Let me start by saying that as an event planner, I would like to refer Chef Kev as my "caterer of choice" to all of my clients. Chef Kevin's catering company is FABULOUS! He is not only has a wonderful personality - but it is clear that he loves what he does and is passionate about preparing quality and healthy food. His food and customer care are outstanding. He was able to accommodate our law firm open house of 70 with no problem. He planned a creative and exquisite menu, arrived early before the event, came well prepared and set up a beautiful table. The guests were blown away by his food - which was DELICIOUS! Several guests requested his business card, and there were actually no leftovers... (Teriyaki Meatballs and Mesquite Chicken Wings were to die for!).
Working with EA was amazing... from start to finish. Their responsiveness, their professionalism and their vision--had me from day one. From the time of first contact, Shavonna calmed me and reassured me that EA could turn my vision into a reality. We hired EA for event design--and they did just that! Every picture I sent and every idea I conveyed was implemented to the fullest extent. EA received kudos from my venue and my wedding planner for their efficient manner for getting the job done, as well as the exquisite design details. When my new hubby and I were introduced, as we walked into the ballroom, I literally cried. As a bride, planning for months, you can never imagine just HOW it will all pull together--your vision, your ideas, your dreams--that makes you so very nervous. As we walked through the crowd to start our first dance, I remember thinking "it is literally dead-on...they nailed my vision dead-on..." I remember telling Shavonna prior that I couldn't imagine how all of my ideas would pull together--couldn't envision it... her response was "leave it to her--that was EA's job, that's why I hired them...so I could remove that concern off my plate" Once again...dead-on.... From the lanterns, to the Eiffel tower feather centerpieces, to the gorgeous linens to the spectacular feather bouquets/boutonnieres/corsages....I am forever grateful.... Many people tell you to prepare for something not to go right, or for something not to be perfect on your wedding day. However, I can honestly say, hiring EA will prove everyone wrong...your day will be amazing--far beyond what you ever dreamt possible--they will meet AND exceed your expectations! I was planning to host a dinner meeting at my home for about 25 people. Though I had a general idea of how this would work, I began feeling overwhelmed with the logistics to ensure that all the attendees left feeling connected to each other and appreciated by me. I really wanted it to be special and that's just what Salam of CraftyMomDC delivered! With just 72 hours notice, she visited my home, listened carefully to my objectives, and coordinated an event that my guests are still talking about! I was so impressed with her attention to detail both in prepping the logistics and in her service to the guests on the day of the event. I was able to host (and enjoy!) an event that exceeded my expectations, especially given my limited budget! CraftyMomDC should be held an exemplar for Thumbtack's tag line, "consider it done!"
We hired a balloon twister pirate/face painting for our school dance. I thought the face painting would have been the normal little ones you see but paula did a fabulous job and full faces. The balloon twister did a great job and the kids loved his pirate attire. They were prompt to get there and as I was all over the place coordinating, they cleaned up and left leaving a very happy customer. Definately recommend
Angela did a fantastic job, we were lucky to work with her! We hired her to help with the cleanup at our reception. We decorated the event so we asked her to pack up and deliver all of the table cloths, vases, candle holders, left-over plates and utensils, and other miscellaneous decorations. She attended a meeting with our reception venue two weeks before our wedding and even though out reception venue was very unorganized she was patient and helpful. She packed up all of our decorations and delivered them to our apartment as promised. I would highly recommend her. As a bonus she left us a gift basket, it was nice to have the snacks when we returned home from our honeymoon.
