Anita's class is great and perfect for a beginner like myself. Has helped me greatly with my recovery from back surgery. Highly recommended for anyone with mobility problems. My surgeons are thrilled I'm taking yoga. And it's also enjoyable

I needed someone to help me with pain in my neck and shoulders that I have had for years. I tried everything to rid the pain so upon talking with a friend of mine it was recommended that I go see Bonni at HeartnSoul Yoga and Wellness. Bonni is a yoga therapist that performs body work to relieve pain and align peoples body structure. I made an appointment and met with bonni whom is very professional and well qualified/trained in her field. We discussed the various pain issues I have had with my body, particularly my neck and shoulders. After Bonni worked on my neck and shoulder area I could not believe that the work she performed released something in my neck/shoulder area and I regained full range of motion in my neck and my shoulders were pain free after so many months of suffering daily with pain/stiffness. I don't know what she did or how she did it but it was the relief I was seeking for over a year. The whole experience was enjoyable and spiritual. Without hesitation, I highly recommend that anyone looking for an assessment of their body alignment and/or relieving stiffness/pain in specific body areas that they contact Bonni right away and enjoy the experience of gaining full range and use of your body.

Cherryl is an amazing teacher! I have studying power yoga with her for three months now. I really like the way she comes up to me showing physically where the pose needs to be, also touching where it needs to be adjusted. I always feel great and refreshing when I leave her practice, she can definitely make you break a sweat! Thanks for everything you really have improved my quality of life.

Hannah is an incredible yoga teacher. She is inspiring, compassionate, and wise. Her innate capacity to care for each of her students and herself shines in her yoga classes. I wish I lived closer to Hannah so I could attend her classes as often as possible. She raises my vibration, reminds me of my power, and creates a magical space for her students to grow and transform. She also provides a thorough practice...working with the energy of each unique group, she guides students through poses that give attention to all important parts of the body, and her class leaves the body relaxed, strengthened, and balanced. I highly recommend her as a teacher.

After taking her classes, I've been able to implement mindfulness best practices into my daily life and have noticed a definite reduction in my anxiety. She also taught me a series of yoga postures that I now do every morning - what a great start to the day! I would highly recommend Sally to other thumbtack users - thanks so much Sally!

Being part of the "not-so-young" and "new-to-yoga" club, I find Cate's teaching style to be extremely helpful, encouraging, supportive and down-to-earth. Cate focuses on positive messages and practicing safely within your own physical limitations by modifying and adjusting poses to your needs. Cate makes you realize that Yoga is truly for everyone and all are welcome!

Cassandra's Restorative Yoga class allowed me to reduce stress through well explained held postures that enabled my body and mind to completely relax. She stimulated the senses with aromatic essential oils that provided a synergistic effect. It was an amazing experience that I would highly recommend to everyone! At the end of class she gave each student a beautifully wrapped gift of dark chocolate and a sample of essential oil. I left feeling refreshed, peaceful and rested!!! :)

      About

EssentialYoga Studio offers the following: * ‘all levels’ classes * private Reiki sessions * specialized private sessions * corporate wellness programs * continuing education for registered yoga teachers Classes are based on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. His techniques, known as Iyengar Yoga, have helped practitioners achieve perfection in any pose. Iyengar Yoga practitioners hold every pose for a longer amount of time, and props, such as blankets, straps, and wooden blocks, are often used in classes. This type of yoga is well-known for its attention to body alignment.

      About

My classes focus on working to be present, both emotionally and physically. My classes are influenced by traditional hatha practice that incorporates invitational language and options for modifications and personal choice. Through an intentionally and thoughtfully sequenced class, I work to guide students to link body and breath to clear the mind while elongating, strengthening, and opening the physical body. One of my favorite parts about teaching is to help students as their practice evolves. There is always room to take a pose to the next level or to take a step back and explore the foundation of a pose. I hope to create an environment that offers support, safety, and an invitation to create self-compassion. I teach hatha, vinyasa, yin, restoratives, and therapeutics for all levels.

      About

Yoga is offered for all ages, levels, lifestyles and bodies! Custom and unique yoga practices tailored to the needs of individual students. With a strong focus on alignment and hands-on adjustments, Lauren creates fresh and exciting sequences that will invigorate the spirit. Borrowing elements from Tai Chi, Budokon, Pilates and various yogic disciplines, Lauren can accommodate any level of athleticism, strength and flexibility. Anyone can practice yoga; all that is required is to step on the mat and open the mind. Class styles include: * Hatha Yoga This is a slower and more traditional approach. Postures are sustained while the focus remains on alignment and breath. This is a great start for beginners and yet still challenging for veteran yogins who want to improve postural alignment. * Power Yoga It is fantastic for building strength, focus and balance. With more time spent on the standing series, students will be challenged both physically and mentally as the core gets a serious workout with Power Yoga. * Vinyasa Flow For any level, Vinyasa flow classes are dynamic and movement oriented. It includes dance from one Asana to another and move with the breath. * Yogalates This is a yoga and Pilates fusion that is great for increasing core strength and toning glutes and thighs. Classes usually start with a standing series of yoga postures and continue with Pilates style floor work. * Restorative Yoga It is a gentle practice perfect for anyone yearning to slow down and relax. Restorative yoga is also highly beneficial for those recovering from injury or suffering from chronic pain. The majority of the practice is done in a supine position with the body supported by props such as blocks, bolsters and blankets. * Prenatal Yoga It helps you connect with your baby, continue to strengthen the body and relax the mind. Prenatal classes are meant to help ease anxiety about delivery, relieve tension in the body, and help mom and baby bond. Prenatal yoga is suited for any level and all trimesters. * Yoga for Hockey players Designed specifically for men who play hockey, Lauren’s yoga for hockey players series targets tightness that results from the love of the game. This series will increase balance, focus, stamina and stability both on the mat and on the ice. Specific attention is given to shoulders, hips and groins, increasing range of movement and strength in these areas, and making them less prone to injury. * Corporate Yoga
