Brandon, Eddie, and Andy of Rent-a-Son just finished our yard, and all I can say is "WOW"! From the moment Brandon first arrived to look at our yard and give us an estimate straight through to the end of the project, he and his crew were friendly, personable, honest and professional. They really have a way of putting you at ease and explaining details of the project without making you feel stupid for not knowing the basics of landscaping.
Our project consisted of completely redoing the lawn and flower beds of a property we bought as a foreclosure. The yard was in pretty rough shape, the lawn consisting of nothing but crabgrass and weeds and the ground being horribly rutted and uneven, with way too much dirt on the property and a slope causing rain and snowmelt to flow towards the house. There was also a section of cedar fencing which had been left unfinished by the previous owners.
Rent-A-Son installed new fencing, rototilled the yard and removed the excess dirt, leveled the yard to grade, planted grass-seed, laid a concrete border around the perimeter of the house as well as poured a new section of sidewalk, redid the channeling of the vinyl siding, leveled the tops of several tree stumps so I can install birdhouses on them, prepped all of the flowerbeds with felt underlayment to prevent weeds, surprised me with several large, gorgeous landscaping boulders, and sprayed for spiders.
All of this for less than the estimate we got JUST TO DO THE LAWN from a well-known landscaping business.
You can believe that I will be calling Rent-A-Son for future projects...I already plan on having them repair our siding, replace some missing roof shingles, install concrete curbing for another flowerbed, and any other home-improvement projects we need. They do it all, take extreme pride in their work, and are genuinely not happy until you're happy.
What a blessing it was to find these guys!
I sincerely hope they publish before/after pics of our yard...you'll be able to see what I mean for yourself!
