Chef Kev was totally awesome. He checked in every now and again without being too bothersome and was always available when I needed to chat. Extremely responsive over text message. The event he was catering for me was a surprise for my girlfriend (now my fiance!) and Kev was unbelievably careful about keeping it a surprise. Always checked in before he texted me. The food itself was great. Wide range of flavors - tasty without being unhealthy. I changed the menu about a million times and Chef Kev was really helpful each time. I decided to go with an all-vegetarian menu in the end and it went great. If I had to cater an event ever again, I wouldn't think twice before going back to Chef Kev!
He catered my 40th birthday party , the food was great and the presentation was first class! Daniel is very maticulous and has such a passion for cooking . I would highly recommend him for any catering event , big or small.
I attended two cooking classes ( light Mexican and healthy grains) taught by Chris & Emily at the William Tally Rec Center. I highly recommend these classes. They were very informational and Chris &Emily are full of cooking knowledge which they share. We made several recipes and sampled our finished dishes. After the Mexican class, I promptly purchased a tortilla press. It is so easy to make your own corn tortillas. I would have never tried it on my own. Lori
5 men in a small kitchen ..... and Jackie: a great time had by all including the food. The prep, the cooking, the eating. Jackie answered our questions with aplomb and insight and guided us all to a successful afternoon of good food and conversation. I am considered a good cook by friends [ok, and myself as well] and I left for home being very satisfied with the affair not only because of the company, the cooking experience and the eating, but because I learned a lot from Jackie due to her knowledge and very importantly, her attitude and grace. --- Recommended.

Scott is fantastic and continually goes above and beyond. We planned our 25 person wedding weekend entirely from out of town, and couldn't have done it without Scott. From our first emails and Skype conversations, Scott made us feel heard and cared for -- something we definitely did not feel from the other four chefs we met with. He provided clear menu options and helped tailor the perfect selections, including accommodating our halal and vegetarian guests. Months later, our guests are still raving about the meal Scott prepared and entire experience he delivered. Beyond catering the evening, Scott and his team helped us evaluate the venue, find and acquire the linens & place settings, pick out & deliver flowers, and purchase food for the rest of the weekend. We highly recommend Scott as both a chef and as a trusted advisor with a big heart.
I had Chef Danielle come into my home for a cooking lesson/dinner party for my husband's 40th birthday party. She arrived on time 1/2 hour before the class would start to set up and was there for about 4 hours. It was really easy working the menu and I was happy with the menu options she presented me and the ability to make more then one entre to satisfy the tastes of all the members of the group (8 adults). We all had a blast from those that cook on the regular, to those of us (me) that don't ever cook. I was expecting my kitchen to look like a total disaster after having had 8 adults cooking in my kitchen, but she cleaned up everything! The food was fantastic and I had left overs that we enjoyed days later. Thanks for a great time Chef Danielle!
Chef Matt is absolutely amazing! I have been using his personal chef services and I can honestly say that he has been a blessing in our life. I first learned about Chef Matt on an online community of moms in Old Town, Alexandria. Because I had a small baby and no time to cook, I decided to order our Thanksgiving meal from him. I was so happy I did – the food was absolutely fantastic and everyone at the dinner table raved about it. In fact, it was the best Thanksgiving meal that I have ever had. Since then I have been ordering from him on a regular basis. Chef Matt’s food is fresh, healthy and out-of-this-world delicious. His recipes are very diverse and incorporate a lot of international influences, which I love. Everyone in my home is so excited when we get the food from Chef Matt. I wish I knew about him long time ago, especially after we had our baby and struggled with finding the time to cook. I know that he teaches cooking classes and I hope that one day I will have the opportunity to learn how to cook amazing food directly from Chef Matt. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for personal chef services!
I used Healthy Catering Co. to host a dinner party for 8 guests after a recommendation from my coworker. I loved loved loved the variety as far as vegetarian dishes. It was a breeze to call in advance and schedule my dinner party. Nasrin was very attentive and helpful about explaining the various foods. My only wish is that I had a big enough stomach to enjoy all the delicious dishes.

Chef Eric Adjepong is in a different league when it coming to cooking. Most chef are just chefs. However, Chef Eric brings art, creativity, personality and class to cooking. He's always professional and gives the most detail to his work. His interaction with people takes his love for what does to another level!
I took Dorinas Functional Home Cooking Course through the local adult school last fall. I have continued to take weekly classes since then. Dorinas emphasis is on cooking quick, nutritious meals using wholesome ingredients. Her forte is Italian cooking but she has a broad knowledge of foods and other styles of cooking. Her classes are well organized. Topics touched on during class include the choice of ingredients, possible variations and substitutions, nutrition, tricks of the trade, and tips on where to shop. Dorina is friendly and engaging and her classes are informative and enjoyable. Her class is the perfect starting point for someone with little experience in cooking who wants to learn the basics. Her class would also be valuable for a person with some experience in the kitchen who wants to broaden their perspective.
Donelles recipe for success in the kitchen is perfect: a deep knowledge of the science of cooking and baking that gives her the ability to be adaptable, a thorough understanding of the tools and gadgets of the trade so she can keep up with multiple steps of multiple recipes simultaneously, and a level of confidence that keeps her calm and in control from start to finish. The end result is home-cooked meals that seem like they came out of a high-end restaurant. My most recent experience with Donelle was when I hired her for a baking class at my home with myself and my team from work. Within just three hours, she taught us how to make three desserts. It was clear that Donelle had experience as a teacher, as she balanced her lecture with questions to the group that were fun and engaging, as well as stories about her experiences in the kitchen that helped us get to know her. We ended the afternoon full, more connected to each other (it is true that cooking classes are an opportunity for bonding!) and excited to try the recipes on our own all thanks to Donelles great teaching methods and familiarity with all-things-food.
Victoria was awesome!! Super friendly, professional and fun to cook with! We were able to get alot of cooking done and she was able to teach me diff techniques all while cooking some delicious meals for the week. Will def take more classes with her! Looking forward to learning more techniques , more delicious recipies and most importantly ways to make the most out of my groceries and not throwing them out because i ruined it.
