I have been a Kripalu Certified Yoga Teacher since 2002 and I don't often take other teachers' classes as I have lower back issues and found that most teachers do not do enough warm ups for me. However, I saw the listing for Bonni's class and was drawn to it. In the class, I noticed how she was in tune with the students and tailored it to meet our needs. The class ended with a little Thai massage before savasana. This was so yummy I decided to get a 90 minute Thai massage. We've since done Thai massage, structural integration, and a little chakra work. I really like that Bonni has so many different modalities. Highly recommended.
Cheryl is an exceptional teacher who loves what she does. Her classes are always interesting, varied, and paced so students get results. I have had many yoga teachers. By far, Cheryl is the best trainer and educator I have had. She takes the time to explain what the breath and forms do for the body and why we should do them not just how. She is attentive to the wide range of strengths and challenges of each student and protects us from ourselves, reminding us not to push for 100% of each pose. When I started with Cheryl two years ago, I had a very bad back and very tight muscles. My strength, flexibility, and balance are vastly improved. I am very loyal to her classes because they are the reason for my improved well-being.
Hannah is an incredible yoga teacher. She is inspiring, compassionate, and wise. Her innate capacity to care for each of her students and herself shines in her yoga classes. I wish I lived closer to Hannah so I could attend her classes as often as possible. She raises my vibration, reminds me of my power, and creates a magical space for her students to grow and transform. She also provides a thorough practice...working with the energy of each unique group, she guides students through poses that give attention to all important parts of the body, and her class leaves the body relaxed, strengthened, and balanced. I highly recommend her as a teacher.
Mach Evolution is amazing! Their personal training is top notch, and their yoga classes are so great! I have also done meditation classes with Mike and they are life changing! I recommend Mach Evolution to anyone who wants to improve their well being!
Zeffa Kinney contributed to a radio show I produce for Senior Citizens in Boston as a guest. As a host for this show, I thought it was one of the most successful and popular among listeners (I received a lot of positive feedback). Discussing mindfulness is relevant for any person no matter what age, but she was an expert at targeting her manifesto directly to our audience (older adults). I have no doubt she can tailor workshops to any individual or community need. Zeffa is masterful at recognizing how working towards shifting perspective can dramatically improve our relationships and collaborations with others. We can be enlightened when we're alone, she says, but can be completely mindless when in company with others. Her focus is less on shimmering theories, but more so on empowering people with tools they can begin putting into practice immediately. Rather than relying only on contemplative practices like meditation, she emphasizes that the simple act of practicing 'noticing new things,' strengthens control over where we put our attention in every moment throughout our day. Chavi is an amazing meditation teacher and a divine human being. I attended her first meditation class in Cambridge and immediately knew that she was the real deal. Over the course of the next year or so my meditation practice grew and blossomed in such deep and beautiful ways I couldn't even have imagined. Chavi's gentle meditation guidance and discussions after meditation are very helpful and help bring a deeper level of understanding. I moved South for work and miss her very much. I still use her meditation techniques and am so grateful for her.
Cathy is an incredible yoga teacher! She remembers everyone's trouble areas/weaknesses and accommodates all levels of yoga. You will feel comfortable in class and amazing during and after! I highly recommend this studio regardless of how familiar you are with yoga :)
I've practiced with Tim at the Broga studio in Somerville and attended a retreat where he held guided meditations. His classes were consistently amazing. The right blend of functional fitness and traditional yoga. He watches his students and makes the proper adjustments when needed and helps tailor the class for his students. He's starting a new morning class and I will actually rearrange my work schedule just to be able to catch that class.
Tai chi classes. I have learned a lot in Linda's classes about the body/mind connection. She is an excellent teacher, who brings her experience from her studies in mindfulness, tai chi, chi gong, dance, mime, and many other venues into her teaching. She has a teaching style of gentle acceptance and brings playfulness and humor into her classes.
Sally is sincere and compassionate in her meditation teaching. She is keenly aware and sensitive. I felt a sense of relief and ease after my sessions. The gentle yoga was enough for me to stretch and loosen up. I highly recommend Sally for this work.

I was very fortunate to hear about Steve from my yoga teacher. Steve is a true healer. I came to him with back discomfort and emotional pain. I came out of his office feeling light as a snowflake, physically and spiritually. This session has given me a burst of energy I needed to get over a difficult moment in life. Ever since Steve helped me, I've felt more aware of imbalances in my posture. I feel a muscle relieve and a calmer breath when I just remember his healing touch. I will definitely treat myself to his services again.

I think my work stands out because of my further education and training in yoga therapy, stress management and resiliency. Searching for oneness with my profession and my passion, I began exploring ways to bring my yoga knowledge to my work in Human Resources. On a daily basis, I observed the ill effects of stress on colleagues and the employees I supported. I felt inspired to learn and share techniques to promote well-being and transform stress. Guided by this intention to serve, I discovered yoga therapy training as a way to deepen my understanding of yoga and gain new insights about whole person health. My training with Massachusetts General Hospital furthered my understanding of meditation and relaxation techniques that have been validated by scientific research to reduce stress and promote resiliency. Some people want to know there is evidence to demonstrate the effectiveness. Others know from their own personal experience. Either way, it works!
