Guitar Lessons : I had a good experience with Andy. I had to stop lessons for a long out of town trip. Plan on starting back in the spring 2014. I had a mixed bag of guitar skills and he was able to focus on what I needed to learn and show me how to do it. Thanks

I've been taking guitar lessons at Page Music for over two years. They've do a great job of tailoring the instruction to my interests, abilitiy and available time as a working adult. The instructors that I have dealt have been skilled and very personable. In addition, they offer monthly jam supervised jam sessions for groups of students at several different ability levels. These are a blast. The general atmosphere is structured enough to provide a challenge, but low key and pressure free. I would highly recommend both the private lessons and jam sessions to any adult looking to begin or resume music lessons.

Johnny is an excellent cello teacher and a phenomenally skilled cellist! He is very thoughtful and pays close attention to the student's technique for both fingering and bowing. Johnny gives great anecdotes and analogies to illustrate how to think about playing a certain song or bow strokes for a certain section, for example. He is fun and patient and readily adapts to what the student needs. I highly recommend Johnny as a cello teacher, for cello students of all levels!

My 11 y.o. daughter has been taking cello lessons with Tim for the past 2 months. Tim has a great energy and enthusiasm for teaching music. He is a lot of fun, has a very positive, upbeat attitude, but also great feedback about improving technique that “clicks” with my daughter. His passion is contagious- we recommend Tim highly!

My son started taking cello lessons with Elena when he was 9. He has progress from being a complete novice to being able to play Vivaldi's Cello Concerto in C Major in just over a year. She emphasizes good posture and hand positions, which are very important to building long term success. Elena has a very calm and patient teaching style. She is an active cello performing artist herself, so she can demonstrate the technique or musicality during the lesson to make it easier for my son to follow. I highly recommend her!

I've know Elisa for seven years when we met at Yale School of Music. She is very passionate about teaching and all her students have come along way since they started taking lessons with her. She really knows how to adjust to every student and to bring the best out of them. Her commitment to music is unique and her sensitivity and musicianship makes her an outstanding cellist and musician. I recommend her tremendously.

Penny has been teaching violin to my sons since the last past 2 years. She is an awesome teacher who is patient and really connects well with kids. We started our sons on violin to "try-it-out" not wanting to invest too heavily into some high-priced equipment or high-pressure. Penny has been the perfect choice, she is patient and really connects with the kids to make music easy to learn and enjoyable. Our eight-year old really looks forward to the music lessons and has been enjoying playing violin since the beginning. Penny also holds recitals for her students, and our sons were very excited about performing in public. It is definitely a great exercise. Penny is committed and passionate about what she does and works at the students' pace to make music fun. I really recommend Penny as a music teacher!

Eden is great!! I have no experience with music whatsoever and Eden has been extremely patient with me throughout the whole learning process. Here is a list of some things I think stand out about Eden's lessons. - She accompanied me to the instrument store to pick out a good cello to rent - flexible lesson scheduling and times, she also confirms all lessons by text the day before - emphasis on good technique and ear training although I am a beginning cello student, I believe that Eden has a lot to offer to students of any level

Joe is a wonderful teacher. My son, Nathan, has had a few different cello instructors but Joe's enthusiasm and method of teaching made him really love the instrument. What sets Joe apart from other teachers is that he is able to identify where Nathan's playing can use the most improvement and give specific direction to ensure Nathan knows exactly what to focus on in between lessons. This has given Nathan the confidence to practice more on his own and he often can't stop talking about the great improvements he's recently made! I highly recommend Joe to any young cellist, beginner or advanced. He is always very professional and easy to work with, I really enjoy sitting in on the lessons each week. -Lisa S.

Taking cello lessons from Vela was an amazing experience that has completely improved my cello playing. She's very knowledgeable about technique and has a plethora of exercises to hone skills that were invaluable to me. Vela's also just a great teacher who is very patient and will challenge but not overwhelm you. She always had fun new pieces for me to play and taking lessons from her really enhanced my musicianship. I would highly recommend her to a cellist at any level who wants to explore and refine their abilities.
