and has an adaptive and flexible style.
Chema is encouraging and patient while tutoring my daughter in math, and his easygoing nature helps to ease her anxiety (and mine) about math. Thank you Chema! 😀
My son desperately needs help with his math work. Pat has been available, responsive, and works well with my son. I recommend him for Algebra tutoring.
Chris is awesome! He has been so helpful and patient in teaching me college algebra
Is Ian still tutoring? AH
Herb has been tutoring our son for two years. He had a D in geometry when he started with Herb. With Herb's help, he pulled his grade up to a solid B. We found Herb's help to be so beneficial that we decided to start with him right at the beginning of this year for Algebra II and he has had a B/B+ in that class all year. In addition to being a great math tutor, Herb is a really nice guy and super flexible, willing to adjust the schedule as needed. We highly recommend Herb!
Mathnasium is a phenomenal place! I am currently a senior at the University of Idaho and these guys were able to help me out with 400 level math classes! I had met with other private tutors who could not help me. Mathnasium is the reason I passed those classes! Thank you!
Puentes was able to accommodate exactly what I was looking for, which was rather specific. I wanted a private tutor twice weekly for an hour at a price I could afford long enough to become fluent. Puentes is priced very fairly, making it not only a great place to learn, but also one that is sustainable long term. Their immersion techniques can be intimidating at first, but I feel that they will definitely work for me, forcing me to use the language so I can learn it better. I would recommend Puentes to anyone considering learning another language.

I passed all my math classes while I was in high school. I never went to summer school for any math class.
I help with math. I've completed years of math including trigonometry, calculus, and differential equation. I can, for sure, help with basic math needs, like algebra, etc.
As a child, I struggled greatly in school. I didn't have a tutor to help me either. Let me help your child.

I don't require commitments or cancellation notices. Sometimes the student needs help with just one or two assignments, not 30+ hours of tutoring (i.e. over a month). Sometimes scheduling conflicts will pop-up out of nowhere. You never know when your kid is going to get sick. By not requiring long-term commitments, or penalizing sudden cancellations, I can focus more on helping the students.
I have not met another teacher who has taught kindergarten through twelfth grade special needs students at public schools, charter schools, and online schools.
