Most of our teachers have music degrees and are working musicians as well. We are also one of the larger retail sheet music stores in the area, offering digital retailing to give customers the music they want on the spot. For our students, the digital retailer provides the current music they want to play while studying other pieces.

Latest Review: Sally has been a great piano teacher for our 9-year-old daughter. She has kept things interesting and encouraged her to keep taking lessons. We also appreciate the piano recitals Sally organizes. They are personable and a perfect size. Sally is also flexible with setting lesson times and works with us when there are scheduling conflicts.

Latest Review: I started out with the voice class. I was not a singer at all! Ms. Hill takes students from wherever they are, and works with them. She is so very encouraging. Learning about music in voice class inspired me to take piano lessons, which was something I thought I'd never do! But again she takes you from where you are. I am an adult learner, venturing completely out of my comfort zone. I am also a retired teacher. Ms. Hill demonstrates all of the best qualities of an educator. She quickly evaluates the needs of her students and individualizes lessons to suit their needs. She does so with both children and adults.

Latest Review: I got SO much more than I asked for connecting with Altered Stage. Not only does my membership get me access to unlimited guitar lessons with an awesome teacher, it also includes a great space with all the equipment needed, a welcoming community of likeminded and friendly recreational musicians, and the chance to play on-stage with my fellow members once/month. I went from being the guy who could play chords and learn simple songs through tabs to someone who understands music theory and feels comfortable jamming with strangers at the drop of a hat. A huge change from where I started and not at all what I expected. AS gives members the chance to get involved as little or as much as one wants. I could not recommend them more to musicians at any level.

About: I have been teaching for several years and have experience working with a variety of students from a 5 year old beginner to students going to College for music. I also have taught students of varying ages, from the young child to an older first time piano player. Having such a wide range of students has given me the ability to approach the piano from multiple perspectives making my teaching and understanding of the instrument that much better.
