Introduction: In regards to my younger clients, I have 5 children from the ages of 14 - 20 years. They all play instruments, and express themselves in various forms of the arts. They are highly intelligent and amazing youth. As I have raised them as individuals and taught them according to their likes and skill levels, I have extensive experience of how children and young adults grow in their understanding and confidence with singing, performing, and learning instruments.
With the older adult population, I understand pursuing new skills with the Adult mind as I was a singer and performer for 30 years starting as a child in a family band, I learned music by ear first, and was a self taught pianist. It wasn't until my later adult years that I got my music degree because it was a true passion of the heart. I do what I do because I love it and find that it brings live and vitality to all persons no matter the age, ethnicity, and status in life. Also, I do this job so that I might fund a greater vision for my Kids, colleagues, and community. Twenty five percent of each monthly payment goes towards funding my non-profit organization filling the gap of music and the arts in the city of Haverhill MA.
There is not one single soul exactly like another, and only that person can tell their story, sing their song, or write that music. For every customer, there's a brand new story that's being told and I get to be apart of it. There is simply no greater reward.
Every individual that I have taught has had a personal goal, no matter if it 's to improve oneself, perform at an event, prepare for a reality talent show, sing in church, or just try something new. No matter the goal, each one has lit up with excitement and expectation as they see themselves doing things that they didn't realize they could do. Helping someone find their voice and see themselves in a new light gives me so much delight. Everyone is on their own journey, and I'm just proud to be apart of it, no matter the time span or matter of importance. Each individual is important to me.
