I have tried so many different trainers and gyms in hopes of finding a place that worked for my weight loss goals. Everywhere I went felt very cookie cutter and I ended up feeling defeated at my lack of results, but Stephen Cabral Studio was different because they focused on my individual needs. My trainer and I had a consultation and we discussed my health history, nutrition and training history. Julia gave me a program to jump start my weight loss that encompassed a nutrition guide and workouts. In the first 3 weeks I lost 12 pounds! The best part is my trainer was always available to answer questions, check in and keep me motivated. - How did you get started doing this type of work?Many of team members got into the health & fitness industry after struggling when they were young with weight or health issues themselves. To be able to overcome those issues and then share their knowledge with others is truly rewarding in itself.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Make sure to see if there is a well constructed plan in palce to get you the resutls you want, or if the personal trainer is just going to "work you out." Workouts don't get results - programs do.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?Not all personal trainers are created equal. It's the same for lawyers, accountants, hairdressers, etc. I would recommend taking advantage of a complimentary consultation to ensure you and your fitness professional are a good match for each other. Make sure that personal trainer does this full-time and is not just their hobby, and ask what else comes with the program beyond your "workouts."
