My teenager wakes up on Saturday mornings for piano lessons! That's how good Harmony is! Can't recommend it enough.
Great place, wonderful teacher!!!
We have really enjoyed having our daughter take piano lessons from Tawna. She does very well with kids. Tawna is very professional and wants your student to succeed. I love that she uses whatever method will work best for your students learning ability rather than teaching out of only one! I really love that she uses the TCW Theory Gymnastics.
I am very excited to start my violin lessons with a knowledgeable, professional and kind teacher. I feel a bit like Billy Madison. I will be the oldest person in the orchestra should I choose to join lol.
Megan teaches my son piano. He enjoys music and played a little at school, so I searched to find more for him. Megan sat with my son in the first lesson to evaluate exactly where he was at to provide the right curriculum and how she could help him succeed. He enjoys the challenge with his weekly lesson, and I like the personnel one on one instruction he is receiving. Megan home is also inviting and comfortable for both the parent and the students.
Karla is professional, thorough, encouraging and just enough "fun" for my granddaughter to "want" to learn her piano pieces. Karla is a beautiful pianist herself, so an excellent example!
My daughter has been taking piano lessons from Steve for the past 8 years. She began when she was 7. From the very beginning Steve has taught her proper technique and form that has served her well in her later years. Steve has taught her theory from the very beginning and now my daughter has impressed her private saxophone teacher and school band teacher with her in depth theory knowledge. Steve is a kind, sweet man who is truly interested in helping my child succeed, but he also pushes her when she needs it but always in a positive way. Steve is very knowledgeable and holds degrees in music. His prices are very reasonable for the amount of experience he has. Steve allows the students opportunities to compete in music festivals throughout the year. My daughter took 2nd place at the Sonatina Festival in 2011 for her playing level. The whole Slaughter family are wonderful and support Steve by always having a family member in the home while he is teaching students. I highly recommend Steve Slaughter as a piano teacher for beginning through advanced students!
Andi has been our oldest daughter's piano teacher for the past four years. She is amazing, dedicated teacher and our daughter has LOVED taking lessons from her. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a piano teacher for their child. You will not find a kinder, more talented instructor and your child will thrive under her direction!
Irina is very professional and is an outstanding teacher. Lessons are expensive; however in this case, she is worth every penny and I believe we get what we pay for. I am delighted to have found her!
She's great with kids. Very patient and kind.
I teach private and group piano lessons, ages four and up. I offer services at all levels, from beginning through advanced. I do particularly enjoy teaching the intermediate-level student. I also offer recreational music-making groups, geared toward adults. These groups are taught in 8- to 12-week sessions and are focused groups.
My 13 year old daughter has been taking voice and piano with Jenn for several years and loves her lessons. Jenn manages to have her working on theory in addition to learning and performing contemporary and popular music pieces. Jenn is not only a great music coach, she is also well organized. Lesson times are held to and what to practice at home is written down. We are so glad she was recommended to us!
Natalie is a talented piano instructor and possesses a very friendly teaching style. My daughter enjoys her and looks forward to going to her lesson each week!
I provide dance classes for three years old to adult. Lessons include tap, jazz, gymnastics, creative movement, hip-hop, lyrical and ballet. I also offer piano lessons to beginners and intermediate players.
Hello, and thank you for looking on Thumbtack for a private instructor! I teach piano, voice, and guitar to beginner through intermediate levels. I work with each individual and help them gain understanding and competence in what they want to do as a musician. I work with you at your own pace. I have a studio, which is not wheelchair accessible, and for those who are disabled, I will travel to you. I charge more to travel, but I charge everyone for the month in advance. At the studio, I charge $25 per half-hour lesson and $45 per hour. So for 4 weeks, that would equal $100 or $180. If there are five lessons in a month, then the price is adjusted accordingly, i.e., $125 and $225. If I am traveling to you, my prices are $35 per half hour and $55 per hour. My location is 5 minutes north of the airport and 6 minutes west of downtown Boise. The address is 355 N Orchard, upstairs in Suite 207.
I teach according to the student's needs and my main motivation is charity.
I have 35 years of experience in teaching private piano lessons and 18 years of experience teaching group and private voice lessons. I am university-trained in both piano and voice. In piano, I teach theory along with all the major and minor scales, chords, and arpeggios from beginners to advanced students. I enjoy teaching all levels and I have a fun approach to teaching beginners of all ages. I use Faber, Alfred and Bastien lesson books, plus levels 1 through 10 classical books. I also teach technique out of Dozen A Day. Voice lessons include an emphasis on proper breathing (very important), posture and relaxation, many vocalizes (vocal exercises), technique books, diction, and many enjoyable songs to sing and practice. I am positive and patient, with one of my main goals being, to help instill a great love of music in all of my students. I expect students to practice a minimum of five days per week. Lessons are $15.00 per 30-minute lesson and $22.50 per 45-minute lesson (for more advanced students), one lesson each week. I live between Franklin and Overland in Boise close to the Meridian boundary.
For your convenience, I will come to your home to teach piano. I have taught about 38 years. I will take people of any age as long as they know their letters through G.
I'm cheaper than most they piano teachers. I'm patient and kind. I will let my students choose their own songs for recital performance.
Piano lessons and voice lessons are offered in a comfortable home studio. You can't beat getting to use a Yamaha Clavinova digital piano and acoustic grand piano at your lessons. Your teacher has over 15 years of experience and a studio of 35-40 students. All ages are welcome! Adults can learn to read music. Adults with the goal of playing for enjoyment can do easy play on the Clavinova. You will sound great! Come experience the joy of creating music.
I have been playing the piano for about 15 years and have a natural ability for it. I have taught my little sister how to play and have also been contacted by many friends and family about teaching. I would love to share my talents with others and am looking for beginner pianists to teach! As I am brand new to this, my prices are very reasonable and definitely negotiable! Please contact me if you have any questions or if you are interested in learning piano!
