She is a really good piano teacher because she points out my mistakes so I can get better at my playing. Han Nah is always there on time. When I am weak in one part of my music, such as rhythm, we focus on it so I can improve. When we have class, I play the piece that I was supposed to play for homework, and then I usually learn a new piano piece, but I also do technique, such as scales and theory, for example identifying notes. I have a practice chart that I check off each time I practice, and I usually get two piano pieces for homework, and a little theory. Sometimes I also have to listen to music, such as by Bach or Beethoven. Han Nah is always very happy, and she teaches me a lot during the lesson. She's really good at explaining terms to me when I don't understand them so that I can remember them. I feel like I always want to go to my piano lesson, even if I didn't understand something for the homework. "See more

The chord-based learning method really clicked for me. Learning songs through chords made everything connect. I started seeing how melodies fit inside harmony, and it made it way easier to learn new songs and play by ear. My ear has definitely improved a lot; I can pick up songs faster and understand what I’m hearing now. I honestly feel like a better musician than I was a few months ago, with a much stronger grasp of music theory and how it all works. The group lessons have been great too.
