Arbor Tutors could accommodate the tutoring needs we had plus tutoring for the SAT/ACT. Also, their online model provides flexibility for my daughters complicated schedule.

I was so impressed with Kevin and couldn't be happier that he reached out on thumb tack. I was in search of a tutor to help me pass the Elementary Education Math Content Test (very similar to the ACT math). Not only was Kevin able to teach in student friendly terms, he was SO knowledgeable of the types of questions and concepts I would need to know. Kevin was always very punctual and approachable when ever I did not understand something. We were able to meet before tutoring began to create a plan that we would follow together. By the last session, we covered every topic in the amount of time I hoped for. If you're in need of any math tutoring, I would HIGHLY recommend Kevin. Hands down the absolute best tutor I have ever been in contact with!!

Souradip is a tutor, par excellence! We're grateful to Thumbtack for bringing him into our lives. He's responsive to our children's needs. He's great at explaining and uses various techniques to make sure that they understand the material. Souradip's infinitely patient and never makes them feel less than or embarrassed to ask questions. The children look forward to working with him (now that's a litmus test for a tutor who's doing something right!). They would rather work with him than see a movie! We sought tutoring because our children were struggling and in a matter of a couple of months they're "A" students. That's a testimonial to the caliber of tutor that he is!

Our son has been working with Carol for over 6 months preparing for the ACT test and also receiving subject-area tutoring in geometry, English/Reading and Earth Science. Carol is very professional, extremely smart, wonderful to work with and has demonstrated her ability to work effectively with secondary students at all skill levels, including those with special needs and current IEPs. Carol has helped our son prepare for the ACT in all subjects and provided detailed strategies, not only for test preparation, but for each element of the exam. She uses teaching, demonstration, practice and testing as an intertwined process that has really benefitted our son. Last semester, he earned a 4.0 for the first time and made the National Honor Society. Carol also is wonderful with homework, projects, and writing assignments. Her background in education is AMAZING. She not only has multiple degrees and certifications, but has an extremely high IQ, and has extensive knowledge of both high school and college curricula. We highly recommend Carol, and urge others to utilize her expertise, experience and her wonderful personality with kids for all your family's tutoring and testing needs. We hired Michael to tutor our son, a freshman, in honors math. Our son was very comfortable with Michael's teaching style and responded very well to the tutoring. Michael is very approachable and provided our son with very pragmatic advice and tools to assist him in overcoming his struggles and adjustment to high school math. I highly recommend Michael, particularly for high school level students.

The best part of Ramonas tutoring was the possibility to write her a message any time of the day (or night ...) if i had trouble with my homework. I really recommend her!

LAW Methods is a MUST-DO!!! The Elite program was a short three months with flexible scheduling. The quality of instruction is unbelievable. It was not a classroom with thirty other people, where the instructor just feeds techniques and guidelines. I received one-on-one tutoring with a top-notch instructor. He made sure to work with me to make me a LSAT-taking machine. We went through all the previous LSAT until I could reach top marks. By exam time, I breezed through it and expected a high score. No doubt at all. AND I got it! LAW Methods is the way to go.

She explains each concept in a simple language that was easy for him to digest. She is very flexible with her scheduling and charges the most reasonable rate. My son did not want to go to tutoring, but a friend's son had found Learning Ascent helpful, so I dragged him in because he earned 37% on his math test. He earned 85% on the next test after a few weeks of tutoring, then 100% on a test. Now he has the hunger for success. My other son goes to them now too.

Jasmine was extremely helpful - significantly better than any professional tutoring service I attended. Not only does she know the material but she can explain it in a way that makes sense and she gave me examples and outside work to further my understanding. I was getting a D in my class and with her help I passed with a 93% on my final exam. I would definitely recommend her as a tutor and I wish I would have found her sooner!
