Introduction: Learn to play artistically from a degreed, experienced teacher. I have successfully taught all ages. I have taught private lessons at my private studio, at an elementary school, at a music conservatory, and in a group setting in the continuing education division of a university. My lessons are taught in an environment of sensitivity and patience, praise and encouragement, while a professioinal atmosphere is maintained. Interesting pieces promote a student's dedication. Music History is included in my teaching. Lessons include development of note reading, rhythm, theory, sight reading and musicianship. Technical development is included through performance of scales, chords, and arpeggios. Accuracy is taught through gentle corrections. A 20% discount is offered for your first two months of lessons. This will give you a chance to "give it a try", and to see if this is right for you. .

We used Elise’s Piano Studio for 9 years of outstanding piano instruction for my son. When he began at 7-years-old, he didn’t have any music or piano experience, but Mrs. Elise’s instruction grew him musically and also taught him discipline, focus, and confidence. Because of her expert teaching in theory, he has been able to pick up several instruments since then. Mrs. Elise is a true and natural teacher who is solid in her piano skill and theory; however, she is also extremely kind and makes nervous students feel comfortable and at ease. I cannot recommend Elise’s Piano Studio highly enough. Without our experience here, my son would not be where he is today- both musically, academically, and personally.

Elise is a patient and knowledgeable teacher. Although I have taken lessons previously, I now play at a more advanced level than before . whereas I did not understand rhythm , I now know a lot more on the subject .In general I have more confidence about my playing .

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Tuition is paid at the first lesson of each month, for the month in advanced. Tuition remains the same every month. Cancelled lessons can be made up at the teacher's discretion
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I find out if they've had previous experience in piano, what level they've played, and if they have a favorite type of pieces.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Music degree. Aside from my own private studio, I have taught private piano lessons at an elementary school and at a music conservatory. I have taught a group beginner adult class at UL, Lafayette.
