Mr Wilson is tutoring my son in singing. He explains technique very well, and is patient, kind and encouraging. Mr Wilson lets my son pick the music he likes and keeps changing it to prevent boredom, but is consistent with various types of music. There are no complaints, he seems very experienced but still teaches in a fresh way.

I am very happy to make a recommendation of Stanley Wilson as a voice teacher.
My daughter has been taking weekly lessons with Stanley for over 3 years. Stanley has been an excellent teacher to her. She started from 7th grade when she really loved singing but was too shy to sing. But with coaching, and many practices, rehearsals and recitals, she developed her voice and strong confidence within one semester. Now she sings often, which is what she loves to do and I love to hear. As Stanley's student, she participates in events of A Worcester Schubertiad, a chamber music organization that Stanley leads, which is great for her.
I too have been taking lessons with Stanley for over a year. Class time is distributed between techniques and practicing an actual piece. I am learning many techniques that help me improving and enjoying my singing. I like to think that my voice has developed substantially over the year.
Stanley's students range from professional singers, to choir members, to recreational singers like myself, from middle school to retirement. While he is an accomplished vocal artist in classical singing and opera, he helps develop vocal techniques for students in diverse singing genres. Because Stanley is flexible in his approach, a new student should feel comfortable starting with him.
What should also help is that Stanley is punctual and very professional in managing his teaching schedule. As importantly, his studio is located in an excellent location in Worcester where parking is never an issue.
I have benefitted from and enjoyed my learning experience, and I highly recommend Stanley as a vocal teacher.

Stanley offers excellent practical theory that ties in well with performance. He clarifies singing range with crystal clear imagery and techniques. He helps you sing to your potential. So far we are very happy.

I studied with Stanley Wilson for many years and because of him I was accepted to one of the world's greatest conservatories, The Eastman School of Music. Mr. Wilson has the exceptional skill of pinpointing exactly where technique could be improved and how to correct the errors. It is because of Mr. Wilson that I won the Hal Leonard Art Song Competition (3rd place), American Prize Competition (3rd place), and Opera Worcester Voice Competition (1st place). He also influenced me to audition for the Tanglewood Festival Choir, the All-National Honors Choir, and Boston University Tanglewood Institute.
