If you want delicious food at an affordable price, you want Chef Kev! I’m am surly the pickiest eater there is, but Chef Kev got the best of me! We hired Chef Kev to provide the food for a networking event that we hosted. As an event planning company, we have had the chance to taste food from many different caterers throughout the Maryland, DC and VA area, but Chef Kev is among the best! His food made all the difference for our event and we cannot wait to begin referring our clients too him! (I should also mention how professional, and neat he was. He left the venue looking better than when he got there!)

Maribel, Noel, and company catered our wedding at a private venue in Fairfax, VA. They exceeded far above and beyond our wildest dreams and expectations for our wedding. We had such a fabulous experience with Kimberly and her staff! Coming from an event-planning background myself, I was more of a type-A bride than I would like to admit. Two weeks before the wedding, I handed Kimberly a 40-pg field manual (unsolicited) with detailed instructions on how to set up the venue and a timeline detailing the day's events down to the minute. I'll be the first person to admit that it was not an easy road map to follow, and Kimberly and her staff executed it perfectly. The decorations looked better than I had ever imagined and the whole event ran incredibly smoothly, despite my husband and I making several changes to the plan on the day of the wedding. She and her staff were in excellent communication with our DJ, MC, and live musician, and virtually unseen by the rest of the guests. Moreover, she maintained an incredible attitude throughout and was a joy to work with. I couldn't be more pleased with the experience and I know our guests would agree!

Working with EA was amazing... from start to finish. Their responsiveness, their professionalism and their vision--had me from day one. From the time of first contact, Shavonna calmed me and reassured me that EA could turn my vision into a reality. We hired EA for event design--and they did just that! Every picture I sent and every idea I conveyed was implemented to the fullest extent. EA received kudos from my venue and my wedding planner for their efficient manner for getting the job done, as well as the exquisite design details. When my new hubby and I were introduced, as we walked into the ballroom, I literally cried. As a bride, planning for months, you can never imagine just HOW it will all pull together--your vision, your ideas, your dreams--that makes you so very nervous. As we walked through the crowd to start our first dance, I remember thinking "it is literally dead-on...they nailed my vision dead-on..." I remember telling Shavonna prior that I couldn't imagine how all of my ideas would pull together--couldn't envision it... her response was "leave it to her--that was EA's job, that's why I hired them...so I could remove that concern off my plate" Once again...dead-on.... From the lanterns, to the Eiffel tower feather centerpieces, to the gorgeous linens to the spectacular feather bouquets/boutonnieres/corsages....I am forever grateful.... Many people tell you to prepare for something not to go right, or for something not to be perfect on your wedding day. However, I can honestly say, hiring EA will prove everyone wrong...your day will be amazing--far beyond what you ever dreamt possible--they will meet AND exceed your expectations! They were absolutely awesome!! They were so flexible and worked hard at helping us get a play list approved with our church. They were professional in all that they did and in all of our dealings with them. Our guest just loved them. The sound was just awesome at our venue. I highly recommend them to any one. We hired Lisa to be our on-site wedding coordinator a month before the big day, and she jumped right in and helped everything run smoothly and efficiently. She worked with the on-site staff to decorate and prepare the venue and she did a great job. Would recommend Lisa to others.

Angie of Honey Do Wedding and Event Planners was one of the best decisions we made throughout our wedding planning process. She was affordable (especially for a student and military wedding) but always made us feel like her number one clients. Not only was she a great value, but she went over and above what we were expecting. We hired her to be our day of coordinator, but we met with her on a regular basis and she always responded to all calls, texts, and emails. Angie is incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and has connections with various other wedding vendors. As a same sex couple, she never treated us any differently than an opposite-sex couple, and she actually was great at recognizing the subtle differences that come with having two brides. At our first meeting at a potential venue, Angie came prepared with examples of her work and binder with all of our info. She even printed out new forms that said bride and bride instead of bride and groom. These small but significant touches are what make Angie stand out among other wedding planners. She helped us negotiate with vendors to get better prices and confirmed all vendors the week of, lifting a lot of the stress off of our shoulders. We can't speak highly enough of Angie and the Honey Do family!

We hired Minute Events Catering for our wedding. From the beginning we met with Chantel to get a vision of what we wanted and how they can help. We decided on a couple brunch options and unlimited mimosas. Chantel provided her advice and past experiences to help us make some last minute changes, that ended up saving us some money at the end. Our tasting with Chef Steve was delicious the chicken and waffles was perfect, and the sweet tea was to die for. With us coordinating this out of town, he went out of his way to make sure we squeezed the tasting in on a Sunday, even though they aren't open on Sundays. Chef Steve was sweet and not too intrusive. He offered his advice without pushing us in one direction or another. He asked if we liked to make any changes to how the food was prepared, and he delivered on those changes on the big day. They were prompt for the final walkthrough at the venue and sent in the floor plan. They called to make sure we understood how everything was going to go on the big day. On the actual day, they arrived on time and provided the services we were contracted. The food was amazing and our guests loved the chicken and waffles and salmon especially. They made sure we got our food first with all of the options, and they had set aside several of our speciality drinks for us. Thanks again to Chef Steve, Chantel, and Minute Events for making our day special!

We were so blessed to work with Alexandria & her whole Purposefully Designed Event team. She planned our entire wedding effortlessly and truly made the entire experience a stress free one!! Their team catered our wedding, too! Stephanie- their patty chef created a beautiful and delicious wedding cake for us! She recommended great vendors for our music and photography. We even were married using the venue she recommended : the Nottingham garden house. It was beautiful, budget friendly and truly enjoyable! No matter if you are on a tight budget or have all the money in the world- Hire Purposefully Designed Events!!! 10 out of 10!
