Cesar installed a new recessed medicine cabinet in my bathroom. He did a great job especially considering he needed to resize the opening and cut through metal in the process. He was quick, friendly, and reasonably priced. Overall I am very satisfied and I highly recommend his services!

Walt and his guys installed a dishwasher and garbage disposal in our tiny kitchen where there had never been ones before. They did everything--cut out a space in the existing cabinet for the dishwasher, wired everything back to the electrical panel, did the plumbing, etc, and fixed a recently-discovered leak in our sink drain while they were at it! They were totally professional, did great work, and were super flexible as we were trying to get the work done as close to our move-in date as possible!

I was originally lookIng to have my commodes replaced, but when I saw all of the other work Juan does, I put that on hold. I wanted some painting done before Christmas. Juan came and gave an estimate on the same day I did my search and we agree on a date and price that day too! I knew the quote was more than reasonable. Juan arrived early, and the service was professional and FAST!!! Three rooms, a small kitchen and bathroom painted (walls only; furniture moved) in under 6 hours!!! To say that I am pleased with the painting service is an understatement! They didn’t drop a spec of paint anywhere and have such streaky hands that taping was not needed! These guys are the real deal! I cannot wait for the next project and will be using them for more painting, to remodel my bathroom and some electrical stuff!

Really enjoyed working with Robert. He was extremely responsive from the moment I submitted my requirements online through completion of the project. This was a rather unique installation (custom wine cellar door) due to the fact that I had not originally purchased all the right materials from the manufacturer. Robert went above and beyond (calling vendors, visiting stores and skowering the internet) to track down the right materials to make this project successful and was very accommodating to my schedule when coordinating to do work at the house. He is detail oriented and has a work ethic that is hard to come by now a days. I highly recommend him and will most definitely use him again in the future.

John Mark designed a stand for two small Indian chests of unequal size so that I could use them as a footboard. He also repaired and restored the brass inlaid and surface decoration as well as the intricate interior carved surfaces. He created a key to replace one long missing so the chests can be locked. His workmanship is superb! I would trust him with my most prized wood pieces, whether furniture or art.

I had a small privacy fence fall down this winter. Luis responded promptly he came the next day to give me a free estimate. He came today to complete the job and he did great work. He replaced the 2 wood ends and replaced one broken wood panel and cemented the fence in the ground. His price was good and the job was done quickly from beginning to end. I would refer him to a friend and do plan on hiring him again.

Patrick was very professional from the very beginning. he came a couple times to check measurements and did above and beyond of the work that was expected. customizing things like the stand for my invoice printer, to adding a touch of paint to match my walls. I love the shelves, desk, and the cube that he made for usage of the entire wall in my office. I won't need a bookstand anymore and now have more floor space in my office, which was my main goal to begin with. my file cabinets were painted the way I wanted also. there were some last minute additions like taking the drawers from my old desk and installing on the new one... he made it happen. Thanks Patrick for a wonderful job!

We had multiple contractors tell us what we wanted done was impossible or not worth their time. It was a small job (just one cabinet that needed to be cut in half to open up the room), but it took an entire day and a high level of skill and detail to complete. Henry was the ONLY one that said this could be done and that he would be able to maintain the detail on the cabinet (instead of just cutting the cabinet in half with a straight edge and forgetting the detail work). The job is done and I couldn’t be more pleased!! You can’t even tell the cabinet was cut...that’s how good his detail work was!! Excellent attention to detail, patience and skilled work!!

Just thought I'd give credit where credit is due. I don't normally give reviews, but thought I should in this case, as the whole project went so smoothly. This has not always been the case for us when hiring contractors in the past. Shane is hard working and dependable. He has many years experience in a great number of construction / contracting fields. We recently had him do some work for us in a commercial recording studio, installing an antique door, (antique for aesthetics) and the end result was great The door and header above are level, look neat and tidy, and finish and trim are done to a high standard. Couldn't be happier. I might also add, that Shane's prices were fair and reasonable, and throughout the project he conducted himself in a professional manner. Shane also paid respect to his surroundings, in so far as nothing was damaged in the studio, and he took care in cleaning up after himself when the work was completed. He also kept the work area tidy while the work was in progress. We will be calling Shane in the future, as we have some outdoor trim, fascia, and soffit that are in need of repair. To cut to the chase... I highly recommend Shane if you are in need of any sort of renovations, or need help with any other construction related upgrades or repairs.

David from Evolve did a great job assembling and mounting a medicine cabinet and another bathroom cabinet on the wall, and moved an outlet. He found solutions to issues he encountered, kept me informed, and gave me options. He was very punctual and reasonably priced. I highly recommend him/Evolve remodeling.

My husband and I struck gold when we found Sam Axton! We were referred to Sam by a friend after interviewing 8 differrent companies to update our 1910 master bathroom. Sam installed a beadboard ceiling, installed cabinets and reworked a wall cabinet, took care of plumbing, new toilets and sinks, plastered the walls and put in crown moulding with the most beautiful mitered corners. He has also taken care of trim on outside of the house. Our bathroom is beautiful! Sam is honest, and takes great pride in his workmanship. Something hard to find these days. He works fast and listens to what you need. We will be having him back for our next project.

Eric with Acacia built a window seating area, painted the living room and installed kitchen cabinet with granite countertop in my house. Their professionalism and quality of work are pretty amazing. I checked out their shop in Virginia where all units are manufactured and it is an impressive place. The thing about Eric is that he is very trustworthy and goes above and beyond to get the job done to customer satisfaction. He also takes care of many other small things/details outside of the contract details during the job without making a big deal about it. Overall very good job and will hire again.

Learned about Curtis' company through work he did for a neighbor who was extremely satisfied with his work. They allowed us to see the work he'd done on their master bath and it looked great. We had our townhouse kitchen renovated by them. Curtis provided a very comprehensive estimate which detailed some items we hadn't considered such as daily clean-up, the payment schedule, and how receipts would be handled for materials purchases. His estimate came in at the middle of 4 estimates we received for tear-down of the original kitchen, new cabinet installation, tile floors and backsplash with some electrical and plumbing thrown in. He was able to accommodate an earlier start date when the cabinets we ordered were available earlier then expected by 2 weeks. He and his 2 assistants worked efficiently and more importantly they took care when doing the demo (and throughout the project) to protect the hallway floors and other areas of the house from dust, dirt and debris. They worked very efficiently and by the end of the 2nd day were starting on laying the tile floor. Cabinet installation went smoothly and he was kind enough to point out a couple items which we needed to report back to the cabinet makers regarding some bowing. Overall the project took approximately 9 business days from start to finish with a few small visits to finish up hardware, trim and reinstallation of the dishwasher once the counters and sink folks (separate company) finished their piece. His 2 assistants were equally pleasant and made us feel comfortable so we could ask questions as needed. We plan to use Curtis' company Oddjobs.pro again for upcoming bathroom renovations and some other work we need done.

Julio did several projects in our home including demolition of existing fireplace, tiling new fireplace surround and installing built in cabinetry with bookshelves and new mantle. Absolutely beautiful. We were so pleased with his work that we hired him again to install more built in cabinetry in our basement. I'm looking forward to working with him again. He is reliable, professional, courteous and by far the most reasonable price.

I hired Antonio (Tony) Sanchez from Renaissance Restoration to complete a kitchen renovation this past fall (sorry I did not get around to completing this review sooner!). I did all the demolition, but the job included lights and electrical, plumbing repair, cabinet and counter top install, appliance install, and painting. Tony gave a very reasonable estimate and personally worked on my project with his assistant from start to finish as opposed to having one of his employees complete the job. As he began the job, he soon realized that virtually nothing from the original construction was square (townhouse was built in 1987). However, that did not phase him as he had the skills to adjust making those imperfections unnoticeable in the end. In addition, Tony has skills in most of the trades which meant that he did not have to sub different parts of the job out; he did all the electrical, plumbing and carpentry himself. The best part of my experience working with Tony was that he discussed and explained different options or ways of completing a task to ensure there were no surprises, and I was impressed with his willingness to even teach me a little along the way. He was flexible in allowing me to have a friend install the tile floor and was understanding of my need to stick to a rather tight budget. There are only two comments I could make for overall improvement: cleanliness and timeliness. On a couple of occasions, I had to discard empty food containers and drinks that had been left behind. I attributed this to oversight and could be easily improved by making an effort to clean up the work site after each day of work. Considering it was not a space I was using though, it was not that big of a deal. As for timeliness, the project took longer than expected to complete. However, I know that my involvement did have some impact on the schedule and the fact he was doing the work himself while still managing other jobs is a factor. I would not hesitate to bring Tony in for another project in the future. I am completely satisfied with his work and would recommend him to anyone.

I live in AZ and the project to be completed was in VA. It was very scary to hire someone and trust them when you live across the country. Not only did Daves Contracting helped make it seamless and walked me through every step of the way by sending me before and after picture and contacting me through text but they also did a beautiful job. He was honest and a great price for the huge patio repair we needed done. I would hire him again.

Mark and his Team were excellent, the 4 crew personalities were happy to be at my house working on installing the granite. As a Builder, with many years of experience , anytime you found employees happy to work, rest assure , the work will be done correctly. ( Mark) is proactive and effective in managing his employees and hiring the correct crew. Mark has been extremely responsive from answer his phone to text. The crew was fantastic , they worked together flawlessly and efficiently . As a Builder of multi million dollar homes in Vienna ,VA I would not hesitate to hire Ideal Stone LLC. Mark was involved on the front and back end of my project. This project was my personal residence in Vienna VA, so it was important to me to found the correct Contractor who understands the importance of time management and quality work ethics and detail, I wanted someone like me, This company ( Mark and Crew ) worked flawlessly to complete my personal project. Thanks Mark and Team. This kitchen was a $75K construction project with all high end cabinetry with the best granite installation . I felt at ease the Mark executed flawlessly with his responsibilities.

We needed a basic door to cover the entrance to our basement crawl space. Stephen arrived early and was very through. He used spray foam insulation around cracks, reused the wood we had, added hinges and a small latch. He cleaned up after he was finished and his price was exactly as quoted.

In planning our move from Northern Virginia to our home in Florida, My wife and I faced a potentially costly issue with having to replace our dining room table and buffet set, because the 104" long table would not fit into the considerably smaller dining room in our new home in Florida. Although we really did not want to replace the set, we had already conceded that we would have to run a local Craigslist ad, and hopefully be able to find a buyer who would offer us pennies on a dollar for the set, or have to give it away for free before the movers show up in 30 days. My wife was already looking at $5,000 replacement sets. Ouch! Running out of time, I thought if I could find a skilled woodworking craftsman that would take on a small but challenging project such cutting down a table top by about 20", we may be able to make the dining set work in the new home. Through Thumbtack, I described the project, received a list of potential woodworkers, and solicited to a half dozen furniture builders for the project. I received a response from only one individual, Gerry Hurley of Max Min Design. I read the reviews of Gerry's work, and impressed by the photos of his past projects, we hired Gerry. Gerry's price to do the project was very reasonable, and in addition, he said that he would be able to complete the job in ample time before the movers show up. Gerry got right on it. He came to the house with the right tools and was able to do a fantastic job; cutting down the table top, making the necessary modifications to the under supports, shortening the finished side rails, and stained and finished the end cut surface to perfectly match the rest of the table. Gerry even used scrap from wood removed to make a number of matching wood plugs to cover all the new screw holes in the shortened side rails, to look exactly like the original construction. To look at the table now, it is impossible to detect that the table had ever been modified. In addition, Gerry also stained and finished the 20" section that was removed so that I can possibly use later for a nice sized matching coffee table. All I need to do is add the four legs. Gerry, I welcome you and your good ethical nature to this USA. The end product and the professionalism you show in your work clearly portrays the pride you take in your skill and craftsmanship. A great job Gerry! Thank you!

David Parades dos an excellent job with the gutters, clean them up, pulled them up in place and secured them, which is exactly what was needed. From the time I contacted him, he was professional, on time, knowledgable of the job and delivered good service. I hired him again for another work with fixing window arch trim due to a wood pecker problem, he came as promised, completed the work on the same day. Window arch that had a hole pecked by wood pecker is not only fixed but looks like new. He did good work work too. Recommended him to neighbor's as well.
