Introduction: Every couple I have married was overjoyed at the genuine care I put into making the ceremony all about them. I ask questions and truly listen to the couple to incorporate personal touches to include in the ceremony that make it a true representation of who they are. I make the ceremony very meaningful but also enjoy humor to create a sense of fun as well as romance in each wedding. I also think I do a great job of keeping the groom as well as the bride, if needed, feeling as calm and reassured that the ceremony will run smoothly. I will assist in the entire flow of the ceremony if needed. I am flexible and helpful beyond just officiating. The wedding day! That moment the ceremony begins is the height of all the excitement created by dreams and planning. Then when each couple finally sees each other, looks right into each other's eyes, and is standing right in front of me ready, but usually nervous, to begin the wedding ceremony. It's a priceless and awesome moment, only to be surpassed by the kiss at the end!

My wedding day was absolutely perfect. The sun was shinning, I had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and to top it off...I had an outstanding wedding officiant, Dawn Fry, that played a big role in me calling the day absolutely perfect. I am thrilled I chose Dawn Fry as my wedding officiant. When I was searching for the "perfect" officiant, I was looking for someone who exuded confidence and professionalism, and someone who was just genuinely personable. Dawn Fry was just that and definitely delivered those qualities during my ceremony! I liked how she was able to personalize my ceremony because of an easy-to-answer questionnaire my husband and I did (individually) before the wedding. Many friends and family members even came up to me to compliment Dawn on how she got us (as a couple) just right and how the ceremony didn't feel like "the same, old thing"...it felt personable! She even incorporated how my husband and I met and made her words flow perfectly into why we were standing before her then. I HIGHLY recommend Dawn Fry!

I want to begin this review by saying that those who are the best at their jobs are those that are recommended by previous clients usually friends and family. I will always recommend Dawn's services to anyone who wants to have the "perfect" wedding! You were on top of everything from the very beginning (I forgot the rings) to end. You kept us in the loop leading up to our big day. You made sure we knew exactly what to expect and explained every step with patience. You remained poised and professional while calming my nerves. You made our wedding the beautiful experience we both had imagined it would be for weeks! Thank you for everything! Dawn was absolutely amazing as the officiant for our October 17th wedding in Chicago, IL. Process: The process of meeting and working with Dawn was easy and straightforward. She met with us for half an hour to discuss what we wanted out of a ceremony and to see if our approaches [what we knew of what we wanted anyway] would be a good fit, and it seemed like a good fit, so we had her send us a contract. We sent her back the signed contract and a very reasonable deposit. Later, we filled out an email survey she sent us in order to fill in the narrative of the ceremony about our relationship and our love for each other that she would write up. A few weeks ahead of the wedding, she sent us a partial write-up of the wedding ceremony script, with some spaces for the special parts of the narrative that would be revealed on the wedding day. We send along a few minor revisions, but the overall script made me cry [happily]. Then we spent the next few weeks perfecting our own vows. She had given us some suggestions about how to make them special but also organized similarly and a similar amount of time each [3-5 min]. Results: Dawn did such a personalized ceremony that fit my husband and I that everyone asked us how long we had been friends with her at the end. We and our friend and family laughed, we cried, and we loved every moment of it. We wanted a completely secular ceremony focused on love, friendship, progressive values, and sillyness - and that's exactly what we got - and more. It really was special to hear her tell our narratives based on the quizzes we had filled out in such a fluid and relatable way. I couldn't imagine the ceremony going any better than it did.

It is exremely difficult to put into words what Dawn Fry means to us. When you hire someone for any service, you expect a professional who does a good job. However, the effort and commitment that Dawn gave us for our special day is something that is hard to put into words and above and beyond our expectations! There is no thank you card out there that can express our thanks and appreication for what she did. If you hire Dawn, expect her to not just be a part of your day...expect her to be a part of your life. Forever. She is one of a kind!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't have a complicated pricing system, I charge $200-400 depending on the location of the ceremony and an additional $50 if I need to attend a rehearsal ceremony.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Setting up either a phone call or a casual meeting location convenient to the couple. During this first interaction I will get basic details about their wedding date, time, location and what they hope to achieve in terms of the ceremony feeling. Do they want it simple, fun, light-hearted, serious..the options are theirs and should be a reflection of their individual personalities as well as representative of who they are as a couple. Its all about communication.
