Juliett is a very encouraging and very patience teacher. I am new to singing, yet she knows how to explain basic concepts well for me to understand. With Juliett's help, I see myself making progress in singing. Juliett is a very experienced teacher in singing and I truly enjoy my singing lessons with Juliett!
I studied with Barbara for over a year and she was an amazing teacher. I learned invaluable techniques and tools from her which I will continue to use for as long as I continue singing. The atmosphere of the lessons with her is fun and relaxed, yet at the same time you learn a lot. Compared to all the other voice teachers I've had over the years, she taught me the most and was the greatest help in developing my voice. Other vocal coaches, especially when studying opera, seem to have a tendency to push the voice to a point which can be harmful - Barbara would never do any such thing. I highly recommend her.
So, I took my first voice lesson this past weekend at the age of 29 with Tina Boosahda.. Nervous is just one of the words I felt before I got there. I wasn't sure what to expect coming into a new experience like this... well let me say, I loved it! I felt comfortable. It was nice having someone go step by step with me so that I understand the fundamentals of voice training and singing. We laughed, we hmmmmed, and we laughed some more. I told my family and my friends of my great experience and they too are interested to know more about her. Thank you Tina for such a great time and I can't wait for my next lesson. Guys--- I'm not kidding, she's great! Take a chance. You won't regret it!
Mr. Walls is an enthusiastic and patient teacher. As a choir member at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton for the past fifteen years, I have been able to sing liturgical music, and participate with other choirs in singing more complex pieces of music, such as requiems and compositions for rites of the church and special occasions. Our choir has sung in various languages, and joined other choirs in ecumenical choir fests. Mr. Walls has studied music composition, conducting, and history, and is an accomplished musician on several instruments, including the piano, organ, and guitar. He has several years teaching experience in the U.S. and abroad. I would say Mr. Walls' expertise and talent are second to none.
Nicole is a wonderful teacher. I had never had singing lessons before but she made me feel totally at ease. Her teaching method is totally individualized and I learn something new every week. She is very encouraging, has a broad knowledge of many different styles of music and enjoys exploring these with her students. Nicole has a very pleasant manner, a sense of humor and lessons are fun!
The vocal technique that I learned from Dorothy Miller completely transformed my voice and my career as a singer. Dorothy’s teaching focuses on the implications of classical, consistent technique within all different styles of music. Voice lessons with Dorothy combine this teaching of safe, anchored singing while exploring the exciting world of performance and audition repertoire. For me, I started working with Dorothy at the age of 12. I had been singing my whole life, but my throat was constantly sore and I had no access to higher ranges. In my 6 years of study with her, I was able to expand my range and vocal versatility, lay down a firm technique and develop a passion for new types of music. Dorothy works to develop an authentic, individual relationship with each student, and over the years I can genuinely say she has become like a second mother to me. She additionally helped me to navigate and prepare for the college audition process, and I completely credit her in my acceptance to the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University!
Vicki is a patient teacher and can adapt to different styles depending on your child or adult. She can teach at any level and even can add voice lessons. My son has never been happier!
As a non native English speaker I found myself hundreds (if not thousands) of times avoiding to use words I did not know how to pronounce or being judged because of my accent. In some way I was pulling myself back and I needed to step forward and "find my voice". I found a new strength and freedom in my voice practices with Alexandra and also could sing! Her lessons are amazing, she does not only work with your voice but with your whole person; she uses amazing techniques to release the tension in your body so you can project your voice with power and relaxation and also connect to your emotions. She fluently leverages work and compassion for the students and is always glad to offer different options to help you to accomplish each exercise successfully according to your own pace and ability. Working with Alexandra will empower you to find your best with professionalism, love and happiness. Thank you Alexandra!
I have been taking lessons from Sam for about two months now. I am an adult who is coming to vocal training with little experience in singing other than some high school chorus and performances. And I am so glad I did! Sam was immediately welcoming, encouraging, and warm. He is clearly a wonderful person and it shows right away. But maybe more importantly, he is an extremely talented singer, performer and instructor. I really wanted an experienced and sophisticated teacher who will not just encourage me but teach me, push me, and help me to advance and become an accomplished performer. Sam has a great reputation and teaches many advanced, even famous singers but he is also great for beginners. He teaches you not just singing technique but how to develop as a musician both technically and emotionally. Before starting with Sam, I took a few lessons with others who start you off the bat with sheet music and just singing. That doesn't work in my view. Singing is difficult (more difficult than I expected actually) and to progress you have to understand theory, rhythm, timing and phrasing. Sam starts you with these kinds of lessons so that when you start singing you understand the music itself, not just technique. In short, you won't find a better teacher or person than Sam so if you are interested in progressing either as a beginner or an experienced singer, please check him out. You won't be disappointed.
Charles is the best. Ive been taking singing lessons for 17 weeks or so and i hear a tremendous difference in the way my voice sounds. On the first day he will give you a broad overview covering his techniques. Then you can pick and choose what you would like to learn. Charles will give you simple drills that might feel a bit funny when you first try them, but if you just do what he says and practice for an hour or two per week you will magically get a little better each week because Charles knows his stuff. His knowledge comes from experience and academic papers he has read vigorously. Just do what the guy says and dont forget to practice, and i promise you will improve. People who have said I would never be a good singer have retracted their statements and admitted they were wrong after only 12 weeks!
I went to Sarah for help in honing my singing and sightreading skills in preparation for an audition. I spent six weeks having lessons with her. From day one, she knew how to determine what I needed to work on and came up with a gameplan for me. She was always prepared for my lessons and extremely supportive along the way. By the end, I was able to do things I would never had been able to without Sarah's help, was much more confident in my signing and sightreading skills, and knew how to continue preparing for my audition on my own. She used techniques I had not used in other voice lessons which were very effective for me and my voice. I would recommend Sarah for any experience level and any singing-related need.
I am taking voice lessons with Belinda. I am 56 years old and have recently joined a Sweet Adeline singing group (barbershop style.) I love to sing but had no knowledge of proper technique and found I was getting hoarse. Belinda is helping me tremendously. She is extremely talented and versatile and is a wonderful teacher. I do this for fun, and Belinda respects my goals and works with me toward what I want to accomplish. But she is an accomplished opera singer and would be just as capable working with someone with more professional aspirations.
I am eternally grateful for my experience with All Things Are Possible LLC. I joined ATAP during its beginning stages and it has been a pleasure to see the business grow by leaps and bounds. As a result of working with ATAP, I have been able to play principal roles in shows such as the Lion King, West Coast Cheetah Tour, and Hairspray on Broadway. Dr. Wyche is one of the best singing and acting coaches around. If you put in the work and attend lessons consistently, you will definitely see results.
I contacted Lena for vocal lessons. I have been playing guitar for over 10 years but had no prior vocal training and wanted to begin singing with a group at my church. I noticed improvement only after a few lessons and after only a month or so of lessons I was singing publicly for the first time, something I never thought I would have the ability to do. Lena has a strong understanding of music theory and techniques. Her lessons were well organized and created foundations that she would build on throughout the weeks. She was extremely encouraging and showed great flexibility by tailoring lessons to my specific needs or areas I wanted to improve. I would recommend Lena to anyone looking to improve themselves instrumentally or vocally.
Debbie has great experience working with students of all levels and finds the right level of challenge for each student. She makes the lessons fun, dynamic and engaging. She is highly recommended!!!!
The first time I heard Deletta sing, I was so blown away by both her vocal and performance ability that I decided to take vocal lessons from her myself. Her teaching style is warm, personal and professional, with a generous helping of positivity and encouragement. She easily conveys concepts that were previously difficult for me to grasp and tailors her lesson to the individual's level of experience and knowledge. Watching her perform and listening to the ease with which she finds her notes and connects with both her band and the audience is like a master class for me as aspiring vocalist and performer myself. She is a pleasure to study with and a joy to listen to.
I worked with Piero for many years in lessons and choirs. He always demonstrated an exceptional level of musicianship and made rehearsals fun. Private lessons were valuable and I often find myself using thing I learned from Piero with my own students. I have seen him work well with singers of all ages from young students up through adults. Everyone can benefit from working with him.
My daughter has been taking piano and voice lessons from Chelsea for the last three years. It has been a great experience! Chelsea has a wealth of knowledge and a caring, supportive approach. With her help, my daughter has continued to improve as a musician. She has been in All-County Chorus for the last three years and a member of the Maryland All-State Chorus this past year. She has also gotten roles in several musical theatre productions, with help from Chelsea in preparing for auditions. Ms. Chelsea tailors the lessons based on my daughter's interests and goals. She is approachable and flexible, willing to work with our schedules and also adjust her plan when my daughter needs assistance to prepare for an audition or performance. Chelsea picks out music of different genres, ranging from foreign language pieces to show tunes. She also holds yearly recitals to give her students a chance to perform and to demonstrate what they have learned. Chelsea's knowledge of music and her love of music clearly shine through, and I see that reflected in my daughter's own love of music. I highly recommend Chelsea as a music teacher!
She was the vocal coach for my daughter. My daughter and I both loved Amber! She was upbeat, friendly, and encouraging while still being serious about the music. She has a beautiful voice, is very knowledgeable, and taught theory as well as practice. She allowed my daughter to have input into the lessons, to choose new songs to learn. Amber was 100% reliable as well. I strongly recommend her.
Don is very professional yet friendly. My daughter is currently taking piano lessons from him. Very happy with his lessons.
I have taken voice lessons before, however, never enjoyed the experience as I have with Momma Debbie Kirkland. Momma Debbie has a warm, fun, exciting, inviting, loving, motherly and caring spirit. She is an awesome teacher and singer. I felt major improvements in my breathing and voice dynamics. It has truly been a life changing experience that I will treasure forever and ever. This woman is The Bomb.Com!!!!!!
