Holli put on an incredible experience for my family! 25 adults gathered in NOLA to celebrate our parents 60th anniversary. I chose Holli to be our private chef and to cook 3 major meals over the weekend we were in NOLA. She also bought groceries and wine and spirits and restocked the whole weekend. I chose Holli because I knew she would care about the quality of the event and would deliver a remarkable experience. The reviews about Holli demonstrated how professional she was and how she ensured that the event was a success. Holli and Tony did not disappoint. We had 3 incredible meals with the menus all offering the local cuisine. Her presentation of the meals was fantastic and we will remember this experience she provided to our family for a very long time.The caterer also had to please 25 adults all with different tastes. Well Holli blew everyone away with her phenonminal meals. We would hire Holli in a second if we needed her services again but we live in Canada so we won't be able to use her services unless we come back in the future. If you want a chef who will make your event a really special experience then I recommend you hire Holli. Thank you Holli!

She recently worked with me as my Wedding Planner and I could not have been more pleased with my dream wedding. She was there for me every step of the planning and began to know my tastes very quickly (which made our working together much easier). She is excellent with working with the vendors; keeps in contact with them as needed. I honestly did not have to worry about anything! Her decorating skills are exceptional and she has great ideas to save money... I wanted to take a week or two before putting my thoughts down, to clear away the wedding-high and simply be able to focus on doing justice to this amazing lady! We got married on February 18th, 2017. What I have come to realize, is that I can't possibly express the utmost satisfaction and joy that Casey brought to our lives. Finding Casey was an absolute fluke. We knew that we wanted to elope to NOLA, but given neither of us had ever been there, I was at a loss on how to plan our perfect day. In utter frustration one night, I Googled "wedding planners NOLA" and Thumbtack popped up. I had never even heard of this website, let alone the fact that I don't trust a lot of online sites that I am not familiar with. I figured I had nothing to lose and completed the initial questionnaire. Casey responded right away and the first thing that caught my attention was her profile pick. Absurd, I am sure you are thinking, but she just seemed lovely. She had a professional and yet relaxed appearance and I instantly thought, this could work. She provided me with her initial information and what she could do for me. Still not convinced, I messaged her back and gave her a bit more information about what we were thinking. Casey immediately started giving me options, ideas, locations, direction... and I hadn't even hired her yet! My fiance and I debated her price and whether we wanted to extend the extra money that we hadn't budgeted for. In the end, I knew I needed that hands-on approach and knowledge that Casey could provide and we took the plunge. Best. Decision. Ever! Casey quickly got to work and started sending me venue options. She knew our budget and not once did she stray from that number. She found us every possible deal/break/discount and even bartered on our behalf. I am sure this woman spent hours travelling around to give us every option available, including photos! She also scoured AirBNB and provided us with several options for places to stay. She recommended services for hair and make-up, florists, where to have our wedding meal, and photographers. Every single service that I booked was on her recommendation. Each service was performed flawlessly, professionally and absolutely met my expectations. I can't even fathom the amount of time and effort Casey put into planning our day. Not only was Casey and amazing Wedding Planner, she became our decorator (she even hand made my bouquet using artificial flowers so I could bring it home with me), our event planner (provided a 17 page PDF with a list of absolutely everything to see and do in NOLA), our wedding officiant (as we are not religious people and she is ordained to perform ceremonies, she wrote and performed a ceremony completely tailored to us!), our driver (her and her husband got us back to where we were staying after the ceremony... which took 2 hours given the traffic/people in town for Mardi Gras and the NBA All-Star Game!) and even a personal counselor. I was struggling with personal issues and when I happened to mention this to Casey she extended the invite to call her at any time, to discuss wedding issues or anything else I was struggling with. This was so far beyond the scope of what we had hired her for. Who does all of that?!? Casey does. Casey wrote an amazing ceremony for us... she listened to everything that we told her and custom tailored the ceremony to suit who we are and our story. She didn't just write "about us", she got to know us and understand who we are as a couple. It was truly unbelievable. I could go on and on... as these are just a few of the things that Casey did. I really can not say enough about this amazing woman. She is truly one of a kind and is the most thoughtful, considerate, caring and honest individual I have met in a really long time. You would be blessed to have Casey working with you on the most important day of your lives. Take a chance on her, because I guarantee she will not disappoint. Casey... from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you. You made our special day even more so by having you and Ed there. We literally could not have done this without you and you will forever hold a special place in our hearts. NOLA has not seen the last of us and we can't wait to come back and hopefully sit down for drinks to celebrate all that you did for us!
Christy Romano with R&R Event Specialists was the day of wedding coordinator for my wedding, November 5, 2016. Our wedding was in New Orleans and our venue had a very helpful onsite coordinator. However, two weeks prior to the wedding I panicked and was concerned that we needed additional day of support. I found Christy via Thumbtack. Her quick reply and eagerness to communicate with me was very refreshing. After speaking to her on the phone and going through our vision for the wedding with her, I felt instantly better (and that was just over the phone!) We made a quick decision to hire her and I can honestly say, it was one of the best wedding planning decisions that I made! Within the week, I sent, at Christy’s request, a day of timeline, pictures of our décor and how I envisioned it being laid out, a list of special people at the wedding, bridal party, etc. Her amazing communication skills and want for detailed information were definitely a plus and helped relax me in the week leading up to the big day. Christy met with myself, our venue coordinator, my mother and my groom the morning before the wedding. We had a sit down meeting onsite and went through our entire comprehensive timeline. We did a walkthrough of the venue and made our expectations and needs clear. Christy was on the ball and had great questions about things we hadn’t even considered, as well as suggestions. She was even thoughtful enough to bring me a bridal emergency kit for the next day. The day of the wedding went exactly as I had hoped. Once Christy arrived, I spent 20 minutes with her getting her everything she would need for decorating. After that, I was left to enjoy the morning drinking champagne and getting ready with my bridesmaids and family. Christy periodically checked in throughout the day to see if we needed anything and did a great job coordinating with our arriving vendors, so that myself or my mother didn’t have to. Our day was stressfree and just what I had hoped for. She helped to keep us on schedule (which was a bit tricky as we had many activities throughout the day: Firsty look, family photos, bridal party photos, bridals, cocktail hour, second line, reception, etc – all of which required movement around the French Quarter). And followed our detailed timeline to the letter (we had some décor transitions we wanted done during our Second Line and they went perfectly). During the wedding itself, Christy was there when I needed her and made herself very available to myself, my groom and my mother. We had Christy stay 30 minutes until after the end of our reception to complete the breakdown of wedding. This allowed all of my family to transition easily to the after party bar we had chosen without having to do any cleanup. The biggest surprise we had was our arrival to our bridal suite after the wedding. Christy decorated our suite beautifully. Our suite was filled with flowers , our 2nd line umbrellas, candles, etc. She even had copies of our vows placed out for us. She left us a ton of cake and leftovers (which of course we devoured immediately). How she had the time to perfect all the details in our suite and throughout the wedding, I will never know. She greatly exceeded our expectations and I would 100% recommend her for any event coordination. Christy is professional, thoughtful and excellent at her job. My fiancé and I a vision for our wedding, but I let Christy use her creative skills to execute, and she did it fantastically! Hiring R&R Event Specialists for your wedding is a must do!
Matoki Joseph is one of the most buttoned down, creative and organized event planners that I've ever worked with. I've attended several of the events that Matoki's produced in New Orleans and each had great attention to detail, in personalizing the event for the guest of honor. Matoki is also an amazing chef and caterer! I've had her bowtie crawfish etouffe at both events and I look forward to the next time she cooks some up for her next event. I highly recommend M2 Special Events for all occasions big and small!
Jacqueline did an incredible job as our "day-of planner." We were so impressed by her professionalism and her determination to make sure our wedding was a success. She ran our ceremony rehearsal expertly, and went to great ends to prepare our wedding party, coordinate vendors, and even bribe a barbecue party that had set up too close to our venue to change locations :) we will cherish the memories that she made possible. I highly recommend her services as a wedding planner.
