Ryan had a great repor with my dog Dottie. We focused on leash training for my strong, stubborn and food motivated hound. Not only we were we able to accomplish significant strides in reducing her anxiety on a leash, Ryan spent time educating me on my dogs mitivations to help me be more anticipatory behind the leash rather reactive. Life changing - thank you!!!
I took my cocker spaniel to get a haircut and she did a great job at cutter her hair. My dog seem comfortable around her and she even gave me tips on how to clean her ears properly. I would definetly recommend her. She was nice enough to let me stay during the process. I am very happy and most importently so is my dog!
Our Waggy Walkys dog walker is wonderful.
Tristan is so great with our dogs! When the time for their walk with Tristan is near, they sit attentively and wait for hi to come. He's also firm but relaxed, which I makes him a good leader. That's key for us, because ONE of our guys thinks he's the boss! We've never had a dog walking service before, and Tristan was our first and will be our only, for as long as we can have him :) You can trust them with your woofies!
I couldn't be happier with the training that we've received from Social Tailwaggers. Jodie, our trainer. is so patient and very knowledgeable. The first time we met, we discussed what training I was interested in and what goals we were trying to achieve for my dog, Cooper. Cooper was around 10-11 months old when we began our first training session. She immediately began to introduce new skills and commands to work on training Cooper. After each lesson, Jodie sends a detailed email outlining all of the skills we worked on and suggestions to help with practicing on my own. Jodie was also helpful with recommendations on types of toys and feeding bowls to help with the energy level of my dog. I would highly recommend Social Tailwaggers to anyone who needs help training a new puppy or an older dog. It is well worth the time, money and effort to have a well trained dog and not only are you going to have a well trained, better behaved dog, it's also a lot of fun time spent with your dog.
I returned to my home in Virginia after having been out West for a few years, caring for my parents. Upon my return, I learned that my closest friend had just weeks to live. She wanted me to be with her. At the same time, my little 18 month old dog was not well. We still didn't know exactly what was wrong, but with increasing frequency, she had severe bleeding out of both ends! It turned out to be a serious autoimmune disorder, and she must receive pretty close attention because symptoms are subtle until it is a life-threatening emergency. I was torn, knowing that my friend had two cats and I couldn't take my dog with me. She requires medications and a special, home cooked diet. I placed a notice for an emergency, 24-hour pet sitter who could take my dog in their home, because she wasn't well enough to be alone. I received many responses. I chose Nikki partly because of the caring message she left me, and I was impressed with her medical background. Upon meeting Nikki, I felt reassured, and appreciated her directness and honesty. I felt very little trepidation about leaving my little dog in her care for what could have been a few weeks. Finding Nikki was a gift. Trusting her with my little dog came easy by the second day. She always made time to talk with me when I called to check on my pup, and the details she told me helped me to know that she was keeping a close watch on the little one. Her love for animals is very apparent, and she notices everything. Nikki has, on several occasions, taken my dog into their home on very short notice, and on other occasions, has kept her a day or two longer than planned, again without prior notice. (A couple of times, my home cooked meals for the dog ran out, and Nikki cooked up a batch without being asked.) Nikki is very knowledgeable concerning medical issues and treatments, and I NEVER worry when my dog is with her. My pup enjoys every second with Nikki and her family, and it's a special treat for her to go there. She is well socialized during those visits, with Nikki's family and seven pets, with neighbors and friends, and with other pets that Nikki sometimes has at her home. I have gifted my dog with a 24-hour stay at Nikki's home on quite a few occasions, even when I didn't need a pet sitter! Nikki has far exceeded my expectations of a pet sitter, and I've always received from her so much more than my money's worth. I highly, highly recommend Nikki. She is skilled, patient, reliable, honest and caring; she notices every detail, and she LOVES animals! I'm so thankful to have found her.
I used Canine Dominion to help me with my aggressive dog. My dog would go after other animals and sometimes people. Jauvarie the owner took a special interest in my case and came out to help. When the lessons was over my dog was a completely different dog. Jauvarie's knowledge and skills are amazing. I would definitely reomment him to my friends.
We were VERY happy with Kim's dog sitting services! Kim took absolutely great care of our Pomsky and our Great Dane and sent us pictures every time she visited our house. She is responsible, punctual and our dogs love her!
Hired them for daily 15 min walk for my dog. Reliable and they provide small reports for how his walk went. Andre has been very responsive to any schedule changes and questions I've had regarding their services.
Sheila has been watching my dog one day a week for about a year now. He is 120 lbs of love and energy. She keeps him occupied and happy and he gets so excited when he gets to see her that he would be flying if he could. That is the best recommendation that anyone can give her! She does whatever is needed, is on time and is great.
Could not be happier w/ Fabiola. She clearly cares deeply about our four-legged friends and takes a personal interest. We recently had a situation where there was a potential emergency with my dog before she arrived for a walk (ate some potentially toxic). Fortunately it was just a scare and nothing happened, but Fabiola contacted me and we were able to handle it and my dog is doing fine.
Took in Noodle after she had been tossed from place to place. She was in pretty bad shape. Vanessa took her time and worked with Noodle to be able to get the matts out. She looks like a new dog. Will definitely have Vanessa groom her again.
I enjoy training with these guys and gals. They always have answered the "hard" questions whenever they eventually do come up. Nick has mastered the nuance of dog obidience training and doesn't mind sharing his knowlege with his students and being available for questions by text, email, or cellphone at all hours of the night and day. Nick's motto is "contact me anytime, day or night, rather than train incorrectly for 7 days". I highly recommend the "package deals" being offered rather than purchasing single lessons saving $50 right off the bat on four lessons.
Haywood and his staff of experts give each client the individual attention needed to help solve any dog behavioral issue. Sessions are tailored to specific needs, and classes are fun and educational. Haywood and staff helped me transform my shy/timid/over-protective poodle into an obedient and happy and social member of the family. Haywood dog training is the concierge of dog training. I highly recommend them. Top dog for this outfit!
I strongly recommend Cupid Pets for walking/boarding your pets. After I found Cupid Pets, I do not hesitate taking short or long vacations because I know my dog will always be in good hands. Kimberly, the owner, and her helpers are all reliable and trustworthy. They love what they do and are very caring.
Pet Peeps continues to provide excellent dog walking service. They legitimately care my dog and are the best dog walking service I have used in DC. Very affordable prices.
Mary at Quality Time was so nice to our three dogs. They took to her immediately. Quality Time was responsive, timely, and very service oriented. Definitely would recommend their services to any one needing pet walking and attention.
Denise is an Outstanding Pet Sitter. My dogs loved her and were very happy to be in her care. I would highly recommend Denise.
My wife and I recently wanted to attend the Maryland Terps Super Regional baseball game in Charlottesville, VA. We had not left our 7-year-old Doberman, Lily Rose, alone with a dogsitter in this area since we got her. But knowing Jennifer and her two dogs, Tiggie and Jimmy, and how well Lily Rose got along with them at the park over the last several years, we were confident that she would do well for this day-long trip. The good news was that our Terps won a great away game against a very strong opponent. The less good news was that Lily Rose was upset that we left her in a completely new situation. But our confidence was rewarded by the Moores patience, skills, and loving nature. Lily Rose took to them after a little while, accepting her fate, and learned to like her new surroundings. The Moores home is neat, dog-friendly, and great for the dogs play time and napping. We heartily recommend RunandPlay for dogwalking, dogsitting, and overnight visits. Jennifer and Brendan love dogs and truly know how to take the very best care of your pet/family member. We look forward to sharing Lily Rose with them again (and I know she will enjoy her time with Tiggie, Jimmy, and the dog beds).
Ron is a very caring and compassionate man who my dog loved! He is knowledgable about dogs and their needs. I would highly recommend him.
