Our frig. went out over a month ago it stopped cooling and the coil in the freezer was freezing up another company tried to repair but was not able to. I contacted Top Appliances Repair they sent our Francisco within 2 hrs of initial contact. Diagnosed the problem returned the next day to install the part. However it was another major part. He confirmed that they had that part at their warehouse return later that evening to install it. Our frig was back in service in 24hrs from the initial service call. Pros: - Professionalism - Good etiquette (technician wore a mask and shoe covers) - Our technician persisted until he found the solution Cons: - Our technician was inexperienced - Office communication could be more timely/better My 18- month-old Frigidaire microwave (above the stove) went kaput on Christmas Day. My fiance, who’s an extremely handy person, changed out a fuse but it still didn’t have power (ie. no light/power to the interface). I found and chose American Appliance over other small appliance repair companies due to the number of reviews and high ratings. The technician came on Wednesday, 12/30, and advised that if the fuse was not the issue, then it may be 2 other parts which he didn’t have in his inventory. So, he ordered the parts and said he’d call me to return on either Tuesday (1/5) or Wednesday (1/6), depending on when the part would arrive. We paid the $60 service call fee (which would be rolled into the final cost of repair) before he left. On Tuesday at 3p, I hadn’t heard anything so I reached out via Thumbtack to ask if the part had come in. I was advised that they would check and get back with me. An hour or so later, I was notified that the part was in and the technician could return on Wed between 12-4p which I agreed to. On Wednesday at 3:55p when no one had shown up, I again reached out to ask if someone was indeed coming. The response I received was the technician would arrive when he was done with his current appointment. At about 6:20p, the technician called to say he was about 30 minutes away and if I still wanted him to come. I agreed to let him come because I didn’t want to have to reschedule. The same technician who serviced the microwave the previous week arrived at 6:40p. He had both replacement parts but in order to test which part needed replacement, he would have to remove the microwave from its above the stove mount! I don’t know how he would have done it by himself (nor were we going to make him do it by himself!), so my fiancé (who originally installed the microwave with a helper) helped him remove it, in addition to preparing a tarped space on the floor for him to work on the microwave. After he replaced both parts, the microwave still did not have power. The tech called someone from his company who then continued to help him troubleshoot. Eventually, the tech learned that there are actually 3 fuses in this model microwave. After replacing the other 2 fuses, the microwave worked! The tech then put back the other 2 original parts which he had thought may be the problem. My fiancé helped him remount the microwave, and the total cost for repairs was $206. It was about 8:30p before he packed his equipment and was out the door.

Keith misdiagnosed my Samsung washing machine (constant pausing, error 3E, takes 24 hours of unpausing to complete a cycle) as a faulty water level sensor, which cost me $275 and did not fix the problem. And that’s only half the story. When I notified him that the washer continued to have the same problems, he came back and determined that the PCB needed to be replaced. He did not charge me labor for the second visit, but I paid for the PCB part in the amount of $186.96. When he returned, he had purchased the incorrect PCB. So at that point, I had to wait for an RMA to be processed to return the incorrect PCB and get the correct one. Two weeks later the RMA was still processing. Then, the Houston freeze happened and I was preoccupied with other issues. So I did not follow up with him for about a month. When I did follow up with him and pester him about my total of $461.96 invested in repairing a washer that has not been repaired, after initially ignoring me, he finally said that my correct part had arrived and that he had not contacted me because he had not heard from me for a while. I’m that was the last time I heard from him. I asked when he was available to install the correct PCB, and was ignored. Finally, I texted him that I needed a refund of $186.96 for the PCB part I never received and he never installed. I told him that technically I should also be refunded the $275 that did not fix my washer in the beginning, but that I was not going to pursue that if he refunded the $186.96. At this point I am forced to buy an entirely new washing machine due to the mountain of dirty clothes that my dysfunctional appliance cannot keep up with. Never heard from him. Never got refunded. Today I followed up only to be notified that he had blocked me. So I am leaving a SCATHING REVIEW for Keith Wilson, who has completely swindled me out of a total of $461.96 to NOT EVEN FIX my washer. $275 to misdiagnose and replace a functioning part, and then $186.96 for a PCB part that he incorrectly ordered... followed by taking my money, disappearing, and blocking me.
