I took my daugther to Cynthia for voice lessons. Cynthia was knowledgable and very nice. She was also encouraging and easy to work with. I would have no problem recommending her.
We were very pleased with the voice lessons. You taught exactly what we were interested in, breathing properly, voice control, tone it down. I especially like the way you teach. You give good suggestions and also listen to what the student has to say. I think you relate very well to the young people. I give you five stars on everything. Look forward to continuing on.
Michael worked with me for a couple months. My progress was slow. Due to extenuating circumstances, I was not be able to continue lessons with him. He was very knowledgeable and professional.
Landon has provided a few voice lessons for my daughter thus far and we are thrilled to have him as her coach! I was in shock to learn that he already had experience working with cochlear implant users and wasn't afraid to take on my daughter as a student. He is very knowledgeable, bright, talented and loves interacting with kids. We're so happy we found Landon!!
I had voice and piano lessons with Erika. Throughout the voice lessons there was a bit of acting though. I really enjoyed her teachings and spending time around her. She made something that seemed very hard, very easy to me. She has introduced me to many musicals so auditioning and anything in the performance realm will familiar to me. Her techniques are so on point and her way of doing things is amazing. I have grown as a musician and I really owe it to her!
The Musik Institute is an amazing place! My son takes voice lessons there and has been nothing but excited and impressed. My son also started on the piano with Ms. Chi 8 years ago and was able to stick with it because of her patience and nurturing. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants their child to have a firm understanding and love for music.
Lisa worked with my daughter for about a year with voice lessons. She made remakable strides during this time. She progressed from singing in the shower to a young lady with wonderful pitch and tone. We thank Lisa for this progress!
Carolyn Calahan gave my daughter piano lessons for about 10 years. We came to her after a disappointing teacher before her. I told my daughter we could try several teachers before picking one, but once she met Mrs. Calahan, she said, "I want her." She did not disappoint. Not only was she a fantastic teacher, she's a wonderful person who we still have a relationship with today, 16 years later. My daughter developed a love for piano that also continues today. I would recommend Carolyn Calahan to anyone.
Amy Gatschenberger was my voice lessons teacher for two years in high school. Not only did she help me improve my voice enough to get into the top choir offered at my school, she also helped my gain confidence in not only my voice, but in myself as a human being. Amy was always positive with me, even when either of us were having bad days. It was pretty easy to get in touch with her if something came up and I couldn't make practice. She always understood that school came first. Amy has a very bright personality that makes learning from her not only educational, but fun as well. I couldn't recommend her more!
Dr. Burge has instructed my daughter in piano for several years. She is very knowledgeable in piano pedagogy, she challenges her students, and she creatively engages them through a variety of approaches and experiences.
Angela has been teaching our 8-year-old daughter both piano and voice for 9 months and we are thrilled with our experience! Our daughter is building an excellent technical foundation and having a terrific time!

My approach to Music Educating is to teach with great care, patience, individuality. We ALL learn differently and at various speeds. People of all ages have different strengths . The best teacher can unlock the door to the best results for the student. I enjoy tailoring a different course of teaching for each of my students.
I have been teaching piano and voice for 10 years. I hold MA in music therapy and BA in music performance and music education. I enjoy teaching students from all ages and lead them to accomplish their goals. I often set up students' recitals, and I also qualify in training students to pass exams from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) every year. I combine well-known techniques in teaching, including Orff, Suzuki, Kodaly and Dalcroze to make sure students acquire strong fundamental theories and skills.
I treat students as individuals who each have different gifts and challenges in learning and tailor the instruction to accommodate them. I explain the reasons for the tasks that I ask them to perform and guide them step by step to accomplish their goals.
