Having already gone through 2 bad experiences with other painters, I was looking for someone to come in to my home and do a respectable job. Coverall Paints was just what I needed. They quoted my project along with finishing one area left incomplete by a previous painter. During their work on the project I requested an addition area. Cody provided me with a reasonable price and we agreed on the work. I was very pleased with the outcome. Upon completion of the project I requested a quote for additional areas. Their work and prices are great. As such, they have been awarded additional buisiness in my home. I will not hesitate to utilize Coverall Paints in the future.

Tim Rockwell, the owner of Rockwell Remodeling, is very professional and very knowledgeable in his field. I had several different kinds of jobs for Tim to fix and he worked on each project with the same care and expertise whether the job was large or small. I would recommend Tim's skills to anyone who needs not only a painter or a person to lay flooring, but a person who has the experience "to fit" up a house, doing it on time, and with skill. 😊

They were attentive and great with communication with us! The project took a little longer than anticipated because there weren't enough painters but that was communicated to us throughout the process and there was a lot of wall to paint. I will say there were a few spots missed but on the whole our walls looked so much better than before and Myron made sure to ask us if we wanted second or third coats on before doing it. Our final price was exactly what we expected and we appreciated that!

Justin was extremely thorough and did an excellent job. He even provided advice on how to properly do paint samples in order to see the full effect, while still being able to cover them up. He also was able to complete our job (painting one bedroom) in a single day, which was helpful to our schedule. His prices are unbeatable and his work ethic and personality exceed all other painters we've used.

Mr. Coates is very professional, his attention to detail is incredible, my house needed to be painted for the longest time, no one wanted the job due to the walls being "too tall", Jason took up the job and he was amazing and extremely careful. He is a true professional painter.. I will definately contact him again!! I truly recommend him!!

Had our kitchen completely repainted and our painter, Justin, is very detailed in his work. Was very quick in retrieving the samples and once we picked out our color, he finished our kitchen in a mannerly time. He knows what he's doing when it comes to projects like these. I never thought there were so many things you had to look for or be precise about when it comes to painting until he discussed the condition of our kitchen beforehand. Great Work! Definitely Recommend!

Greg Cody has been working for my company for over 3 years. He has helped me with everything from commercial work to residential jobs. He can do anything you ask him to do and can tackle any project with a friendly, professional attitude. I will be working with Greg for a long time to come.

I have over 25 years experience, I take my work seriously and conduct myself and my business in a professional manner. I expect the same quality work from my employees that I expect from myself. If you read over the other questions, you'll see that quality is number one with me and I've worked on many Homeramas in Lake Forest, showcase houses, where there is no room for error and everything has to be perfect. As a foreman on these jobs, all the responsibility rested on me. I bring the same work ethic to any job I accept whether it is a small job requiring minor repair or a large job that requires a major facelift.

I provide residential painting at affordable service prices. I do interior and exterior repainting. I have been painting for 12 years, and I specialize in detailed, cut lines.

I do all phases of painting and wallpapering. I have been in the business for 30 years and never had a unhappy client. If you want the best, then call on us. Thank you for looking at a Perfect Match.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    How much do painters cost?

The national average cost for an interior painter ranges between $450 and $900. Interior painters can tackle everything from complete color makeovers in each of your rooms to touching up an accent wall to painting pieces of furniture. The square footage and complexity of the project, along with the materials needed, are the main factors that will affect cost. Other factors include whether you supply the paint yourself or want the painter to do so, whether you move the furniture and do the prep work or ask them to do it, and whether any repair work is needed on the walls. Painting the ceiling and the trim will also have an effect on cost. The type of paint you choose can also raise or lower your house painting cost. A gallon of paint may range from $20 to over $100, depending on quality and brand. Ask your painter if they charge per hour or per square foot, and how much you can save by doing prep work (moving furniture, etc.) yourself.

How much does it cost to paint the interior of a house?

Interior house painting costs are calculated on a few key factors. Nationally, interior house painting projects range from $200 to $2,500. The wide price range indicates how much square footage, paint selection and labor can affect cost. One pro uses a laser to measure each room, subtracting the size of the doors and windows, and then bases the quote on the square footage of the actual surfaces to be painted. Painters may provide you with savings if you opt to paint your entire home rather than just having one room or an accent wall painted. For example, the average house painting cost for an 8x12 room with 8-foot ceilings is roughly $200, when contractor-grade paint is used. Painting ceilings, baseboards and frames can also affect cost. Pros may charge per linear foot to smooth and paint baseboards. In one area pros might charge 50 cents per linear foot to paint baseboards, while pros in another part of the country could charge $1.50 per linear foot for the same task. Painters may charge flat rates for painting door and window frames, with one charging $20-$25 and another $60 per door. Geography and regional costs to do business play a major role in the cost of interior painting. The same painter in a rural region has less to pay in taxes, transportation, insurance and overhead than they would in a major city like New York.

How much does a painter charge per room?

The cost to paint a room will vary based on the size of the room, the type of paint you select, any ceiling or trim work needed, and any repairs needed. If no repairs or other additional work is needed, painting a room with contractor-grade paint could range from $1 to $2 per square foot, including materials. Selecting a luxury paint (some cost more than $100 per gallon) will certainly increase your house painting costs. Here are some additional examples of average house painting costs, per room:

    • 12x12 room with a 9-foot ceiling: about $125
    • 12x12 room with an 8-foot ceiling: about $100
    • 14x16 master bedroom with a 9-foot ceiling: about $150
    • 14x16 master bedroom with an 8-foot ceiling: about $125
    • 16x16 living room with a 9-foot ceiling: about $175
    • 16x16 living room with a 20-foot ceiling: starting at $225
