I have had a great experience taking drum lessons with J Michael. He is very patient, and he is excited to help me learn the type of drumming I am interested in. I am a bit older and have a full time job. I have never played drums before taking these lessons, nor did I know much about music. Despite my limitations, he has always treated me well, and he keeps me on a great pace. We continue to practice concepts I have learned, but we always move forward as well. He knows his stuff, and I highly recommend him as a teacher!
Candice does an excellent job of pushing me to play better by providing me with challenging material. She strikes a great balance between guiding my lessons that will improve my skills and taking me where I want to go with drumming.
Because she has a variety of skills in percussion (drum set, steel pan, hand percussion) and various genres, she can tackle a lot more and teach you much more than most of the drummers around here. I seriously walked into drum lessons saying "I don't have rhythm". After taking lessons for several years, I'm realizing how silly that comment was. Now my rhythm on drums and other instruments has vastly improved and I'm a more confident individual than I ever have been.
I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone for drum or percussion lessons!
Daniel is an excellent teacher - we worked together at a music school teaching several days a week with 10-15 students per day. He participated in rock band group classes, recitals, and different styles of learning with all ages on several instruments. Daniel is great with kids, building their confidence and going at their pace, and helping them to enjoy learning their instrument, not just mindlessly going through the motions. He is an experienced musician in and around town and is a great mentor and role model for young musicians. He is extremely talented and has a lot to share, with older musicians who are committed to going deeper into their craft as well as beginners. I highly recommend him!
I've been taking lessons with Alex for about a year. He is very good teacher. He will work with you on lesson times and payment .The half hour class is just right to show him what you learned from the last class and learn something new today. I've been a slow learner ,but he dose'nt mind. He helps me understand how to drum better with lot of different methods. Dean
I am a one man business. My prices are affordable if not negotiable! I'm young (19 to be exact) so I'm not very different from my younger students. I have taught before so I have experience and know what I'm in for.
I have been drumming for over 12 years. I started out with basic drumset material in 4th grade and have moved on to drum line in high school as well as playing in a touring band through college called Scenic. I have recorded a full album as well as a couple singles on iTunes and Spotify. I think I would be a great option for someone who wants to start learning as a beginner or intermediate play.
I am a music teacher. I can teach bass guitar, guitar, and drums.
I do not teach in a conventional way. I play music by ear. I will teach students whatever they want to learn to play, provided I am able to play it.
If the student is a beginner, then there are very few things I would not be able to teach them.
I'm a music teacher looking for students!
I teach drums/percussion, guitar, and music theory.
What makes my lessons special is that I make them as fun as possible.

My services stand out because of my professional experience. I have years of teaching privately and at the collegiate level specifically concentrating on Jazz drum set. In addition to my education experience I have also been a student and know what students need to learn. My teaching philosophy is simple, give the students what they want and and teach them in a way that works best for them. I also have years of professional performing experience in and around Kansas City.
