ANYONE LOOKING FOR AN EVENT PLANNER LISTEN UP: Where do I begin this woman is a gift from the gods!!! I hired LaTasha for my wedding on 12/17/16 and little did we know what we were in store for with the inclement weather. LaTasha was perfect in managing my emotions and making sure I did not stress about anything or any little detail that may have been forgotten. She was my brain for the day and thought of any and everything that I may have forgotten. She was worth every penny. She stepped in when my dress hook snapped, from stepping in as my officiant, to making sure all my expectations were met. I could not have made a better choice for my event planner. Not to mention I hired her for the rehearsal dinner and she went above and beyond that night just to make sure my family was having a good time and their needs were met. She made Josh and me truly ecstatic, because nothing is more critical then knowing you entrusted the right person with coordinating for your big event. THANKS A LOT LaTasha

I LOVE As You Wish. As a photographer I work with a ton of wedding planners. However As You Wish has been my favorite so far. Brennan goes above and beyond for every bride to make sure that they are not stressed out on their big day. She is very well organized and works well with all of the people involved in the wedding. Her keen eye for detail really shows with her decorations. As a photographer we love when planners/designers pay attention to every little detail. Madison Photography would reccomend As You Wish for all of your wedding and party needs :)

I am so thankful to have had the pleasure of working with Chappelow Events as they took care of every little detail for our daughter's wedding. As Mother of the Bride, I felt so responsible for making her day perfect and the Chappelows made that possible. The stress of making sure everyone made it down the aisle on time or when should they cut the cake to who is going to make sure the flowers are perfectly placed where the bride wanted them was lifted from the entire wedding party as Beth and Josh efficiently handled it all. It was a wonderful wedding day. Thank you so much.

We used Marian and Allie as Day Of Coordinators for our daughter's wedding at The Elms Hotel this summer. We were planning the wedding from out of town and Marian was very easy to work with. They are very familiar with the venue and the area so that was an added benefit. They made the final contact with our vendors and asked just the right questions to make our vision come to life. Allie did a wonderful job coordinating the rehearsal. She was organized, patient and open to ideas. She prepared a detailed timeline for the wedding day and it all ran like clockwork. Most importantly Marian and Allie gave us the time to be fully present during the wedding day. I was comfortable to turn everything over to them and just soak in the moments of our daughter’s wedding. That in itself is invaluable!

I make it my business to get everything you have asked for, so, therefore, I pay close attention to detail. I work with a budget that fits you. The services that I offer is a proposal planning for when you're ready to pop the question. I will also plan your bachelor or bachelorette party, rehearsal, dinner ceremony, and reception. You, the client, is my top priority, and your satisfaction is very important to me. Free To Be Me Bridal will take the worry and the planning off your shoulders because you have enough to worry about.

I believe that love and laughter make the world go around. Although I am very professional I do try to make the planning process fun for all of my clients.

I put so much of what I love into every wedding. I make sure that every "I" is dotted, "T" is crossed- just the way I would if it was my own wedding.

I am a retired teacher of 35 years. I am extremely creative, so I decided to continue my education by obtaining certification as wedding coordinator, event planner, and interior decorator. I also specialize in making an item called (clutch and carry), they measure 4x8 inches and can carry small items for convenience. I make them for all occasions including KU. My motto is "design on a dime." My prices are very reasonable and will work with your budget. What matters is your satisfaction.

I plan weddings, and I have a great caterer. I know a lot of places to plan weddings and receptions.

I problem-solve with ease, am prepared for anything, stay calm no matter what, and have a creative eye for all aesthetics.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

      What is a wedding planner?

A wedding planner is a professional service provider whose job it is to organize and execute all the details of a couple’s wedding. A wedding planner can be contracted at any stage in the wedding planning process to help to any degree the couple is willing to pay for. Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner. When looking for a wedding planner, be sure to read reviews, and make smart hiring decisions by asking about licenses and insurance.

How much does it cost for a wedding planner?

Wedding planning is a full-time job — unless you hire a professional to handle the hard work for you. The cost for a wedding planner will depend on the level of service you desire. The least expensive wedding planner option is day-of coordination, then partial service, then full-service.

The national average cost for wedding planning is between $990 and $1,300. Costs are greatly affected by region, with rural or smaller-town wedding planners often far more affordable than planners in higher-cost cities. Here are some examples of the various levels of wedding planning and their potential average costs:

      • Day-of-wedding coordination: $800-$1,700. Day-of services can include the planner finalizing all details, creating a timeline, confirming vendors and overseeing all setup, day-of activities, and cleanup. The couple does all the front-end planning and contracts all the vendors. Time commitment could be about 15-25 hours, depending on pricing.
      • Partial service: $1,500-$3,800. Here the planner works with the couple from the beginning, helping contract vendors, creating a timeline, and overseeing all details of day-of execution. Time commitment could be about 30-60 hours, depending on package and pricing.
      • Full service: $3,500-$8,000 or more. Here the professional handles all wedding and planning details including working on design, securing rentals, getting the venue and vendors, and handling complete execution of the event. Time commitment could be 50-150 hours or more, depending on package and pricing.
      • Consulting: $50-$150 per hour for design, vendor, reception and other wedding planning consultation.
Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
