Introduction: Greetings, and thank you for stopping by! Since the age of two, I've been dancing nearly 6 days a week, in every form of dance (ballet, lyrical, contemporary, modern, jazz, tap, and pointe). I've been blessed with a gift for teaching even the most reluctant of student, having been a middle school English teacher for 18 years now, and I guarantee I can make you not only dance but also appreciate its beauty and the music related to it. To me, the best part about dancing is while you are in the moment, you haven't a care in the world; it truly is a wonderful therapeutic experience, and I encourage everyone to give it a try at least once in his/her life. While I do not expect perfection, I am very disciplined and while I will definitely make you laugh and enjoy yourself, you will also learn, and when is learning bad? As mentioned before, I started at two, which now gives me nearly 38 years of experience in the field. I have competed and taught around the globe, most recently working to open a dance company with the Shanghai public school system (I lived there for a year to help set up the program). I have placed in the top five in international world-level competitions as well as locations such as Lincoln Center, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Sicily, Italy and most recently Suzhou, China. More importantly, my students have gone on to be Broadway performers, even a Rockette! But, it's the students who just want to learn for the sake of exercise, fun, and trying something new that I find most invigorating, and I hope you will consider meeting with me to discuss how my talents may be of service to you.
