I have been training with Chitown trainers for several months. I attend the yoga classes and utilize the personal training service. The trainers are extremely professional and competent. The training has been the best training experience I have had because they work at your level and gradually build your tolerance and strength. I have experienced change in my ability to run, lift weight and my balance. I highly recommend their services, they are simply excellent!
As I am a beginner, Tricia has been very patient. She takes time to explain what each exercise does, corrects me when I do it wrong and is a great cheerleader when I finish each session. I would recommend working with her.
Yoga with Masha is both energizing & calming. She provides a non judgmental yoga space. Her cues allow me to achieve better alignment & get the most out of every pose. Masha's thoughtful inspirational words add to my overall yoga experience.
I've been taking yoga classes with Tara for nearly 10 years. She's an excellent teacher who encourages proper alignment in the postures. I especially like that she's able to tailor classes and offer alternative poses to all students abilities.
Jessica is a wonderful personal trainer. I appreciate that she comes to my home and is flexible with my busy work schedule. She incorporates weight training, yoga, Pilates, and high and low intensity cardio. She pushes me appropriately and always seems to know just what I need!
Loukia is an OUTSTANDING yoga teacher! I really value her knowledge, dedication, and passion for yoga. She has taught me to truly embrace the present moment on and off the yoga mat. Loukia’s teaching style and professionalism are second to none. I highly recommend Erini Yoga!! 10/10
My experience with Lymphatic Drainage and Healing Touch performed by Dr. Sylvia Hood Washington I believe had a positive effect on reducing inflammation in my body. The few days after therapy I noticed less aches and pain in my muscles & joints. I hold a lot of stress related tension in my muscles, so it was great to have some relief. During the therapy Dr. Sylvia kept me informed with what she was doing and why she was doing it. I liked how she integrated different modalities along with the lymphatic draining. She incorporated some yoga stretching and breathing as well as healing touch techniques. On top of relieving some of my inflammatory muscle and joint pain, Dr.Sylvia found an inflamed lymph node under my arm. It was likely inflamed because I was feeling on the verge of a virus. She was able to drain the lymph node and we could no longer feel an inflamed lump under my arm. I believe this procedure helped me to beat the virus that never transpired. In addition to being a Certified Lymphatic Therapist, Dr. Sylvia has vast knowledge and expertise in the medical field as an Environmental Epidemiologist and Public Health Professional. She has the ability to treat a person holistically while helping them discover how their environment may be affecting their health issues. I would highly recommend Dr. Sylvia Hood Washington as a Nautropathic Doctor for Lymphatic Wellness.
I'm just a beginner doing yoga but I'm learning fast from Mila Rascon. She's done a great job teaching me and I look forward to more sessions.
We were hooked from the very 1st session. Trayci’s knowledge of yoga and individualized attention is top notch. She is a wonderful instructor with a great personality and we are so grateful to have found her.
I attended a Chakra Balancing Workshop last week. The workshop was very well planned out and ran smoothly. Valerie is very knowledgeable and answered all questions quickly and without hesitation. There were handouts and we were able to follow along and take notes. We analyzed Chakras, which was quite interesting, and made a note of each Chakra's activity. We then did a yoga practice for balancing Chakras. Valerie has a very calming way while leading the practice. The practice flowed smoothly. When the practice was over, we had a short meditation. Then we analyzed Chakra's again to see how they differed from the first time. I really enjoyed this workshop and plan on attending future workshops. I highly recommend Valerie for her workshops and yoga classes.
Training is incomparable as this Instructor has anatomy training through her years working with Chiropractors, and Master Yoga Instructors, and is "Hands On."
Over the years I’ve taken many yoga classes and have known many teachers, but it was not until I discovered a certified teacher of Iyengar yoga, the type Amy teaches, that I finally realized how beneficial yoga could be. Iyengar yoga is designed to help people with a wide range of abilities acquire the correct balance and positioning that enable the body to function at its best. For this reason, Iyengar yoga can be undertaken by women or men, children or older adults, and even people with disabilities, because an experienced teacher can tailor the person’s practice for any special needs or level of ability. My first Iyengar teacher moved away, and for a long time I feared I would never find anyone that good again. Then one day I read an article about Amy in the paper, and the long search was over. Like my first teacher, Amy has the ability to instantly spot whatever adjustment a student might need and can supply a wide range of aids to make a pose work for that person. She has a warm, welcoming personality, endless patience, and a good sense of humor. Our class can be challenging, but it’s always rewarding.
I love yogability, it's so much more than your average yoga class and I can see and feel myself getting better, which is so inspiring to keep going. Sometimes classes are really tough, but you feel amazing afterwards. I couldn't recommend it more!
Hadley was my first yoga instructor, and though I do go to other classes, she's still the most caring, attentive and personable teacher. She's great at helping me go beyond what I'm currently able to do and provides excellent encouragement and support.
I am a 200-hour certified hatha yoga instructor. I have done my training with a 9-month training program at Temple of Kriya.
We offer natural health solutions to everyday needs and chronic conditions. Our modalities include massage, acupuncture, nutritional advisory, yoga, herbal therapy, aromatherapy, doula care for prenatal and postpartum, prenatal massage, yoga, breastfeeding assistance and much more.
I believe that yoga should be for everyone. I enjoy bringing the benefits of yoga to people who think yoga is too difficult for them and might not otherwise give it a try.
I'd say I stand out from other yoga teachers because I am very welcoming! We laugh in class, we smile. I talk about the postures and what they are doing for you and your body. I focus on alignment, calm, concentration and strength. My class is a strong class. I do not teach hot yoga, I do not teach yoga with weights. Just good-old Yoga!
I can design programs to suit any goal. I have been training clients for over ten years, and I have been teaching Yoga for 7. I hold a Masters in applied exercise physiology and a B.S. in Kinesiology. My style is essential centered around techniques utilizing the body/mind connection.
I've been practicing yoga for over 8 years and am getting my yoga training licence in France this August. I love helping people reach their wellness goals and building community.
If you think that learning to touch your toes or even standing on your head is the whole of yoga, you have missed most of its bounty, most of its blessings, and most of its beauty. Yoga releases the creative potential of life. The light that yoga sheds on life is something special; it is transformative. It does not just change the way we see things; it transforms the person who sees. It brings knowledge and elevates it to wisdom. - Sri B.K.S. Iyengar I started my yoga practice at McGaw YMCA in Evanston, Illinois at the ripe age of 20. My first teacher was a sweet Dutch lady named Ine. If you want to know yoga before yoga was a brand, please go visit Ine at the YMCA. She's an absolute delight and yoga in its purest form. I am a registered hatha yoga instructor through the Temple of Kriya in Chicago. I graduated in 2006 and began teaching the day after. I currently lead group classes downtown Chicago and work with private clients building personalized yoga programs. Passionate about my personal practice as a student and teacher, I try to bring humor and lightness to my classes. A perfect class for me would have lots of child poses and a super long savasana. Of course, a few planks and boat poses would add a nice balance. In my yoga practice, I employ numerous styles of hatha and vinyasa flow. As well, I completed training with The Global Yoga Center prenatal yoga teacher program. I have trained with Baron Baptiste, Kathryn Budig, Seane Corn, Suddha Weixler and other esteemed yoga instructors. I am a 200hr registered yoga teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance.
