Have been working with Michael as my personal trainer to lose weight. The results show I have lost 50 pounds since I started training with him 6 months ago. He has been great formulating a workout program with me and having fun, challenging, and different exercises and circuits. He has always encouraged me and has been great for accountability and advice. Also very affordable and would recommend to anyone looking to get into shape and achieve your goals.

Outstanding gym and high quality personal trainers!!! Not only is Barkes Fitness a Top Notch gym, but Ben and Amanda and their staff are excellent personal trainers. Ben responded to my request within minutes even though it was after 8 pm. He got me in next day for a consultation. During the consultation, he did a great job of explaining the responsibilities of a personal trainer and the responsibilities of myself. After listening to my goals, he laid out a few plans from which I could choose. Ben is honest and very straight forward as to what it takes, in his opinion from 30 years experience, to reach the goals I was looking for. Once we got started, Ben has followed through on all his responsibilities and pushes me to meet mine. The atmosphere of the gym is that of dedication, hard work, individuality, and they definitely create a gym family environment. They have pushed me to stay committed and in only a month, I am beginning to see results. I look forward to continuing my training and enjoy seeing the gym grow. I would highly recommend Barkes Fitness as a gym and as personal trainers!

Never experienced anything like this before in a fitness Family. They care about you physically, mentally emotionally. I never feel judged about my abilities. The trainers work with you individually to get results. I have back issues and they worked my program to strengthen my back w/o feeling any discomfort while training. I have not had to use any pain meds in over 5 month because of the training from ARC. They are truly there for you any time you need them. Uplifting group of trainers. Not only do the trainers cheer on your success , but the other ARC clients cheer you on, lift you up if your down and make you feel cared about! 10 👍!!!!!!

Working with Rich has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life. He started off as my personal trainer back in 2011 and I've stuck with him ever since! When he contacted me to see if I'd be interested in his BCC class, I HAD to join. Rich not only guides and coaches you to your goals, but he also CARES! not many trainers do.. He knows when to push you, gives advice on things to do at home like certain stretches if you're sore, he knows nutrition, and he knows how to have FUN during class. If anyone is interested in becomming a client of Rich, I recommend him with such great appreciation. He won't let you down. You'll see a better you. Trust me! Hope to see some new faces pretty soon!!

About 15 yrs ago I was diagnosed as insulin resistant. With an extensive familial history of diabetes this was not good news. My Dr.suggested talking to a personal trainer, specifically Trainer Bob. Great decision! With directed exercise and focused dietary changes I have continued to enjoy excellent health at 80 yrs young. I work out three times a week, one with Trainer Bob. He keeps me focused and accountable. Additionally his people skills are outstanding. Good for me!! TB is prompt and amenable to schedule changes. His attention to detail and record keeping have been especially helpful.

Danny and I have been working together for the past four months! He is flexible when I need to change my schedule, adjusts my workouts for any injury (NOT related to my training with him - but a running injury), provides we with things I can do at home, and is always pushing and encouraging! He is willing to laugh with me as I try to get this 60 year old body to find it's natural strength, increase my flexibility. and tone up!

Over the past twenty years I've worked with a lot of different trainers. Unfortunately, I hit an injury bug a few years back. I was dealing with a lot of pain in everyday life and working out was no longer fun. Where as my trainers in the past just had me work through the pain, Ryan identified the problem and fixed it. Ryan educated me and completely changed my mindset on fitness. He made me realize that exercising smart is more important then killing myself in the gym. He also proved to me that consistency is the key and hard work is bound to pay off. Ryan's professionalism and punctuality is superb and his empowering attitude is truly contagious. His understanding of the body is far superior to anyone I've worked with in the past.I just turned fifty last year and am stronger then I was twenty years ago and most importantly pain free!

I've known Steve for 6 years now. As a trainer and as a friend Steve has been a quality influence on my life as a person. He is constantly trying to better me in many different facets of life as he works to help me achieve my goals. If he feels you are wanting to go somewhere and have drive, he will invest himself fully into helping you to get there. There are 100s of gyms, and 1000s of trainers, but only one person that I would recommend to go see if you are wanting to change your life. I put him at the top of people I would recommend in the areas of health and wellness.

There's a unique beauty when it comes to the Workhorse Gym. When you walk into most gyms, the environment seems off, or even stale. All the stations can seem overwhelming and quite frankly to complicated to use at times. However at Workhorse, the environment and atmosphere is anything but stale. You can feel the intensity leangering around, but yet not intermediating in any sense. Everyone there is warm and supportive, and the number one rule is to respect everyone that walks through those doors. Ron has somthing incredible here, something that most gyms have lost. He himself is a remarkable trainer. He has never turned me down when I ask for help, and he's always offered me the knowledge that he's acquired over time. I have noticed tremendous results ever since I've started lifting at Workhorse. My body feels the best it has in my 20 years of life, and my strength has practically exploded. People from all walks of life would benefit from coming to this gym. Are you a powerlifter? He has all the weights you need. Body builder? Don't sweat it, all the equipment is there. Even if you're just someone who wants to feel better about themselves, Ron will see to it that you're given all the tools and knowledge needed to obtain your goals, just as long as you're willing to work for it!

Greg is an excellent crossfit trainer! Makes you work hard and helps you keep going when you think you can't! Gives excellent motivation I lost over 40 lbs working with Greg. Flabby arm fat was gone and I actually had muscles I never knew I had! Gave tips on how to eat healthy to keep your energy up and your weight down! The only time I ever actually looked forward to working out was going to Greg's class. No matter how big or small you are he pushes everyone the same to their limits! Wish I was closer to join his class again!

    I am looking for an in home fitness trainer. If you do no longer offer this service, could you recommend one? My basic history: in the last year, I have lost over 30 pounds. This occurred after 2 years spent caring for my 98 year old mother as she battled and eventually lost her battle with cancer. I also had to help my son get through high school and become employed. When i cared for my mother, There was no predictable free time to commit to diet or exercise until but after her death, funeral, and getting back to a normal routine, I almost immediately began a very structured and balanced diet, including accountability, weighing myself regularly and keeping lists of everything I ate. This has lasted over a year with regular progress. No more snoring, no more foot pain, normal cholesterol, etc. Now I would like to add the fitness component. I would like to walk regularly and add strength and aerobic consitioning as well as get suggestions from a trainer. In home training ( as well as walks or other activities nearby if you suggest that) would be ideal. Unfortunately, I can't run even though I used to be a steady runner because one foot was severely damaged after a drunk driver hit me- 20 years ago. I tried to run occasionally but it hasn't worked. Perhaps I could work up to that?
