Introduction: Guitar instructor Tom Pender teaches all styles of music
and accepts students of all levels.
Tom has taught privately for over 35 years and served as
faculty at Longview Community College for 22 years.
As an active professional musician, Tom has performed as a lead guitarist for 11 years in the Kansas City Chiefs' Tony DiPardo Pack Band and performed with various national acts, including Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, and trumpet player Mark Pender of the Conan OBrien Show.
In addition, Tom has recorded innumerable music projects and radio and TV commercials.
Tom has a degree in professional music performance from the Musicians Institute of Technology and a music composition degree from UMKC Conservatory of Music.
His teaching style includes fundamentals of music, as well as working with students to achieve personal goals through development of a Wish List that can contain anything, from rock to Bach.
Private lessons are $20 per half hour.
