Renovation Coach was exceptionally responsive to my inquiry. However, to fault of his, I had to postpone the project due to personal reasons.

Mike and his crew did an AMAZING job. Not at one point did I feel like he was being dishonest. He was transparent at every turn. He also was able to provide personal opinions on our requests as well as other jobs being done by other groups during our renovations. It is hard to find a contractor you can trust 100%. Not only do I HIGHLY recommend him, I will continue to call on him for future jobs. Next up: Master Bathroom renovation!

Working with Filip was a great experience! He and his team were super knowledgeable, friendly, and communicative throughout the project. We had many specialty hardware items and a smart toilet and the team installed them all seamlessly. We will definitely work with Filip again for future home renovations!

Carpenters finish Classic designs
Carpenters finish Classic designs
I hired Carpenters Finish to help complete my gut renovation after my first contractor failed to finish the work he promised.

Not only was I skeptical about hiring another contractor from Thumbtack, but I was also deeply discouraged about finishing my renovation at all. Jamada’s communication and professionalism put my fears at ease.

From day one, he really listened to my design ideas. Every detail I cared about—the feature fireplace wall, two-tone kitchen cabinets with brass mesh, and the lighting—was executed thoughtfully and with a “how do we make this even better?” attitude.

He was clear about timelines, change orders, and costs, and he never disappeared when things got complicated. When other vendors dropped the ball or caused delays, he helped problem-solve instead of pointing fingers. He also respected building rules and my HOA, which is huge in a high-rise.

I couldn’t be happier with the end result. The craftsmanship and finishes turned out even better than I imagined. You can tell he cares about quality and takes pride in his work.

If you’re looking for a contractor who can handle a complex renovation, collaborate on design details, and actually deliver what he promises, I highly recommend Jamada and Carpenters Finish.

Alumni Builders Inc

Being a first time home buyer is a scary experience- vein a first time home buyer doing a gut renovation is a whole different level! I wanted to make sure I hired the right contractor that understood my vision, was reliable, and had great communication. I met with so many different people but from the initial consultation I knew that Dan at Alumni builders would be able to make my dream a reality. He is very thorough and asked me questions that I did not think of when planning my renovation initially. The process from start to finish was wonderful. I cannot day enough great things about Dan and everyone he had working on my project. Beyond impressed with their communication and assistance any time an issue arose. If you are looking for a contractor look no further. Alumni builders is the best hands down.

Red Star Construction
Red Star Construction
I hired Red Star Construction to help with a small kitchen cabinet job on very short notice. He came promptly the next morning at 7am to help! he was also reasonable about negotiating the payment rate and providing a detailed quote about other tasks needed for my home renovation. The rates quoted are higher than expected, but the quality of work matches.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I’d recommend them to others!

We worked with Migdam and his team on renovating a 100-year old 2 flat in Chicago. They handled everything, so we didn’t have to deal with multiple professionals. Their prices are fair and more importantly, they take responsibility for their work. We had many details redone until we liked the outcome. Migdam made our satisfaction a priority. During the construction process, they never left the site messy or sloppy. I’m glad we found them and we’re happy with our new place.

BİN PRO FIX
BİN PRO FIX
I recently hired BINPROFIX for a complete renovation of my 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit, including the attic, and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. From start to finish, this was a major project involving demolition, new flooring, paint, custom cabinets, a brand-new bathroom, doors, installations, and more—essentially a total transformation.

The quality of workmanship is outstanding. Every detail was handled with precision and care, from the flawless paint job and beautiful flooring to the stunning new bathroom and cabinetry. The space feels entirely new, modern, and perfectly executed.

A huge shoutout to Bilal, who managed the project. His communication was exceptional throughout the entire process. He was consistently responsive, kept me informed at every stage, answered all my questions patiently, and ensured everything stayed on track. Having a single, reliable point of contact made a potentially stressful remodel smooth and predictable.

The team was professional, respectful of the property, and cleaned up diligently at the end of each day. The project was completed in a timely manner, especially considering the extensive scope of work.

If you are looking for a trustworthy, skilled, and communicative contractor for a large-scale renovation, I cannot recommend BINPROFIX enough. Thank you to Bilal and the entire team for turning my vision into a reality. I am 100% satisfied and would hire them again without hesitation.

Quality Home Repair Specialist LLC

Goran and his team did an exceptional job on my renovation project. I recently purchased a condo in an old building (100+ years old) and wanted a fresh look. Goran executed my plan beyond my expectations. He replaced all trim around doors/windows and baseboards which required custom wood work across the entire house due to uneven planes. He removed an old permanent wall unit surrounding my fireplace and repaired the walls. He painted the entire condo and went above and beyond to fix unexpected obstacles that arose throughout the job. I highly recommend Quality Home Repair Specialist for any job.

I have always found it difficult to find a good contractor. Recently this has become even more difficult due to the labor shortage COVID has caused. When I decided to renovate my condo I had extremely high standards that I set for the contractor I was going to hire. I was looking for someone who was extremely skilled at their craft, a good communicator who promptly responded to calls and text messages, and who was trustworthy. I was doubtful I would find someone who checked all of the boxes. However, I was blown away when I met with Jose and his brother George from Chicago Task Remodeling. If you are looking for the best, your search is over.

Jose immediately responded to my inquiry about the work I was seeking to have completed. He was very friendly, and it was a breeze to schedule my appointment for my estimate. Jose and George arrived promptly for our appointment. They took time to listen to my needs, carefully reviewed all of the areas in which the work was going to be completed and asked very thoughtful questions. It was apparent that they were very knowledgeable and had a wealth of experience. They made me feel at ease and evoked a feeling of confidence.

I received an extremely detailed and fair quote shortly after our meeting which Jose explained to me. I was really impressed and decided to hire Chicago Task Remodeling to renovate my condo.

Jose and his crew started working right on schedule. In the weeks before work began we were in constant communication to make sure all of the materials and supplies we needed were ordered. Jose was very responsive any time me or the designer had a question. Before work began Jose and his team prepared my condo by carefully covering all of my hardwood floors, cabinets, furniture etc. I was blown away by all the care they took to make sure my condo was properly protected. Once work began it was fun to watch how quickly progress was made. Jose provided me with regular updates and sent me pictures to show their progress. Things went very smoothly but every renovation has some hiccups however, Jose was always on top of things with a solution and my job was even completed ahead of schedule.

The pride and craftsmanship that Jose and his team exhibit in everything they do is second to none. They gutted and installed a brand-new bathroom, sound proofed several common walls I share with the condo next door, installed a beautiful backsplash in my kitchen, installed canned lighting in my living and bedroom and under and over cabinet lighting in my kitchen, painted my entire condo from top to bottom, removed carpeting and installed luxury vinyl laminate flooring, and completed many other tasks- all with care and precision.

I would absolutely hire Chicago Task Remodeling again, and have already recommended them to several of my friends and family members.
