If you want delicious food at an affordable price, you want Chef Kev! Im am surly the pickiest eater there is, but Chef Kev got the best of me! We hired Chef Kev to provide the food for a networking event that we hosted. As an event planning company, we have had the chance to taste food from many different caterers throughout the Maryland, DC and VA area, but Chef Kev is among the best! His food made all the difference for our event and we cannot wait to begin referring our clients too him! (I should also mention how professional, and neat he was. He left the venue looking better than when he got there!)
After I decided to plan a 70th birthday party for my father, I knew I wanted something different other than just a few guests at home. After speaking with the owner of ALD, April, about what I was looking for and what my budget was, she immediately started helping me brainstorm options for locations and vendors to take care of everything from cupcake orders to banners. She even went to visit the restaurant, see the room, and speak to the restaurant event planner before I could make it over to the location. April is super organized and has timelines and deadlines for each step in planning the event and she always returned my calls and emails in a timely manner. When the day of the event arrived she had all of the materials as discussed and decorated the dining room with a beautiful black and gold theme. She provided everything from chair covers and table linens to balloons. Everything went as planned and she stayed around to make sure everything was on track. I'm so glad that I worked with ALD! They created a memorable and unforgettable event.
My husband and I hired Floyds DJ Services for our May 13, 2017, ceremony in Woodbridge, Va. Finding a DJ had proven to be my toughest task during the wedding planning phase. . . that is, until Kacey responded to my request for information. She's pleasant, easy to work with and was always responsive. The constant threat of rain for our outdoor ceremony has us wavering on whether we'd be outdoors or move the ceremony inside. Kacey remind flexible as we didn't make the final call until just hours before the ceremony was to start. We were lucky enough to have BOTH Kacey and her husband, DJ Unknown, for our ceremony and reception. He is a GREAT hype man, and together, they read the crowd and played the right mix of old-school jams (as I requested) and current Top 40 Hits (including a ton of songs from my personal playlist suggestion). DJ Kacey even got on the dance floor to lead the crowd into a line dance and help get the party started. Their sound system was super crisp and there wasn't a single glitch! We had selected a final song to be played, and when it came time, DJ Kacey and DJ Unknown surprised us with a PHENOMENAL send off by having our guests line up in a receiving line to end the day. In a word, it was pure magic! Floyds DJ Services is a true example of exceptional quality that doesn't break the bank. I'd recommend them 10 times over! -Kevin G.
As a wedding planner Lynn was simply amazing. She faced a big challenged: our wedding had many different aspects as sort time, language and culture. She was always helpful, professional, gave us solutions for the unexpected situations. Took care about our orientation and desires. On the big day, she controlled everything and we could enjoy a lot! And salve the cake! She really made the difference in our wedding since the planning until the after party.
I was looking for someone to deliver balloons to a baby shower I am planning later this month. Annia was very responsive with quotes and within a. couple of days all arrangements were made at a very fair price. Will post again after the event but wanted to say that Annia is very professional and organized. Impressive!
I hired Coast to Coast Event Staff to help me with a 40th birthday party for 40 guests. Dee answered the call when there was less than 7 days to the event. I originally asked for a bartender and an event helper to assist on the party day...I planned to do the rest on my own! Dee offered some helpful suggestions and worked with me to stay on budget. By the end her team created a stunning 3 tier cake and cake pops that matched my photo perfectly (with a 2 day deadline) - ordered/pick up/delivered food from my favorite restaurant - provided all party supplies - balloons - candy display - set up and cleaned up! That part might be easy but it was the customer service and level of communication that earns 5 stars. Dee took the worry right out of my hands. Anthony and Christie were professional and a fun addition to the party. I felt like a princess without breaking the bank and each and every guest left with a smile. Happy to be a referral as they earned my future business.
Shawanna planned my baby shower, and my son's 1st and 2nd birthday parties. All 3 events turned out beyond expectations. Each theme was carefully thought out and perfectly executed. Shawanna has a very intricate eye for detail, so you can expect everything to be creatively crafted, from the invitations down to the favors. The favors are definitely always one of a kind. My favorite is the balloon arches. Hard to believe they are handmade; they look like something out of a catalog. I would definitely recommend Exclusive Bashes for anyone who is planning an event. It will surely be one to remember.
Detailed Diva helped me to plan my wedding this summer and I literally could not have managed without them! I worked with Nesikah as she helped to find my venue, helped with decorating the venue, found me spa services the day of, set up beauty services, and helped to make my rehearsal dinner extra special! Angie of Honey Do Planners is the BEST Planner!! I needed help planning my girlfriend's baby shower. I took on the task to plan the shower myself for her because unfortunately all her close family and friends reside out of town. I had no clue what I had gotten myself into. So I decided to make it a full baby shower party with 65 guests. I did a search on Thumbtack and I hired Honey Do. Angie is very professional, understanding and kind. In a nut shell she's awesome! She helped me every step of the way answered all my questions, made herself available when needed, and gave me many options to make the event special. Honey Do knows the ins and outs of planning events. With a beautiful local office and vendors on her team, she created and crafted the event to be awesome. It was better than what I had believed I could have of done on my own. Every detail was talked about and discussed and we developed a great working friendship. I would recommend Honey Do to any and everyone who is looking for a planner. Her cost were fair and reasonable. I had so much fun and I'm very pleased it all came together. I wasn't disappointed nor were the guest or the Guest of Honor. She absolutely loved it!!! Planning for a West Point graduation is like planning a destination wedding for royalty. The weeklong pomp and ceremony of the cadets graduation and commissioning as an army officer on a highly secure and secluded army base requires months of planning. Some plan a year out. Booking hotels, helping guests navigate the campus, getting on and off base and through security check points, transportation to West Point and then around campus and town, planning for meals, seating at events, securing a spot for the commissioning ceremony, is not for the faint at heart or for amateurs. I hired a professional wedding and party planner. She booked lodging and reception hall, secured transportation service to and from post, arranged for breakfast food and snacks during commute to post, meals to be delivered to post for commissioning ceremony and food for our private reception back at the hotel. She had maps and program booklets with details of the events of the day and activities during free time. She thought of it all and executed it without a hitch. Meanwhile, I was able to enjoy the festivities of my son’s graduation and commissioning and enjoy the company of my guests. It was a memorable occasion. Having Michele and Laura work our annual Holiday Open House was a real game changer in how I will entertain from now on! I am a veteran party giver and love to entertain, but I need good, hands-on professional, responsible help during the event so I can relax and enjoy the party. With "We Plan- You Party" I was able to do the cooking and much of the planning for our Annual Holiday Party, then turn the aprons over to Michele and Laura with complete confidence. Since I enjoy the cooking and planning but hate the clean-up, they were perfect. Michele and Laura came in and very efficiently set up the food and bar areas, greeted guests, kept the place picked up, dishes and glasses washed, and replenished food and beverages during the event. As things wound down and after, they put leftovers away, packaging them for the freezer and fridge, cleaned everything up, party glassware was clean and boxed up for storage, plates and platters washed, dried and stacked for storage,they put table linens in my laundry room, even blew out the candles...all while I put my feet up and had a nightcap and plate of food with Hubby and the last few hangers-on. When they left the kitchen was cleaner than they found it. And , all the while, they were personable,relaxed, professional and sweet! Aaaaahhhh. Perfect party! We never had a wedding ceremony and reception when we eloped 10 years ago. Now that we had the funds, and our 10-year anniversary was coming up, we thought it would be a good time to finally have the wedding we never had. I am so glad we hired a wedding planner. We knew we wouldn't have time to research the vendors, nor know which vendor to choose, and we wanted everything to go smoothly on the day of the wedding. Tynise of Pure Elegance Events did all the work we knew we didn't have time to do and presented various vendors for our wedding for us to choose. She stayed in constant contact with us throughout the preparations, and followed up on our questions and comments via emails. We told her exactly what we wanted, and she made sure to make it happen. Even though we started the planning a few months later than normal, Tynise made everything work while staying within budget. On the day of, Tynise brought two assistants to help out the bridal party while she was running logistics with the hotel coordinator. Even the DJ commented on how she was on top of things. When everything was over, she and her assistants helped the hotel staff clean up everything that evening, both in the ballroom and ceremony room, so there was no need for us to wake up early the next day and clean up. Nothing went wrong on wedding day. Absolutely nothing. Everything was set up perfectly, and we were able to view the reception set up before the ceremony began. We also tried to help out by giving Tynise a printed layout of how we wanted things set up, a full list of the ceremony and reception items, the wedding party's names and contact information, and specific requests as early in the planning as possible. Tynise and her assistants, Amanda and Katie, were the best. Hiring Pure Elegance Events was the best decision we made.
Where to begin? At first I was extremely against hiring a day of coordinator as I was convinced I did not need one. I was EXTREMELY wrong! I could now not imagine my wedding without Trina and her team. Trina is extremely organized, easy to communicate with, and thought of details that I would’ve have overlooked but ended up being so important the day of. Trina offered advice, helped me to make decisions, and used her wealth of knowledge to help me visualize that I wanted my wedding to look like. There was not a question that Trina did not know the answer to. Trina and her team were fantastic. Before the wedding she triple checked everything with me and my husband, called and confirmed with all of my vendors, and communicated with other important members of our bridal party about their role. During our rehearsal she clearly communicated expectations for the day of with all of my very large bridal party and helped everyone feel comfortable with their role in the wedding. Everyone was complimenting her and her team’s efforts throughout the night. She and her team were always one step ahead of any potential problems or disasters, intercepted any issues so that I did have to deal with them, and paid close attention to detail. The best part of working with Trina was that I was able to have a worry free evening with my guests and was able to enjoy my wedding. I knew that Trina had everything handled. One of the many reasons why my husband and I decided to hire Trina over other vendors that we interviewed was because of her professionalism, knowledge, and experience. Trina and her team worked tirelessly throughout the day to ensure that everything went according to plan. She and her team were constantly present during the night to ensure that we were calm and comfortable, communicate with other vendors, guests, and me to ensure that our day went as planned. She set up the reception space beautifully and wrangled my guests (and groomsmen) to where they were expected to be throughout the day so that we could stick to our proposed timeline. Trina was there to reassure me, hide me and my bridesmaids away from the groomsmen and groom, ensure that our ceremony music and order ran smoothly, and even made sure that the train on my dress was picture perfect before I walked down the aisle. At the end of the night Trina and her team had everything packed away and stored for us to easily transport home. My husband and I were dreading the clean-up process by Trina already had it handled. I cannot communicate how thankful I am that I decided to work with such a wonderful day of coordinator and her team. If you are on the fence or unsure of whether you need a day or coordinator or wedding planner in general, just do it! Trina and her team are phenomenal are our day was seamless because of her and her team’s effort. We would hire her and her team again in a heartbeat and heartily recommend them to anyone in the need of a coordinator. Thank you so much!
Pink Love Events planned my sports themed baby shower and it was such a smooth, wonderful experience. I'm a first time mom who was stressing out over the baby shower, and Tanisha helped me and reassured me that everything will be okay, and she was right! She was punctual, kept me informed and it was a great value. I loved all the decor. She took my broad theme of a baby shower and turned it into an adorable, well coordinated, beautiful venue! I definitely reccomend!
From the first day I met Kisha and explained to her my plan for my daughter's Sweet 16 Party, she was sensitive to all my needs and budget. She came up with my theme and took us to the most beautiful venues. She also let us choose what we liked and didn't force any opinions on us but provided great advice. We walked into the reception hall the day of the party and it was magical, beautiful and classy. The party turned out to be so much fun for my daughter and her guests. DJ Infinite Sound made my event superb! He made my event a non-stop exciting, fun, dance filled party all night long, until the last minute. He definitely cared about the type of event and added a personal touch that represented the type of celebration I had. I will definitely use him again for all future events. The music was excellent with a good variety. I asked for all music to be clean and it was, but didn't lack quality.
I had the opportunity to work with Pretty Penni Events for a Holiday Party for my office (Thanksgiving 2014). She turned my boring holiday party to a top notch office jam, that everyone is still asking me about. Everything was detailed and themed perfectly. Unforgettably Yours is a wonderful planning service. Ms. Brewster is very detailed and ensured that our wishes were met. She's extremely professional and exceptional at communicating each phase of the planning with you. Our grandson's Teenage Ninja Turtle was a huge success. The kids loved the turtle shells and personalized "sewer lids-plates" with their names. As promised, all I had to do was show up at the event because Ms. Brewester took care of every detail of the party. It was truly a wonderful experience. She was very creative.No one wanted to cut the Ninja Turtle Cake. It was such a work of art! She captured the turtles coming out of the NY sewers on the cake! It was awesome. My grandson felt like a prince. We held the party in our backyard. Ms. Brewster and her team came on time and quickly decorated the area of the event. The decorations were all professionally made and creative. It was everything Ninja Turtle. The only thing missing were the actual turtles themselves but we did not order them. I'm certain that Ms. Brewster would have incorporated them into the theme as well. That was our oversight. I highly recommend Unforgettably Yours for your event.
Andrew and his team planned my wedding for 100 people in about four months. He left no stone unturned, tried to keep me on task and organized, and assisted with choosing vendors and getting contracts in place. He listened to what I wanted in terms of decor and made great suggestions and created a stunning setting for the ceremony and a gorgeous reception. He was available to handle even the smallest detail. Most importantly, on the day of, I was able to relax while he coordinated with the venue, the various vendors, and my wedding party to make sure that things ran smoothly (and that I never found out if things were NOT running smoothly) and according to schedule. I would whole heartedly recommend having Michelle Farmer plan your party or event. Prior to using her services I had the pleasure of attending a bachelorette party, wedding shower, and baby shower planned and organized by her. Each had a wonderful theme that was tasteful, with unique and hand crafted touches that served as keepsakes for the guest and honoree. You could tell she had developed a rapport with the client, catering staff, and venue staff. The events felt relaxed and fun, but at the same time in retrospect you could tell there was no awkward moments as things naturally progressed from games, gift openings, eating and chatting, all while she worked unobtrusively to see to the needs of the hostess and guests. As an Executive Assistant and Meeting Planner, I admired her tact, poise, and welcoming demeanor at each event. The hostesses have all sung her praise and it prompted me to use her for an event of my own. She worked tirelessly and delivered a flawless evening for myself and my friends. She graciously assisted in the development of a theme that fit my tastes and gave valuable input on how it could be tailored to me personally. Her work with the menu took into account varied tastes and budget along with the theme. She also provided hand crafted items to compliment the décor that set the evening apart and were practically Martha. Definitely use her services if you are able to set you apart from the other rounds of dinner parties and showers.
