We brought out puppy Belle for the puppy program. She learned some manners for living along side us in the house. They worked on her jumping- housebreaking and other puppy issues. Belle did the two week puppy quick start program. We highly recommend them for dog training! Thanks!
Gayle has helped us to make amazing progress with our family dog, Grover. Grover is now housebroken - which at one point in time we were certain would never happen! Gayle helped teach us simple techniques, and when consistently applied, the results were incredible. She has also helped us with mouthing issues (him biting or mouthing your hand), jumping issues, and confidence issues he had as a result of being a shelter dog. Thanks to Gayle, our dog Grover is still a happy member of our family. We were tearing our hair out before.....now I know that if I have any other issues, we can contact her and she can quickly put us on the right track again. Thanks so much for your dedication and passion to the dog training industry Gayle!
She always gives wonderful feedback on my puppies, including pictures! I was very impressed by the amount of dog training experience she has. I am so glad to have found a reliable and trustworthy dog walker!
Ed trained our dog Sayre and did a fantastic job. Sayre is well behaved and very gentle. She can even do a high five. We're very impressed!

January 23, 2012 Our family was recently invited to go on a family vacation with all of the relatives...there was only one BIG problem keeping us from accepting the invitation. The problem was what to do with the newest member of our family, Toby. He was a golden retriever puppy and only 14 weeks old at the time of the scheduled vacation. Our usual boarding kennel could not accept him without his shots and vaccinations being completed. Luckily, we had learned of Smart Dogs. I called Kristy and she agreed to accept Toby to board and train while we were gone for six days and nights. Of course, I was a little tentative to leave my baby! We were so PLEASED and IMPRESSED with the results of Toby's training when we returned from our trip. He had learned to walk, sit, stay, and obey in a very short time. Ian and Kristy also gave him exercise on the treadmill. When Ian returned two weeks later for a follow-up visit, we could see how much Toby liked him and respected him. We have learned so much from Smart Dog training. I am not sure if they trained the dog or us, but probably both! I would highly recommend Smart Dogs training to anyone with puppies or dogs. They are wonderful and truly care for the dogs beyond boarding. Jayne
Judy and Marcus were great with my dog Bella. You can tell they really care about dogs. My dog Bella listens a lot better now. The training she received was very good. She also needed to lose weight and lost a couple pounds while training. I know now how to train her the way they showed me. I would recommend Dog Training now they really do a great job training your dog.
More than obedience training, we offer real-life training services. We believe that dog training should be fun and relevant for you and your dog.
Owner/Trainer, Kevin Stangler, of Mannered Mutts Dog Training has such a wonderfully infectious passion for sharing his craft of communicating with dogs. His explanations and demonstrations are very clear and professional. Kevin is ready to answer any and all questions throughout the process. I've never felt rushed or that I was doing something incorrectly during a lesson. Kevin always has a positive approach toward guiding me and my 4 mo. old German Shepherd puppy. Many of the "puppy issues" I had concern about (jumping on people, stealing items from other dogs' mouths, heeling, recall, and bolting to play with other dogs) have been addressed during lessons with Kevin. The results after three lessons are fantastic. Puppy obedience progress now includes recall off leash, stays off people, won't try to bolt and play across the street, doesn't steal from other dogs (puppy is understanding boundaries), and heeling is improving with daily exercises. Kevin's goal to help me and my pup work and play as one unit has strengthened our human/canine bond. Kevin always helps us feel comfortable and confident in our learning and success toward dog obedience, safety and companionship. Because I live a 3 hr drive away, Kevin even does video sessions with me. Thanks, Mannered Mutts! -Rob E.

Testimonial "Tammy is awesome! Her approach as a dog trainer is to get the whole family involved in the process. Tammy basically trained us to train the dog, including walking, obedience, feeding, and establishing a reward system. Our dog had issues and Tammy solved them, one by one. I offer my home for dog boarding and training (sometimes called "doggy boot camp") at 2-3 week sessions. Your dog will live in my home, with me 24-7 the entire stay. He will be in a very structured, very routine environment, and I will work with him multiple times daily, 7 days a week. Board and train cover all basic obedience, the staple of all behavior issues. Having your dog in my home also provides me the opportunity to work on any home issues you may be having, rather than your dog staying in a kennel environment. Example: dashing out the door, counter-surfing, chewing the furniture, marking, etc... I also do one-on-one in your home sessions, where we work individually throughout a 6-week course which covers basic obedience, along with any individual issues you may be having in the home. I am available for individual in-home sessions as well. Have your pet experience a vacation boarding in my home. Don't send your pet to a kennel! They can stay with us in a home as part of our pack! Dogs - $25 per day Cat/Bird/Small Animal - $15 per day
I went to the National K-9 School for dog trainers and graduated first in my class in May 2013 with my professional dog trainer certification. I am certified in basic and advanced obedience, behavior modification, utility, puppy development, tracking, scent detection, personal protection, police K-9, retrieval and assistance dog training. I will travel to you, and we will discuss what you hope to accomplish through training. I want to help you create the dog you've always envisioned, and we will work together to make that happen. I have been training for all breeds and ages! The types of training include basic and advanced obedience, puppy socialization, behavior modification and advanced specialty training.
A ''dogosophical'' attitude is one of calm and composure amidst the presence of behavioral issues, troubles or annoyances. Is your dog training you? Let me help you: - Get your dog to pay attention - Come when called - Walk easily on a leash - Stop jumping, stealing food, and non-stop barking Thinking about getting a dog? I can guide you though how to: - Find the right breed, breeder, dog or rescue for your family! - Introduce a new dog into your home - Build a relationship with your new dog to ensure a "dogosophical" life with your new "best friend". As an ABC-certified dog trainer and ADPT member, I use positive reinforcement training based on the knowledge and principles of how your dog thinks. Private and group obedience training classes, family and breed consulting, behavior consulting, and modification training are offered (rates vary based on services needed).
I have always been fascinated by dogs and how they help people. Growing up in India, where there are many street dogs, I often treated them like my own pets. I have always had a strong connection with dogs, and I wanted to help them. I founded BarkRight in 2011 because I wanted to focus on teaching people how to communicate and train their dogs, instead of looking for quick results by using tools like e-collars or choke chains. I believe dog training is about communication, not domination. My goal is to help as many dogs, and owners, as possible to live a happy and balanced life. I am a member of Association of Professional Dog Trainers, and recently, I have partnered with local store Wags on Willow to offer my basic obedience training classes. Please visit their website for more information. -Krunal Patel
