  • The Singer Studio

    (31 reviews)

Instruction at The SingerStudio is based on many years of vocal study and instruction at the University level as well as years of professional experience as a National Recording artist and solo vocalist. Here I have achieved great success with all of my students in all singing genres from country, R&B and Pop to classical to jazz and everything in-between. Before I created the SingerStudio I owned a very successful talent agency and booked nationally. I have a wealth of understanding in the music business and know how to help the beginning singer ground themselves and the aspiring artist launch their career. We also help with songwriting if desired as I encourage every student to find their inner voice. The best part of teaching someone to sing is helping them find their own unique voice and style. I love opening the door to healthy singing so that my students can access it for themselves.

I am a vocalist and voice teacher, and I live in Fairfax, VA. I perform, teach and love what I do! My foundation and technique is in both Classical and Jazz vocal styles. My experience and versatility in classical and contemporary styles of singing has allowed me to delve deeper into the abilities and colors of the voice. I am able to pass on healthy technique to my students regardless of what style they are singing in. With a healthy vocal foundation, you can apply good technique across genres and discover your true voice. The voice is a fascinating instrument with many tools for expression. I invite you to discover your own voice and how to use it efficiently throughout your registers. Whether you want to work on using your chest voice in a healthy way, learn arias, bossa nova tunes or want to sing beautiful pop songs you like, I am open to it all. I love good music and sharing it with good people. I teach kids (age 8 and up), teenagers and adults.

My students regularly set and achieve goals for themselves. Each month they are given progress updates where they self-assess, as well as give me an instructor assessment. We plan their lessons to help them reach their goals efficiently. I love helping students to learn; there is truly nothing that compares to the experience of watching someone make a connection in their musical study. Helping students to progress past the limits they set for themselves is EXHILARATING!
