I participated in a boot camp throughout the summer with Stacey and loved it. I may not have been a fan of the early mornings, but I never regretted a workout. Though some days were hard, all the workouts were fun, I learned new exercises and felt great. Stacey not only was a great instructor and kept the camps interesting but she also provide us with some great feedback on diet, etc. I definitely will be participating in other camps/classes!
I've been training with Angie for over a year now and I love her enthusiasm she has for her clients! The excitement and drive she has to meet my goals is just the nudge I need to challenge myself and go the extra mile. Angie pushes hard but appropriately so which helped me to achieve more than I could have imagined…like completing two Spartan races within a 1 month span of time! She is knowledgeable with all aspects of fitness and health and does her research to cater her training to meet my needs and goals. Some of my goals were to tone, strengthen my core and incorporate full body exercises to my fitness regimen and I'm very pleased with my results. She keeps me on my toes and changes up the exercises each session. Sessions never get boring and I learn new ways to exercise on my own between sessions. I can’t wait for the boot camp classes to start! Also, now that the weather is warming up the flexibility to take the training outside is a nice added change of scenery than the gym. I took a boot camp class from Silvia and several personal training sessions. Every workout was different and challenging. Silvia is motivating and focuses on training as well as diet. I just wish she could make all of my meals - she is also an amazing cook!
Before going to Soupar as a personal trainer I had tried gyms, workout videos, and morning boot camps. All of them ended up being incredibly boring, and when it's boring it's not effective. Soupar know how to keep the workouts interesting and effective. He took the time to talk to me and figure out my goals, then crafted a carefully planned routine. And the plan is not rigid, but is tailored to address any issues that may occur during the time between visits. I credit him with helping get my weight down, my cholesterol in control, and helping get off the medication that the doctor put me on. Outside of sessions Soupar keeps track of all of his clients regarding exercise and diet. Overall he is a consummate professional who takes the goals seriously, while keeping the journey fun.
Our son plays soccer at a fairly competitive level -- State and Region ODP, clinics and camps with U.S Youth Soccer besides the regular training and games with his travel team. The demands of a busy and physically challenging schedule had started taking a toll on his body. That's when, in the fall of 2013, we took the help of Jose. Our son has shown a complete transformation in his physical performance since then -- his game has become faster and stronger and he has remained remarkably injury free. His stability and stamina also have shown a marked improvement. Jose's knowledge of the changing physiology of a teenager is absolutely amazing and impressive. Our son, in fact, regards him as a wizard because Jose is able to get to the root of any niggling issue in quick time and with precision. But what is even more impressive is the charming and engaging manner with which Jose is able to interact with our son, ultimately encouraging him to perform the toughest of routines with a sense of joy and fulfillment -- never letting it become a chore. I've worked with Chaz and CK Fit for almost 2 years. I first met him after joining a brand new gym and started taking boot camp. I had recently lost weight and had just started working when I was introduced to Chaz. He came highly respected and recommended. His boot camp was highly energetic, fun and informative. I'm not one to write reviews, but because I'm passionate about working out, fitness and nutrition, I feel I should let others out there know what a great place Activate is for all of the above. I have been a member since it's inception and truly believe that it is different than any other facility or big box gym I've ever been a member of. At Activate you are not just another number or member but a person with individual needs. You are heard and encouraged to succeed whether it be from the staff (who are phenomenal by the way) or from other members who are also there to succeed. As a person who has struggled with my weight from my teens into adulthood, it has always been super-depressing to go from fitness center to fitness center and not achieve success. Close friends I trust who trains with David recommended him to me. I became a client after an initial conversation and trial session. I like that he comes from a health and nutrition background in addition to physical fitness. He continues to deliver smart, achievable results that are personalized to my performance goals and flexible to my schedule. I didn't want a militant boot camp instructor that had his own agenda. With David, I feel he is able to identify the bit it takes to push me over my next hurdle yet enough to still be motivating and accountable to my fitness strategy and pace. Most importantly, not only does he love to train others and lives it, he's also one of the good guys. I would recommend him to someone who's looking for a solid trainer and actually enjoys the session spent with him.
My two little ones and I are taking a Mommy and Me Boot camp class with Valerie at the Community Center in Laurel. From day one, she welcomed us all (even a wailing baby!) and showed me ways to incorporate both my two year old and five month old into my workout so that it was actually doable and fun. Each workout has been different and tailored to the needs of the group. (She checks in with us frequently and makes modifications if a task is too easy, too hard, or a child in the group needs mommy!). I appreciate Valerie's friendly encouragement- I feel supported and actually enjoy our sessions. (How often can you say that about a workout?!) I only wish more people knew about her classes!
Prime Fitness is a fantastic place to work out! I love the small group atmosphere and the workouts are intense! The trainers are all very helpful and taking boot camp sessions are a great way to mix up my usual gym workout routines. Plus, I love the results I am seeing in myself from the workouts and help I am getting from the trainers. Everyone should check it out!
It is so hard to keep me motivated to go to the gym on a weekly basis but having Danny on my calendar helps me to stay focus during the week as I get ready to attend our small group training sessions. Danny is epitome of professionalism. He is is very knowledge about fitness, nutrition and proper technique and is very punctual. I can still remember my first group training session with Danny, and it was around Thanksgiving and boy, my body was so sore for about 3 days after out session that I refused to indulge in the festivities because it hurt to breath or get up to make a plate but I didnt want to gain 1 ounce of fat from eating poorly. Danny is awesome, I wish I could attend more than 1 or 2 classes per week him. His classes are like a boot camp and the results are visible quickly even from attending as little as once a week for about 7 weeks. Just follow his instructions and watch your caloric intake. I recommend Daniel highly for your personal training needs. Good luck on your journey.
Chris Bower is a great trainer. He knows his stuff and know how to motivate people to reach their potential and then surpass it. Have you ever done a deck of cards workout? Most exhausting fun you could ever have. Chris is an all around great guy to boot!
