In total they completely remodeled our kitchen, two bathrooms, sanded and restrained the hardwood floors, installed new closet doors, painted throughout, and brought our electrical and plumbing up to current code. This project took about 8 months, during which time Ed was in constant communication with us and our HOA, coordinating to make sure everything stayed on track. He was always accessible whenever we had concerns and made sure to address them to our satisfaction. Everyone on his team was very nice and courteous, especially given that we were living in the construction area for part of the time. Ed’s initial quote was accurate and the only overages were items we specifically upgraded ourselves or asked to modify. We are very happy with the quality of craftsmanship and Ed’s commitment to integrity and excellence. We highly recommend ES Carpentry for all your home remodeling needs. Since having the work done I have noticed that I don't get the huge icicles that I used to on the front of my house from snow melting on the roof and refreezing at the soffit. Mike and his crew did an AMAZING job. Not at one point did I feel like he was being dishonest. He was transparent at every turn. He also was able to provide personal opinions on our requests as well as other jobs being done by other groups during our renovations. It is hard to find a contractor you can trust 100%. Jamada’s communication and professionalism put my fears at ease. From day one, he really listened to my design ideas. Every detail I cared about—the feature fireplace wall, two-tone kitchen cabinets with brass mesh, and the lighting—was executed thoughtfully and with a “how do we make this even better?” attitude. I have always found it difficult to find a good contractor. Recently this has become even more difficult due to the labor shortage COVID has caused. When I decided to renovate my condo I had extremely high standards that I set for the contractor I was going to hire. I was looking for someone who was extremely skilled at their craft, a good communicator who promptly responded to calls and text messages, and who was trustworthy. I was doubtful I would find someone who checked all of the boxes. However, I was blown away when I met with Jose and his brother George from Chicago Task Remodeling. If you are looking for the best, your search is over. Jose immediately responded to my inquiry about the work I was seeking to have completed. He was very friendly, and it was a breeze to schedule my appointment for my estimate. Jose and George arrived promptly for our appointment. They took time to listen to my needs, carefully reviewed all of the areas in which the work was going to be completed and asked very thoughtful questions. It was apparent that they were very knowledgeable and had a wealth of experience. They made me feel at ease and evoked a feeling of confidence. I received an extremely detailed and fair quote shortly after our meeting which Jose explained to me. I was really impressed and decided to hire Chicago Task Remodeling to renovate my condo. Jose and his crew started working right on schedule. In the weeks before work began we were in constant communication to make sure all of the materials and supplies we needed were ordered. Jose was very responsive any time me or the designer had a question. Before work began Jose and his team prepared my condo by carefully covering all of my hardwood floors, cabinets, furniture etc. I was blown away by all the care they took to make sure my condo was properly protected. Once work began it was fun to watch how quickly progress was made. Jose provided me with regular updates and sent me pictures to show their progress. Things went very smoothly but every renovation has some hiccups however, Jose was always on top of things with a solution and my job was even completed ahead of schedule. The pride and craftsmanship that Jose and his team exhibit in everything they do is second to none. They gutted and installed a brand-new bathroom, sound proofed several common walls I share with the condo next door, installed a beautiful backsplash in my kitchen, installed canned lighting in my living and bedroom and under and over cabinet lighting in my kitchen, painted my entire condo from top to bottom, removed carpeting and installed luxury vinyl laminate flooring, and completed many other tasks- all with care and precision. I would absolutely hire Chicago Task Remodeling again, and have already recommended them to several of my friends and family members.
