Steve installed a new faucet in my kitchen along with a new soap dispenser and new sink strainer and garbage disposal flange. He did an excellent job working hard throughout the job, but if one thing went slightly wrong it was that during the process of securing the job, he asked me to send him a message with my address, scope of job and contact info. By "text", he meant a message to his cell phone. I thought all communication went through the Thumbtack app. Anyway, in the beginning, I had asked for a bid to install a new faucet, soap dispenser water lines and shut off valves. Steve had bid on that job. I was providing everything except the shutoff valves. Later, I went to Lowes to pick up the materials needed. While there, the Lowes associate asked if I wanted matching sink strainer and garbage disposal flange. I said that I did. When Steve later asked for the text mentioned above, I clearly stated that the job included the installation of a garbage disposal flange and sink strainer. Steve indicated had he seen that, his price would have been more. It seemed like the installation of the latter two items were the worst part of the job and made Steve very "frustrated". The more frustrated he became, the more difficult the job was. I went in and try to assist and together we got it done. Having known it was not in the original scope and knowing Steve was out on the job when I made the change, I added some money to what I had agreed to pay know I too, was partially to blame for the mishap.
Milt pressure washed our old deck -- making it look clean and new. He replaced about 5 damaged boards, sanded and applied a wood sealer. I couldn't believe all the attention detail and never expected him to sand after power washing. I intend to bring him back in 4 or 5 years for a reseal.
I hired Roy Residentiall Services to wash and stain my deck and Roy came out and give me a bid. I liked his attitude from the beginning. business like and likeable. He did a very good job on masking all areas before staining. He also stained my privacy fence same time. He always called back when I had a question which means a lot to me. He was very punctual and efficient. I would recommend him to anyone.
Roy was great to work with and our floor looks nice. He always showed up when he said he was going to and he put down nearly 800 sq feet of tile. The only thing I wish we would have done is we might have needed to pay a little more to have him put down a layer of self leveling underlayment to help keep the tiles all even to each other ... but they look great.
Ray replaced our old 1980's fireplace shelves and mantle with new redesigned units. He did a great job of matching the existing wainscotting trim, etc. and the quality of the finished shelves was excellent.
I had Josh do some work for me on the exterior of my home replacing some siding and working on some structural issues as well as cosmetic issues. He was on time everyday, cleaned up everything, and did everything I asked on time and at a very reasonable rate. I would recommend Pehl Carpentry to anyone that asked.
Kerry cleaned and covered my gutters. Very responsive, experienced contractor. Competitive pricing.
Itamar and his crew have always provided us with a great quality interior/exterior finish. Itamar's broad knowledge of materials and the application process always leave us with a quality product that people love.
Josh was very busy, and our work was outdoors so scheduling around rainy weather in the Spring took a while. However, once we finally got him out to the house, he and his workers were extremely professional. We needed a handyman to install a difficult old exterior lock/handle that they don't make anymore (which needed to be epoxied to cover the old hole). We then wanted to paint the front door over the epoxy & shutters to match. They were unfortunately not able to replace the old lock without a large plate (which we opted not to do). But we went ahead and had him paint the front door and shutters, which looks great. We also needed to hang a vintage cast iron (and thus extremely heavy) wall hung mailbox. He installed some extra support beams on the other side of the garage so we aren't worried about it falling. It looks great too. I would definitely hire Josh again for any handyman or painting job we need in the future.
Alessandro's team painted my house a few weeks ago and I am very pleased with the extensive preparation and quality of their work. For example, they use liquid mask, which is latex, to spray the windows with the thin layer of latex, In addition, they cover the windows with plastic before starting to spray paint the house. After all is done the plastic is removed and the latex layer is cut out. There's no chance the paint could penetrate two layers of protection. Everything has been done on schedule as promised, not like a lot of other contractors who tend to disappear when the job needs to be done and finished. Besides all these team is group of incredibly nice people, they don't hire subcontractors and they know their job very well. I would highly recommend to hire the Stanford Enterprises painting company, they might be the best painting company in Kansas City area right now.
We had a sump pump go out but the plumber I called said it was an electrical problem. I got in touch with Jason and within 4 hours he was there, identified the problem, got a replacement, and had it installed. And all after hours on a Saturday. Outstanding service - cannot recommend highly enough. 10/10
WOW!! Matthew and his crew saved me THOUSANDS of dollars! I had water spots forming on one my my ceilings that kept growing- I had 2 other contractors that said it was nothing and just paint over them and didn't even stay 10 minutes!! However Matthew felt issue was more serious and I gave him permission to cut a small hole in my ceiling to see what was goi g on, and I'm glad he did!! He discovered that the drain from my bathtub was causing the leak and he had me fill it with water and drain it and was able to isolate the spot immediately! He primed and cemented the pipe and as added protection put flex seal on that area of the pipe and the leak hasn't returned! He promptly came back the next day to patch the hole in the ceiling that he cut along with the other water damaged areas, and his charge was extremely reasonable!! I'm going to paint my house inside and out, and out laminate floors in, and I will DEFINATELY be using Incredible Home Soutioms for that work!! Way to go, Matthew & thank you so much for taking he the time to listen to my concerns!!
I am extremely impressed with Holderman Construction. I recently hired this company for a project that involved several components, both indoor and exterior components, and I was completely satisifed with the results of every single component. I’ll go into the details in a minute, but among the highlights of working with this company were the excellent communication and feedback, the punctuality, great professionalism, and above all, the incredible attention to detail and high work quality, along with an excellent value - these guys put a lot of labor into my project at more than a fair price. And they were extremely easy to work with. My project lasted 4 days and they were great to interact with every single day, and did quality work every day. They were polite, friendly, and clean. They even removed their shoes, and did an outstanding job with post-project cleanup. The main interior project was bathroom remodeling of cabinets. We had attempted previously to have someone use color stain to re-stain our cabinets and trim, and we just never liked the results. So this project was starting to add up in cost, with a readily we didn’t really like. Ray (the primary/owner) and Aaron (one of his main partners) did an absolutely outstanding job on the bathroom cabinets. They fully sanded all the drawers and doors down so that the previous and original stains/polyurethane were completely removed before applying the color stain again. That was a critical component, because in the end, the color stain ended up looking terrific - even better than I’d hoped it would look. My expectation of how they should look when completed came from the swatches of the particular color I selected (rustic grey) for the color stain I’d purchased. We realized that the previous application of that same stain, we weren’t really seeing the wood come through the stain, but instead the previous (original) stain, becuase it hadn’t been fully removed. In the end, the cabinets and trim looked BETTER than that expectation! Ray and Aaron really hit it out of the park on this one. And when they were done with the sanding and staining, they cleaned up really well from the dust and there was very little lingering chemical smell from the stain. Awesome! I also had them fix some lingering plumbing problems that had frustrated me because a previous contractor was not able to resolve them. Not Holderman Construction - fixed them both for good. The remaining components of my project were wood rot repair and storm door installation. I really loved what they did with both of these tasks. Seems straightforward but there is the materials aspect - which product, wood or vinyl, etc. There was an odd complexity to the back door wood rot that introduced a potential obstacle but Ray and Aaron were able to find a solution and overcome it by finding the right type of wood at the right thickness (original builder apparently chose an unorthodox door and window frame thickness for SOME but not all of my windows and doors). They repaired the wood rot and painted over it and it looks great and is of course no longer rotted. But the real bonus for me was that in the process, Ray managed to correct an incredibly vexing problem with the main back door in front of the storm door - it was not level, and leaking a TON, and I mean a TON of air through the bottom and the sides. I didn’t go into the storm door installation with any expectation of improving the air flow issue for that door, but that’s what I ended up with. An almost complete remediation of that problem. I am absolutely thrilled with the back door now. It closes properly, it’s level, and virtually no air coming in! That’s only been bothering us for 15 years now. On top of that, several other contractors tried, but ultimately failed, to resolve that issue with the door. And come to think of it, at least one if not two previous contractors told me they’d fixed wood rot issues that they really did not fix. Well, they’re fixed now, becuase Holderman Construction fixed them CORRECTLY. Ray is highly attentive to detail, does quality work, at a more than fair price. You can tell he knows what he’s doing. And I can say the same for Aaron, his partner. I really enjoyed working with them, and not only would I hire Holderman Construction again, but I’m sure right now that I WILL hire them again for other projects I have waiting. I highly recommend them.
