FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates are comparable to other professionals within my geographical location....however, my pricing includes not only the services I provide but the location and equipment (no gym fees!). I also can customize programs for individuals that are exercise savvy and don't require the one on one training but still want the what and the how. This would be conducted more through online communication. A consultation/fitness assessment is still required. It's important to determine if an individual has developed any compensations due to repetitive movements performed in their occupation, sports training, an injury or surgery where the affected area had not been healed or rehabbed properly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with any new customer starts with a consultation. I need to hear from the client what their goals are, what is motivating those goals, what prior experiences they may have had, good or bad, when pursuing a healthier lifestyle. The information may be subjective, but it's still a perspective I need to hear from the individual. It helps me to feel where their head is at and also to possibly correct some myths or misconceptions they may have about exercise and nutrition. The consultation also covers a fitness assessment that encompasses the more objective information such as data results. Once all of the information is obtained, I then translate back to the client how it pertains to them and how their goals will be approached. My job after that is to teach, instruct, coach, and motivate my clients so they.... **will gain more knowledge about their anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanics, exercise physiology, motor learning, and nutrition... **will learn to develop goal-specific exercise programs that incorporate resistance, flexibility, cardiovascular, and other modes of training... **will be able to perform exercise movements accurately and correctly with the visible results of improved posture, body alignment. and physique.... **will be able to train safely and effectively on their own... can experience benefits to their health and wellness that will lead to improved performances of activities in daily living
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've completed my certification for CES, Corrective Exercise Specialist and now pursuing certification for Nutrition Specialist.
