nothing to recommend but just to share my story. --- Fact evaluation: Progress tracked by Matt Johnson Trained by Marcin Grobelny (instagram- @grobelnym) Training Time - October 2016- June 2017 Training Intensity- three hour per week Aim- slim down, lose fat and lose weight. Life Outside Training (when I do not have session with trainer)- cardio (cardio), and 17 running races plus 1 bike event in 9 months (how I spent my lazy weekends). Life Outside Training (reality)- a Mon- Fri job that sit in front of the computer 9-6, sometimes weekday OT till late night, or might take my weekend too. Results- more toned up, people no longer say "it seems like you are a little bit less chubby" but "you look slimmer", ~5% fat ratio down. --- This week marks my last week with Chitown Trainer, it has been a very very great 9 month with Marcin that I did not only learn about workout move but also the psychological, health and nutrition, workout and recovery chapters that is totally a bonus to me. Marcin has been my very first friend in town and probably one that I meet most frequent out of all these time. I learnt about his education, and I believe his academic background and body building experience has made him a very unique trainer because he had been educating me in a all-rounded manner. As time goes, I started to learn more about my body and my mindset, as well as the key to stay consistent and balance through out my days. I eventually train harder and more frequent; and be more honest with myself about the diet and I have dropped my fat ratio through all the months. One thing that I did not expect to happen, is that I actually improved from 32min/5k to 27 min/5k in less than 4 months' time. I did not pick up any running training, I enjoy food fest in the new year, I had deep dish and (quite a lot of) cheat meal, but still, a 5 minute improvement in such a short distant run are actually all from the hard work from weight lifting with Marcin. I used to fear leg day as I started because lower body training back in middle school basketball time has bulk me up so much. However, now I start to love my leg days more -- and as a result I am getting a little big addictive with running as well, which I used to think it is super-very-extremely-so-boring. With the encouragement form Marcin, I actually run more than I thought I would. Counting back the weeks, I have nailed 18 city-events in 9 month's time. Given that Chicago is not my home city, this is definitely a life time PR. Meeting Marcin has definitely become a motion to get up early as we train at 0530 most of the time. As I am leaving Chicago, I would look forward to meet Marcin again with a more toned body to show off how I am able to apply things I learnt from him and all the hard work I put in even I am out of the country. --- Thank you Marcin!! :)

Let me begin by saying that I rarely worked out on a regular basis prior to meeting Shawn. I would eat pretty healthy but I was not at all motivated to exercise daily. So I would definitely describe myself as skinny but unfit. Fast forward to January of this year, when I got accepted to the military. I now realized I had 6 months or so to get myself into shape to pass a military fitness test. That’s when I met Shawn. I cannot even begin to describe what a life changing experience it was for me. I am a graduate student on a limited budget and Shawn worked with me to develop a plan that was affordable. As soon as I met him, I knew that Shawn knows what he is doing and is a treasure trove of fitness information. On day one, he was able to triage and figure out where exactly were my weak spots (for me it was upper body strength—I really needed to develop this in order to pass the push up requirement for the military fitness test). I treated my sessions with Shawn as another one of my classes, and showed up to every session. Shawn was a fantastic motivator and instructor and always varied my workouts to keep me on my toes. He gave excellent nutrition advice. Within a week, I could feel that I had more energy and over the course of my few months working with him, I knew I was getting stronger. Just trust this man! He knows what he is doing and saying! Plus, he’s really committed to keeping you safe during your workouts. I’ll be taking the military fitness test next week and I know that I’ll pass all thanks to Shawn!

AWESOMENESS. If I could give 10 stars I would. I've been trying to lose weight for more then a year, but I was not having any success. So I decided to get a personal trainer, and I'm so glad I did. Dan has been training me for the past 8 weeks and since we started working together, I've seen an incredible improvement in my strength, and my figure--this week I was able to fit back into my favorite pair of work pants that I haven't been able to fit in, in a year! When I first met with Dan I hadn't worked out in literally 2 years and was really nervous about all of it; however, Dan devoted an entire session to simply understanding me, the current state of my health, my habits, and helped me define where I wanted to be in my ideal future state. Dan then put together a customized program to ensure we could get there. As a woman, my one of my biggest concern was around "bulking up" from weight training as my body type lends itself to this if I'm not careful. I shared this with Dan and despite what I was sure would happen after the weight training, he's somehow made plan that made me smaller and noticeably toned up, and definitely not bulkier! In parallel, Dan has also really helped me with my poor eating habits--I'm a busy executive with little time to care or prepare food that is consistently healthy--and I sure do love Chicago cuisine. But every visit Dan would casually ask me what I planned to eat for the week and then give me directives on best options, grocery store lists, crackpot recipes, how to store my food, when to prepare it, and even where I can stop on the way home to get what I need for the next day :). . Dan has been a God send and reinvigorated my belief that I can take care of my health, actually meet my fitness goals, and truly enjoy it. I've absolutely loved, enjoyed, and seen results from every single session with Dan. I was doing high intensity interval training, which caused serious injuries to my knee and shoulder, so I wanted to get back into full body resistance training and cardio. After reading reviews, I chose Dan. It has been a wonderful ride ever since. He's very smart, thoughtful, and incredibly enthusiastic. He spends a great deal of time tracking your numbers so that there is genuine accountability as to the extent of your progress. After I saw the orthopedist about my shoulder and went to physical therapy, Dan took the recommended physical therapy exercises and integrated them directly into my workouts. Very creative; very cool. He's easy to communicate by text or email, and incredibly responsive. He's also very knowledgeable about the Chicago performing arts scene, which I enjoy discussing with him. Bottom line: I'm getting stronger; feeling more fit and confident; and not getting injured. Dan's been great.

Dan is terrific. I've only just begun working with him but already can tell that I'll benefit from his training. He focuses on functional training, understanding your body and your strengths and being conscious of health - from what you are eating, how much you are walking, etc. He keeps things moving during your session, provides you with a wealth of info, and ends each session with great stretching and a quick chair massage, which is awesome. Andrew got me through some nagging weight loss plateaus and walls when we first started, I had lost over 35 pounds on my own and I was getting frustrated at the constant walls. I signed up for a consultation with him after, and than I quickly signed up for a set of sessions. I'm reasonably sure I've been signed with him for over a year and a half now, and I am very pleased with the progress I get. I had a lot of difficulty even approaching the free-weight section of the gym before him due to insecurities and lack of knowledge of how best to use the weights - having a personal trainer to show me what to do in that area honestly opened a new world for me there. Since then, I feel ten times more comfortable in the gym and knowledgeable about how to use the machines and the free weights to my advantage. He's very personable and while he's obviously not doing this for free, I do feel like he cares enough about what he does to value me as person moreso than just a dollar sign. He asks questions about my diet and routine and how my progress is going, and just does seem to care that you're getting the results you want versus just locking you in a contract and counting the minutes 'till the next session. He keeps everything fresh each routine - we rarely do the same thing twice. Better yet, I find myself incorporating the things we do outside of sessions during my own gym time. He pushes me and I've been able to do things during our sessions (3 sets of 30 second push-ups in a super set for example) that I never thought I'd be able to do before. He knows that I want to be pushed and kicks my ass (although I'm certain that this cannot be the same mindset for his other clients - I've made it clear that I want to get stronger and progress and he has paid attention). If anything could've been better, it was that when I first signed up, he essentially had me at square one when I had made progress on my own pretty well. It was a bit frustrating to begin with, doing lighter things, but once he got a firm grasp on what I was capable of doing, he kept the progression natural and now has and is continuing to up the intensity of workouts. There were also a couple times early on when I felt he may have been making this up as he went along, but I chalk those up to still getting a feel for my strength and fitness level. I won't sign up with anyone else. If a cheaper alternative comes by, I won't sign up with them. He's affordable and knows my strength level and where I'm at, and I feel like anyone that's seriously committed to losing weight and getting fit could benefit from signing with him.

We have been training with Elijah - Physical Peak – for a little over a year now. My husband and I both have had great results. We love the ease and convince of having him train us in our home, without that we wouldn’t be making the life style changes we both have needed. He has helped coach us on nutrition changes also. About half way through our year we got pregnant and I have been able to continue working with him through my whole pregnancy, my doctor has said I am doing great and my health, blood test, blood pressure etc. has been right on track through my whole pregnancy. Mike has been an amazing trainer. I had a 4 level spinal fusion which left me in more pain than before surgery. I haven't had a life for 3 years since because of the pain. I found Mike who not only has a bazillion fitness certifications but also has a medical degree. Within the first couple months I lost over 10 pounds and reduced the amount of pain medication by half! And the weight loss is without cardio yet because we have to fix my back issues first (he won't sacrifice safety for results which was the one big thing I was looking for) I am amazed. My quality of life has increased significantly and continues to every week. I literally had no hope but Mike really listened to my issues and put together a plan that works. He gave me an assesment with goals and where he believes he can get me with weight loss and pain management and how long it will take. He truly cares about his clients and stresses the fact that he just wants to help. He makes you feel comfortable. No intimidation like with some trainers. He is honestly saving my life. I've tried absolutely everything from physical therapy to chiropractors to a medical device inserted into my spine. His simplistic approach and high motivation is all I ever needed. I only wish I would've found him before I had surgery so I could have avoided the 3 years of my life spent in my house in excruciating pain. But, I've got him now and I look forward to the continued progress I am confident I will have with him as my trainer. I'm finally excited about something and have hope and it's all due to Mike Rundell. I highly recommend him and wish you all great success.

Meeting Mike Rundell was the best thing that ever happened to me! He has changed my life in so many ways. He trained me for the better part of three years and in that time he focused on strength training and on nutrition...as many of you may know not a lot of trainers take the time because you are just $$$ but Dr. Mike sincerely cares that you achieve your goal. I started out a plump young lady with close to 30 percent body fat and by the time we were done I was lean and mean at near 18 percent body fat. As a previous athlete in my high school years but pretty much left out physical activity the past 4 years, I first reached out to MORathletic in hopes of losing the weight I gained in college. I've worked with a fair amount of trainers over the years. My Bootcamp Coach is at the top of my list. He tailors every workout to my goals, pushes me in a positive, productive way, and is an excellent $ value. On top of that, he's true professional...sadly you don't find enough in this line of work. Punctuality and professionalism are prerequisites to me working with anyone in one-on-one settings and he truly exceeds my expectations. Destination Fitness is the best! This is by far the best money I have ever spent! I wasted so much money on health clubs that I never went to. I tried tapes and classes at various clubs and park districts. I never stuck to any plan until I tried Destination Fitness and Jill's team. Jill was so caring and listened to my story. She helped put together a plan and introduced me to her trainer Marty and her Registered Dietitian Melissa. For the first time everything clicked! They did not make me feel like I had to drop and give them 20 push ups. They created fun exercises for me to follow that I actually enjoyed! Melissa the RD was amazing. She listened to me as well and helped me create a menu plan that I could follow on my busy schedule. I met Jenny about 7-8 months ago when she joined the HIIT training gym I had recently joined. Jenny has amazing knowledge about everything when it comes to working out & nutrition. I was VERY intimidated trying HIIT training but Jenny makes you feel comfortable while also pushing you to jump the next hurdle in your fitness journey. And she listens!! Sometimes I push myself too much all week & I at walk into my last class of the week and ask to just concentrate on my trouble areas and we DO!! I have been running for the last 2 years for stress relief and when I finished my Ph.D I decided to look for a personal trainer to teach me new workouts. I met with Tim, and told him that I can't afford a lot of sessions and he did not make it any less difficult. In 5 30 min sessions with Tim I learned a ton of new, fun, and very difficult work outs! He made sure to ask me each time where I was sore, and adjusted my work out accordingly. He made sure I learned proper form for each new technique so that I would not hurt myself. Best of all he answered all my questions no matter how small and always made me feel comfortable to learn something new, even when I looked funny doing it. I have also seen major results in just a few sessions because he works you to your limit! Best decision I could make before moving away. If you want to begin a healthy life style he is a great place to start!

I was reccomended to Sergio about a year and a half ago and I have been training with him ever since. I used to go to the gym on my own and I would only use the treadmill because as a girl I was always too intimidated to try any form of weightlifting, but with Sergio's guidance in strength training and eating healthy has allowed me to see better results than I ever did just doing cardio and now I feel so much more confident in myself.
