Maureen’s presence and guidance took me from quagmire to ease. My home was a wreck after an apartment building fire left my place doused and soggy from the sprinkler system - piles and piles and my brain in a fog. Maureen cleared the way: she created a calm, grounded vibe that allowed me to just roll with her efficient directions. She broke things down with a mind toward recycling and donating to refugee families to ensure stuff didn’t just end up as waste- and also was gentle and decisive when stuff just needed to be dumped. And she moved big boxes with me, hung clothes and motored through until I could see the floor and walls again. Two visits later and I was able to move back into my home. Brilliant brilliant support.

I loved my experience working with Maureen. She was very responsive when I initially reached out and was able to accommodate my schedule. She was fun and enthusiastic while helping me organize, and she made it easier for me to purge unnecessary items from my life! If I had done it on my own I would have stopped before completing the task but her energy level helped me finish the project. She was able to find my items new homes which is a great feeling. I would work with Maureen again in a heartbeat.

Maureen was so worth it for our apartment. We had way too much accumulated stuff in every drawer, cabinet and closet available. In one afternoon she had the coat closet organized, all the kitchen cabinets sorted and neat, and our living room drawers organized. She doesn’t just clean but also makes suggestions about how to sort things for more efficient use of space (summer stuff here, coffee station here, holiday stuff in the back, etc). She also took so much stuff we have been meaning to donate and she gives them to good causes instead of just trashing them.

Maureen helped me significantly. As I was emerging out of the baby equipment years I had been throwing outgrown or unwanted items in my attic. My parents offered to hire me a personal organizer as a birthday gift and it was the best gift idea ever! Maureen did a phone consultation and guided me towards focusing on this one area in my house. She told me how to prepare. I got rid of as much as I could on my own, I grouped items together, I bought large clear Tupperware containers. The day of our meeting, I emptied my house of children and for 3 hours we hammered through my attic. One of my problems was not wanting to waste or fill trash with items that could be useful to others. She is a book of knowledge in terms of local resources and who will accept donations. She taught me about textiles, and what to do with old laptops/cords. She also was willing to take things away for me… like the multiple porcelain dolls people kept giving to my daughters (that they were afraid of) but I felt too guilty to throw away. She told me how to post things online so I wouldn’t be a harassed by constant back and forth dialogue. Maureen is comfortable to spend time with, she gives tips but also keeps dialogue to a minimum so it’s not overwhelming. Maureen works the entire time she is present, getting things moved to show progress. She repeatedly refocused me onto the next task at hand when I felt overwhelmed and fell off track. After our 3 hour session I was able to see the potential of the attic. After she left I was able to move the remaining Tupperware’s out of the space and with the help of a contracted finish the space to create an entire extra floor for my family to use. My attic is now a dressing area and guest room. There is no clutter and no need for storage. Thank you Maureen for helping me see the potential by emptying the space!
