Meeting and working with Susan was above and beyond what we could have hoped for! She came to our house in Lake Zurich and was here for about 2 hours she really knows her job well and taught us things about our dog that we never would have figured out ourselves. She has a great personality and was really easy to communicate with. Our dog Reptar also responded to her on a positive note. It took about 15 minutes for her to get Reptar to trust and listen to her and by the end of the visit he was really comfortable around her and listened to all of her commands. We can't wait to have her work with Reptar again and in fact she is coming back in 2 days to work one on one with Reptar and our son. Her prices are really reasonable but no matter what she charges, she is definitely worth it! You can tell she loves what she does and goes the extra step to make sure you know why she is doing what she is doing and how we can continue to make progress with Reptar until her next visit. We think she has resolved the reason for Reptar's aggression and now we have work with him to make it better and we truly believe with Susan's help and knowledge, we will achieve our goal. We don't believe there was anything she could of done to improve our visit. She knew what to do the minute she walked in our door and by the end of the visit, we felt progress was already made and can't wait for her to come back and continue working with Reptar. We would most definitely recommend Susan to anyone who really wants excellent training for their dog. She knows her job, she is really good at what she does but most of all, she loves doing it and that makes the results even more rewarding. We feel that we have already created a bond with her and can't wait for the final results with Reptar to be achieved.
She is very professional and our pups listened and got a long with her very well. She gave us valuable insight and generally cares about our pups. She also is always looking for ways to improve her training.
I'm convinced we have the best dog walker ever! She is so sweet and so great with our dog. Our dog (who judges people) immediately warmed to her. Even when we have had to work late or something came up she was there to check on him as a favor to us. Words cannot express how much we appreciate and are thankfully to have found her, we owe much to her!
Here is a little history, we adopted a tree walker coonhound from a shelter in Tennessee and brought him home to Wisconsin. The first month was ok as we all got adjusted to each other. There were counter surfing, mouthing and dominance issues from the beginning. We knew we had a stubborn ALPHA, ALPHA male but we were working through it. The dog and I had an altercation over a rawhide where he became very aggressive and tried to bite me. From that day forward he would try to attack me unsolicited any time he saw me or heard my voice. It got so bad I would have to lock myself in a room so my wife could let him out. I am 6',1" tall and 220 lbs, this is the first time in my life with all the dogs I've owned that I was afraid of a dog. We talked to many behaviorist's whom all said we should just rehome the dog and had no answers for us. I was determined not to give up and make things work because I knew that this was a good dog deep down inside. That is when I was recommend to Shelly at "Hair of the dog that bit ya". I got a great feeling from her right away on the phone and was intrigued by her explanation of how she handles her training of dogs (it was a much different approach from what I was hearing from everyone else). This is a large breed hunting dog who is aggressive and she knew exactly how to handle it. She came out the very next morning to a situation where everyone in the house was uneasy and afraid of this dog who now was in total control of the situation. Long story short after two hours Shelly had broken the dog had him taking commands from both my wife and myself. We felt like we had our lives back and believe it or not the dog seemed happier that he now knew the pecking order. This was truly a Christmas miracle for my entire family. The picture attached is from the same day where that morning my dog wanted to kill me and what he was like by the afternoon! I cannot thank Shelly enough and I am so excited for our new life together with Bohannon. Todd & Shelly Bloom
As a first time dog owner I have learned that the process to a well behaved dog is the training of both the dog AND the owners. Our rescue one year old Birder Collie/Australian Shepard mix was pretty well behaved indoors and in our yard but had a very aggressive issue when meeting new digs and people. He could not be trusted to not bite either. After one session with Lynn and homework he was 100% better. After the second session I have little fear of having a problem. Buddy still needs some work however the change has been dramatic. Lynn comes to your home with written plans and homework assignments. Hire Lynn, you will not be disappointed. Jeff Wadsworth
My 3 dogs look and smell great after getting groomed here. One of my dogs is part Schnauzer and we always get him a schnauzer cut, which isn't easy to do, I've been told. She did outstanding. I also have a yorkie who was dealing with an injury and she was able to work with him. After a bad experience at PetCo and having visited multiple dog grooming facilities, I am beyond pleased and satisfied with my experience at Deja Vu's K-9 Corner. I will be going back to get my dogs groomed here.
Lindy did a fantastic job with our puppy! She taught us techniques on how to better handle the dog and had our pup showing confidence and positive behaviors during the 1st session!
Jeanie Murray: Well, seven years ago Tom McMurchie worked with me and my 1-year old Labradoodle, Rush, in Phoenix AZ. I don't have adequate words to explain how wonderful the experience was. Tom was knowledgeable, professional, patient, humane, and just darn perfect. He trained me as well to make Rush an awesome, well-mannered family member. Then, Tom moved to Chicago. Rush is 8 years old (still perfect), but Tom has always been available for me to talk to him on the phone with dog-training advice. Then we brought a second Labradoodle into our home at 8 weeks old, Reagan. Do I ever wish Tom was still here to work with me and Reagan, who is a work in progress (almost 3 years old now). Actually, Tom did advise from afar when I had questions about Reagan. If you are looking for that perfect person to work with you and your dog, don't look any further than Tom McMurchie. Thanks, Tom!
Michelle was great with my dog. I called her last minute to take care of him while we went on vacation. We were gone for a week, and she took care of everything. She came to my house and fed him and walked him. She even sent me pictures so I wouldn't miss him so much. I would highly recommend her.
Joe has helped me with several foster dogs. He has helped me learn positive techniques that work very well. I highly recommend him!
In the first year of his life, my Great Dane had worked his way through two dog trainers and five dog walkers. The latest trainer- a certified animal behaviorist, had recommended we put out 9 month old puppy on prozac. My husband and I were against the idea, but decided to have the conversation with our vet. He absolutely refused and then recommended we talk to Kyra. Fast forward two years. Thanks to Kyra (and Comfy K9s) we watched our misunderstood, misbehaved puppy grow into a respectful, loving, well behaved family member. When it comes to training, except to work. Kyra takes her role very seriously. She wont let you fail your dog. The number one thing that separates her from any other trainer, behaviorist, dog walker- I've worked with is her passion. She wants to help and she'll get it done any way it takes. She reads. She studies. She asks questions. The training is customized to your dogs individual needs. And, she truly cares about you and your dog. When everyone gave up on our dog, she was there. Shes reliable. I know I can call her anytime and Comfy K9s will take care of us. (They're actually on my emergency contact list!) Kyra is trustworthy. Shes genuine. She will make your dog shine.

I walk dogs of all shapes and sizes. I am also willing to care for other pets. I have my own 15-year old dog that I still walk with.
I'll make sure your dog is properly taken care of like it was my own. I need at least a business day to respond.
My personality and vibe stand out because any dog I have met are very loving with me and that's because I can communicate with them in calm manner. That makes it easier to play with the dog and show it affection.
I love dogs and love to go on long walks with them. Please consider me to help your busy family and provide desired care for your pet.
I am a dog sitter and dog walker. I have loved watching dogs for a long time. I have 1 of my own. I have trained it very well. It used to be scared of walking outside, and now, loves it. My goal is to make your dogs happy, take them on walks, and watch them when you need someone to watch them. I have always been a dog lover and always will.
I stand out because I really injoy watching animals and some people do it for the money and I do it for both.
I walk dogs. I will feed them and play with them. I am very upbeat, and I love any animal. I also love walking.
I enjoy tutoring kids, looking after dogs, or doing housekeeping. Please give me a chance to prove my work in your home.
