When I began lessons with Guy, I had little singing experience, but immediately felt at ease with his soft spoken, easy going personality and engaging teaching style. Guy is outstanding in every facet of his work. He excels at explaining intricate and difficult concepts in a way that makes sense to me, and is very kind and understanding when doing so. His own talent as a singer is second to none, and I have found his use of human anatomy in understanding the voice to be extremely helpful to my practice. I find my time with Guy to be very well spent, and I dare say he is the best voice teachers in New Orleans.
My daughter has been taking piano lessons from Ainsley for 2 years. She is an amazing instructor for young children. Not only does she have the knowledge to be a great instructor, but she is an awesome person. Ainsley is a perfect fit for us. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to have quality lessons.
My 11 year old is taking lessons from Sid and is having a great experience. Sid uses my son's outside interests to relate to the guitar lessons. This helps my son understand what and why he is learning. I really appreciate how Sid breaks down the techniques when my son is stuck. I would recommend Sid for anyone who wants to learn the guitar at any age!!
Dr. Kerry Alt is an amazing teacher. When I started taking lessons in October of 2014 I practically knew nothing about the classical guitar, especially in terms of technique and musicianship.Dr. Alt has put forth every possible effort to teach me. He finds ways to make the instrument more playable and more beautiful. He teaches with great clarity, always making the music the top priority. He truly cares about his students and knows how to train them to not only be guitar players, but musicians. As I write this review I am currently at the end of my freshman year in college for classical guitar with Dr. Alt. In a year and a half Dr. Alt brought me from being clueless on the classical guitar and not even being a student to playing Bach. If you are interested In taking up the classical guitar I sincerely recommend my teacher and friend, Dr. Kerry Alt.
Lyle is a natural teacher! He has an affinity for knowing the right ways to motivate and push his students to work outside their comfort zone in positive ways while still being able to know when it's time to just enjoy playing music. He's sensitive towards individual ways of learning. As someone who was classically trained in the Suzuki method from age 4-17, these are all wonderful qualities to have in a teacher. His enthusiasm and passion for music is infectious. Hands down one of the best teachers I've ever had!
because I taught myself and learned mainly by ear. I've also attended Southeastern University here in Hammond Louisiana. There I learned several techniques from classical guitar; this stretched my love for guitar and changed the way that I play. now I am in two bands that both play all originals consisting of acoustic jazz, blues, funk and hard rock. I can play anything in a few seconds just by hearing it. I can teach you the same.
I have been an actively studying/gigging musician for ten years in the New Orleans area. I am known for my musical versatility, groove ability, and my technical prowess on the guitar itself.
Outside of getting your chops on the instrument to a new level, I can teach you about music as a whole and how to fit in any situation as a guitarist.
In addition to teaching, I also do recording sessions and gigs for anyone who needs a guitarist for their own musical needs.
I provide music lessons for all ages and instruments.
My name is Ryan Bergeron. I teach theory and musicianship to students of any age, whether you are pursuing a career in live performance or looking to pick up a new hobby.
I also work one on one with you to develop a practice routine that works for your particular needs.
I teach primarily from the piano in order to give the student a clear understanding of the similarities in technical studies among all instruments.
So, bring whatever noise maker you can get your hands on, and let's jam.
