Excellent at providing some initial music theory and knowledge that allows anyone to immediately pick up and play! It was also really helpful that he was flexible with time and location. I had a great time learning and feeling like I could play. Thanks Otis!
I write as an adult student returning to piano lessons after many years. I could not have selected a more perfect piano teacher than Melissa. Her teaching strategies, encouragement and humor make the learning experience rewarding. Lessons are paced according to individual learning styles. In place of recitals she hosts 'piano socials', which have created a wonderful community among students. What we have in common regardless of individual proficiency is a love for our music lessons and how the piano has enriched our lives. The combination of Melissa's piano teaching expertise and genuine caring for her students is unparalleled in my experience. Karen O'Connor

Solid Rock Worship guitar lessons started as an outreach/vision, involving skilled members of a music ministry team consisting of 4 guitar players, 1 bass player, drummers and percussionists, piano, keyboards, and background vocals. The vision was to develop a set of reference material related to music theory and how it pertains to worship in various styles such as contemporary Christian rock, gospel, jazz, etc. The vision was then put into action, starting with a set of instructional material for guitar, then followed by monthly workshops held at a local church. The workshops were basically designed as a forum for developed musicians to review theory and discuss their views and knowledge. The workshops included activities, as well as ways to challenge musicians to learn and apply the theory that was discussed. From these workshops, we started to open up a schedule for private guitar lessons. These lessons are designed to be 30 minutes long at the rate of $15.00/30 minutes. If you are a local in the Massachusetts, USA - Bristol County area and would like to know more information on our instructional music lessons, contact us using our email listing.
