It was such a pleasure working with Eleven Courses. As the wedding planner, I hired them based upon my client's taste to be our premier caterer for a tented wedding reception at Glenview Mansion on April 11, 2015. Eleven Courses not only worked with me throughout the whole process, (i.e. tasting, contract, and walkthrough at the venue) they were always very responsive to my questions. In all honesty, their blend of professionalism and friendliness immediately made me feel like I was part of their team. The day of the event, Eleven Courses went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfectly executed. They arrived on time, helped to set up the table linens, plates, glasses, etc. contracted out by the tent company. The presentation of the food was immaculate. The food not only looked great, it was delicious. As well, the food was more than enough to accommodate the guest count. The guests raved all night about the cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres in the mansion, and the main entrees served during the reception. Clean up was also perfectly executed by Eleven Courses. Their staff of servers were excellent and very helpful, and our tandem coordination made things seamless. I am so excited to work with Eleven Courses again, and cannot wait to recommend them to my future clients. They will for sure be one of my premiere catering vendors! I was beyond pleased as a vendor, and individual. I am all about customer service and they are outstanding. Eric & Chrissy are beyond great, and down-to Earth individuals to work with. They also go out of their way to ensure that your vision for food at your event is executed. A big thank you! Edelina was by far the best wedding planner we could have hoped for. When we didn't know where to get something she had an answer or suggestion that helped us tremendously. We would gladly recommend her for any other couple looking to get assistance for their wedding. My husband and I hired Floyds DJ Services for our May 13, 2017, ceremony in Woodbridge, Va. Finding a DJ had proven to be my toughest task during the wedding planning phase. . . that is, until Kacey responded to my request for information. She's pleasant, easy to work with and was always responsive. The constant threat of rain for our outdoor ceremony has us wavering on whether we'd be outdoors or move the ceremony inside. Kacey remind flexible as we didn't make the final call until just hours before the ceremony was to start. We were lucky enough to have BOTH Kacey and her husband, DJ Unknown, for our ceremony and reception. He is a GREAT hype man, and together, they read the crowd and played the right mix of old-school jams (as I requested) and current Top 40 Hits (including a ton of songs from my personal playlist suggestion). DJ Kacey even got on the dance floor to lead the crowd into a line dance and help get the party started. Their sound system was super crisp and there wasn't a single glitch! We had selected a final song to be played, and when it came time, DJ Kacey and DJ Unknown surprised us with a PHENOMENAL send off by having our guests line up in a receiving line to end the day. In a word, it was pure magic! Floyds DJ Services is a true example of exceptional quality that doesn't break the bank. I'd recommend them 10 times over! -Kevin G.
Baby shower went so well. First time I hired the help of an event planner. All my guest even the staff of the venue was amazed by the decorations just the way I wanted it to be. April was always on time for our meetings and responded to my calls as quickly as possible. April was very organized and very detailed on the project. I would recommend April to my friends. I will certainly contact her for my next event.
Angie of Honey Do Wedding and Event Planners was one of the best decisions we made throughout our wedding planning process. She was affordable (especially for a student and military wedding) but always made us feel like her number one clients. Not only was she a great value, but she went over and above what we were expecting. We hired her to be our day of coordinator, but we met with her on a regular basis and she always responded to all calls, texts, and emails. Angie is incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and has connections with various other wedding vendors. As a same sex couple, she never treated us any differently than an opposite-sex couple, and she actually was great at recognizing the subtle differences that come with having two brides. At our first meeting at a potential venue, Angie came prepared with examples of her work and binder with all of our info. She even printed out new forms that said bride and bride instead of bride and groom. These small but significant touches are what make Angie stand out among other wedding planners. She helped us negotiate with vendors to get better prices and confirmed all vendors the week of, lifting a lot of the stress off of our shoulders. We can't speak highly enough of Angie and the Honey Do family!

Omg!!!! What can I say about Bianca she is god sent. I first seek a wedding planner in 2015 my wedding is 07/07/17. She has been with me every step of the way weather it's exchanging ideas or dealing with last minute issues. I would recommend her gladly knowing that she will get the job done. I really appreciate you and the hard work time and years that you have put into my wedding. I am still at this point trying to make up parties so that I can still keep her around. Where to begin? At first I was extremely against hiring a day of coordinator as I was convinced I did not need one. I was EXTREMELY wrong! I could now not imagine my wedding without Trina and her team. Trina is extremely organized, easy to communicate with, and thought of details that I would’ve have overlooked but ended up being so important the day of. Trina offered advice, helped me to make decisions, and used her wealth of knowledge to help me visualize that I wanted my wedding to look like. There was not a question that Trina did not know the answer to. Trina and her team were fantastic. Before the wedding she triple checked everything with me and my husband, called and confirmed with all of my vendors, and communicated with other important members of our bridal party about their role. During our rehearsal she clearly communicated expectations for the day of with all of my very large bridal party and helped everyone feel comfortable with their role in the wedding. Everyone was complimenting her and her team’s efforts throughout the night. She and her team were always one step ahead of any potential problems or disasters, intercepted any issues so that I did have to deal with them, and paid close attention to detail. The best part of working with Trina was that I was able to have a worry free evening with my guests and was able to enjoy my wedding. I knew that Trina had everything handled. One of the many reasons why my husband and I decided to hire Trina over other vendors that we interviewed was because of her professionalism, knowledge, and experience. Trina and her team worked tirelessly throughout the day to ensure that everything went according to plan. She and her team were constantly present during the night to ensure that we were calm and comfortable, communicate with other vendors, guests, and me to ensure that our day went as planned. She set up the reception space beautifully and wrangled my guests (and groomsmen) to where they were expected to be throughout the day so that we could stick to our proposed timeline. Trina was there to reassure me, hide me and my bridesmaids away from the groomsmen and groom, ensure that our ceremony music and order ran smoothly, and even made sure that the train on my dress was picture perfect before I walked down the aisle. At the end of the night Trina and her team had everything packed away and stored for us to easily transport home. My husband and I were dreading the clean-up process by Trina already had it handled. I cannot communicate how thankful I am that I decided to work with such a wonderful day of coordinator and her team. If you are on the fence or unsure of whether you need a day or coordinator or wedding planner in general, just do it! Trina and her team are phenomenal are our day was seamless because of her and her team’s effort. We would hire her and her team again in a heartbeat and heartily recommend them to anyone in the need of a coordinator. Thank you so much!
We hired Lisa to be our on-site wedding coordinator a month before the big day, and she jumped right in and helped everything run smoothly and efficiently. She worked with the on-site staff to decorate and prepare the venue and she did a great job. Would recommend Lisa to others.
READ THIS IF YOU WANT EVERY WONDERFUL DETAIL!!!!!!!! I first got engaged in April of 2017 and am a physician in Virginia. My fiance and I were looking for a wedding planner who would be able to put together a wedding reception that looked like an outdoors starry night...but INSIDE a ballroom. I had heard of Mitch via a family friend and through some research....when he came to visit my mother and I for the first time, we were incredibly relieved. Before we had even officially hired him, he already went to work! On the FIRST day he met us, he already brought in ideas, venues, prices, and significantly reduced rates on everything he presented because of his extensive relationship with his vendors (he has been doing this for a very long time and I swear he knows everyone)! The take home point about Mitch is simple.....he will give you UNBELIEVABLE results at a price that you could not imaging possible. His artistic abilities are unmatched...he designed a candle lit forest for me INSIDE a boring ballroom and even changed the ceiling of the ballroom into a beautifully lit piece of art (circus ceiling style with crystal chandeliers levitating to the flowers on each table with floating orbs of candle lights). I come from a large Egyptian family and Mitch is very experienced in hiring specific vendors for YOUR specific wedding needs. Again, he is EXPERIENCED and is not new to the process. There are thousands of times where Mitch would handle situations and prevent stress from even coming to my mother and I. I CAN ACTUALLY SAY THAT I HAD A COMPLETELY STRESS FREE WEDDING AND REHEARSAL DINNER!!!!!!!!! And as for the wedding....everything went as planned EXACTLY...not one thing went wrong even though the old saying goes that you should prepare yourself for something....well....we actually had a perfect wedding. Mitch even surprised me with a firework entrance for my husband and I....this is how Mitch is...he is among the most kind and LOYAL people I know. If you want a wedding planner who will literally take away your stress and create a wedding above what you could ever imagine, Mitch is the one!!!! <3
Kimberly and her assistant did a great job. They arrived later then expected due to traffic, but jumped right in with helping to set up for my wedding. They were so helpful with the ceremony and timing of the entire night. I had a DIY wedding and having Kimberly there really helped take some of the stress out of the night! Thanks again Kimberly!!

When my now wife and I set out to plan our wedding, we were one of those couples who thought hiring a planner was unnecessary. We had roughly 6 months to pull it off. We fancy ourselves as reasonably intelligent and financially responsible people and we thought that was plenty of time. Fast forward 4 months. The stress began to mount and panic had set in. Our budget is dwindling. We broke down and decided to hire a day-of coordinator. Better late than never, but who do we call? Every one we spoke to was either way too expensive or not the right fit personality wise. Thanks to Thumbtack, we found Vanessa. We are incredibly happy we did and we couldn't have pulled off our awesome wedding without her. Here's just a few of the reasons why: 1) Attitude - She has the PERFECT demeanor for event planning. She kept us on track, but was never pushy. Very personable and easy to talk to. Every time we spoke to her we felt both at ease and motivated to check more off of our list. 2) Creativity - Simply put she has great ideas. Whether it was decor, logistics, floor planning, etc., she listened to our inputs (which weren't always in lockstep - welcome to married life) but put here own spin on things. Our wedding was weeks ago and we still are getting comments on how beautiful everything was. 3) Contacts - Vanessa made great recommendations for vendors, and didn't do so based on any kickbacks or financial gain to herself. In fact, we had one vendor who was somewhat flaky that we had already booked. She was able to line up a "just in case" vendor for us. 4) Organization - Nothing fell through the cracks and she thought of small details we didn't have the capacity to (because we were too busy being crazy pants). 5) Value - She is worth every penny and I would argue she is a bargain for the service she provides. My husband and I are so grateful we had the opportunity to have S.D events assist with our wedding day! Sara and her sister were extremely professional and worked so hard to get the job done! Sara was so much more than a typical day of planner! She made sure she was well informed every step of the way! Sara was very quick at answering ALL my questions! Sara helped keep the wedding process as fun and stress free as possible. My husband and I were able to enjoy every minute of our day ( and our days leading up to the wedding) because we knew Sara had everything under control we trusted her completely ! Most importantly, Sara & S.D Events made us feel apart of their family, and made sure we were taken care of. We have already recommended S.D Events to our friends!
Paul was a wonderful officiant- he was professional and kind. He was very receptive to what we wanted and suggested a format for our ceremony that fitted our needs well. He was timely, nicely dressed and very prompt and helpful in filling out paperwork. We would highly recommend Paul to anyone looking for an officiant for their wedding ceremony. “Alyssa was my awesome day-of wedding coordinator for my June 2017 wedding in Fredericksburg. In addition to being there for the day of the wedding, she also came to the rehearsal the night before. She even stood in for one of my bridesmaids who was late to the rehearsal, which helped a lot! Alyssa made the next day go by without a hitch. She was the point of contact for all the vendors, making sure they were where they needed to be per my instructions. She carried out each task with grace and kept everyone calm. When it came time to introduce the wedding party at the reception she jumped to the rescue. I had forgotten to tell the band to introduce my parents and in-laws. She sprinted to the band with their names and nobody was the wiser. Alyssa Glorioso is the perfect wedding coordinator to have by your side. She will make sure your big day is glorious!”
This is my first experience with a wedding planner so I want to be fair. ,First, I think she had to deal with s tough bride did well. Our budget was pretty low and she did pretty good at staying in it. We loved the venue she found us. On the wedding day she brought helpers with her and they all did an amazing job! The wedding went perfect. The service couldn't have been better. The whole night was a blast! So, I will say, yes I would recommend Phoriah Events! She did our wedding while being ready to have her baby at any time. Very Happy. We have wonderful memories forever.
