Introduction: Katie McDermitt has nearly a decade of experience in teaching and coaching private flute students. Her experience ranges through all ages and ability levels, from young children to adults and from beginners to more advanced players. She specializes in providing individualized lessons that are designed to meet the particular needs of each student, and through that, it helps them to achieve their goals as a flute player. Her students have successfully competed at ISSMA solo and ensemble contest with high marks. Outside of teaching, Katie is also actively involved in the musical community in Indianapolis, frequently appearing with many local-performing ensembles, as well as freelance contracting. Katie graduated from Butler University in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in music performance.
