The String Mistress
I have been teaching stringed instruments privately for the past 7 years, but just recently opened up my own studio location. It has been a dream of mine for years to open a studio location. Last year, the school that I had been working for cut my position as 4th Grade Orchestra Director from their program. I decided that it was the right time to open up a studio location and expand my business.
Sylvia Thayer runs Vivo Strings, a music studio that offers individual and group classes on violin, viola, bass, and even piano. Her usual clients are school age students and some adults. She believes that it is her job as an educator to offer performance opportunities as well as direct instruction.
I believe that honest and frequent communication as well as mutual respect help to foster any working relationship. I strive to keep parents in the loop about all aspects of a student's progress. My teaching style tailors to each students needs and abilities as well as parent expectations. I also offer frequent opportunities for students to perform for each other, families, and the community.
Sylvia recalls her favorite project to date was the event on Grafton celebrating the holidays, where several of her students performed for some parts of the establishment. Her students had so much fun showcasing their skills and talents. Seeing her students happy and contented also made Sylvia very pleased.
Make learning music fun and engaging as well as valuable for all levels and ages of students. Enroll now with Sylvia Thayer, an experienced and highly qualified private instructor who loves teaching and performing.
