Meeting Carla and her Husband was a pleasure, and they were as enthusiastic about my jacket quilt project as i was. Their ideas were right on track with my own. We had a good conversation about the details of the project from start to finish, I was very impressed with their ability to make me almost see the finished quilt as they looked through the jackets I brought and talk over where each could be used. Carla's price was also very reasonable. I will update my post with a picture of the quilt when it is finished. I can't wait to see it!
My experience with Linda was absolutely wonderful. She made a beautiful memory quilt from 4 pairs of my dad's old jeans. My dad passed away 7 years ago. He died in his sleep without any warning. He was only 71 years old and was in good health. After enjoying retirement for a short period of time he was suddenly "gone". Even though I am an adult with 4 grown children of my own, I was still "daddy's little girl". Somehow I stumbled upon Thumbtack. I had never heard of the site before. I researched the website the best I could. I entered the information requested by Thumbtack and explained my situation. I was very hesitant to deal with a total stranger that was almost 1,000 miles away. The jeans had a monetary value of "zero", but they meant the world to me. Linda walked me through the quilt making process. We communicated by text. She explained how the project would go.. step by step. I never felt as if I were left in the dark. She kept me informed of her progress by sending updates with pictures. It's not possible for me to express how happy I am with the quilt she made. Linda is a very talented and detailed person. It's almost like she is a mind reader. I only supplied the denim. I sent her a text message explaining the colors of other fabrics I wanted to incorporate into the quilt. She chose exactly what I had hoped for. I couldn't be happier and I will cherish this quilt forever. I am thankful that I went with my instincts and pushed aside the thought of dealing with a stranger. It's not only a beautiful piece of work but it is usable as well. In the planning process I told Linda that I wanted to use this quilt as well as display it. So, I wanted to be able to wash and dry it. I hope she is able to post photos for everyone to see her beautiful work. I am also thankful for Thumbtack. Without them this would not have been possible. Kim Head Alabama

Emily worked closely with me to create the perfect wedding quilt. She was so responsive! We probably had 100 emails back and forth. I could tell she cared about making the quilt just the way I wanted! The end result was better than I expected! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!
I am beyond thrilled with how the quilt turned out! Jacquelyn was very knowledgeable regarding the fabric that would be needed and I appreciated her meeting me at the store to pick everything out. She sent me regular updates, including photos, of her work which was great. The best part was the extra details she included like embroidering his name and making a bag to store the quilt in. I can't wait to give this gift. I would definitely use Jacquelyn for future projects.
Lori has made two quilts for me. The first one is in our home. I loved it so much I asked her to make one for my mom's birthday. My dad died last year, so Lori made a quilt for Mom that incorporated his ties. Mom loves it, and asks friends to visit so they may to see it. Mom first reaction was to say that it was gorgeous; that it looked liked t should be in a museum. (Mom is a cosmopolitan New yorker who knows museums well.) I agree with Mom, Lori's quilts are exquisite. There is no way to write how beautiful the quilts are, and how delightful it is working with Lori, too.
