Latest Review: “Fitness should be doing something you enjoy. It should also be something that challenges you.” This is one of the first statements Mr. Phillips told me when I was complaining about wanting to “get in shape” but not knowing how. This is also one of the many ways he showed me that he is a different kind of trainer. A few key words: Motivating: I have stopped and started plenty of times. He has always had a perspective to share with me that encouraged me to try again. Patient: When I’m frustrated with myself or my progress (or lack thereof) he is not. He reminds me to be patient with myself and patient with the process and to remember to enjoy what I’m doing. Validating: You will notice that he will compliment you before he corrects you. Meaning, he will say “good! One more...” and then he’ll fix your posture or your grip or point out where to focus your muscles’ attention. Realistic: He pays attention to where you want to go and he pays attention to how you’re going to get there. He will not push you further than he knows you’re willing to go and definitely not just to prove a point. He will pace you and that pacing may include a small challenge when he knows you’re ready. (Surprise!) Finally, the last thing I’ll share is his psychology about fitness and the necessary mindset for sustained success. At one of his group fitness sessions he said “when you leave here & find yourself in a tempting situation, you’re going to use the mental toughness you get from exercising in here to stay mentally tough out there.” He’s right. Fitness is a state of mind that benefits many other parts of your life. If you’re going to trust anyone with your fitness journey, GoalFigureFitness is it!

Latest Review: Gus is such a thoughtful and knowledgeable personal trainer. I was a complete beginner in the gym and he was super patient with me and ensured we worked at a pace that was comfortable for me, but still ensuring we make progress. On top of that, his rates are very reasonable and he'll work with everyone on their budget. I highly reccomend hiring Gus if you are serious about getting in shape, learning about nutrition, and want to work with someone who understands what it's like to have been a beginner!

Latest Review: I have had the pleasure of having Mike (the owner) as my personal trainer for the last 3 weeks. He kicks my ass and pushes me during every session, but also checks in to make sure it's not too far above my capability. Mike also asks how I'm doing outside of the gym and makes sure I'm keeping up with working out/doing cardio on the days I don't see him. He's given me a realistic training meal plan that I can follow. Mike is the second trainer I've hired from Thumbtack (the previous one moved back in May) and I'm so thrilled I chose him to be my new trainer. I've already learned quite a lot in the short amount of time we've worked together and I cannot wait to see what the next few weeks/months bring! Also when I come into the gym, I not only feel welcomed by my trainer, but by the other trainers as well. Such a great gym with awesome trainers to check out!

Latest Review: My wife and I have been working with Kyle for just over a half a year now. With our initial plan on getting health we felt working out would be the way to go. While most personal trainers focus on either your endurance, strength or stability, Kyle focuses on all three and more. From setting up monthly workplans, nutrition guides, or fitness training, it provides a well rounded experience. We have been able to see a noticeable difference in the short time we have been working out with Kyle. We would highly recommend Coach Kyle and the Fitt Factory.

Latest Review: Evan is an AMAZING Fitness Trainer. My case was a little bit unusual but here's how it went: I arrived for our first meeting with a body racked with stiffness and pain from a long term illness. The hip and spine issues made it difficult to move my body even for a simple sitting position. By the end of week one I was doing small moves in equally small sets. By the end of 8 weeks I was doing planks, lunges, dying bugs and weight bearing exercises by the full set. Evan is patient and persistent in working within your bounds but is willing to push you so that you do not get too comfortable. I'd highly recommend his services not only to give your body more flexibility and physical strength but also to help you learn at what level to push your limits and to appreciate that deep down improvement in your core health, which I suspect you'll experience soon after you begin your training. My best to the reader and, to Evan, thank you for the way you changed my life. Dawn DeBlois

Latest Review: Adrienne McDonald has been my trainer for a while now, and I have to say that she is by far the best trainer I have worked with. I’ve never really felt comfortable with most trainers, but Adrienne always makes me feel like she has my best interests and training success as her priorities. I always feel like she cares, but she also drives me to do my personal best. Another thing that sets her apart is her attention to proper form in each training situation. I have learned so much from her, and I highly recommend her for her skills, her wisdom and the results that she produces. I feel blessed to be able to work with her.
